A Little Biblical Reference.

Today based on a devotional I got in my email. I decided to write out my thoughts on a certain scripture, via facebook.  The Scripture was: from Malachi 3:10 (King James Version) Which States..

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it"

After Reading this  text I gave my personal breakdown of the scripture to facebook, Here was the post.

Fact: folks complain about Tithing in church the exact same way a student complains about college tuition. yet nobody complains about buying food unless its expensive. But because you need to eat to live. you pay for that food. & because you need and education you pay for that education. But you still choose not to tithe churches because you feel that they don't need money to feed your head with Biblical Knowledge?  #Justsayin

With that said The Devotional I got was in reference to Finances and managing your money. When We WORK we receive Pay, with that pay, we have to take care of our Needs First & our Wants Secondly. The Bible encourages us to give to the church Because we are going there for learn something from a teachers who are not being paid to teach, and for what ever services they may provide, inside of a building that has utilities that need to be paid for. Therefore Tithing is a great way to help this church sustain.

I could go on and on, about the fact that we all pay bills to services that we believe are a necessity, and when the bill is due, we pay up, otherwise we ;lose services. It's a big Trade. When you Trade, you Give & Receive. You might say "Well the people who run he church should have Real jobs to pay for it themselves" There may be churches where the pastor and all its clergy have Regular jobs and do pay for the upkeep of the church. but with that is a strain and struggle.on their personal families. what the Tither & the Offering does is remove that burden. Also. The Church shouldn't force you to tithe, but it is a display of gratitude as well as it honors the scriptures. You give what you can afford to give. If you can't, Don't. But, to feel like You shouldn't have to give the church anything, is not a good thing.

Maybe the church doesn't NEED the money, maybe the Church doesn't WANT your money. But Honoring the scripture as it states. is still a great reason to do so. It's no different than donating to another cause to see it grow. The Growth is part of the overall blessing, as well as the personal blessing you receive from God

No doubt you hear preachers on TV begging for donations to their ministry. That's a little different than tithing what they want you do do is Donate or "Sow a Seed" so that they can continue ,providing services that need to be paid for. nothing in this world is truly free, for example, TBN exists because the people donate to them. without it. they wouldn't be here today. Especially now that Paul Crouch is deceased. Now there are Others on TV who are Scheming, but If that's what they're doing. only God can deal with them in the end.

It's one of the same reasons Many people have decided to not attend churches, which is crazy because Tithing or Offering should be the reason you Withdraw from the church. I personally don't go to church because of the Distance between my house and the churches I'd rather attend. Otherwise I try to stay Fresh in the word.

With That said.. On the subject of Churches, My Cousin mentioned something in reference to the amount or Churches in our city,,,
I've done some checking, and there are over 200 churches in New Orleans. Yet we are the Murder Capitol, and we Lack in Education & have a Growing Homeless Population, You may ask why am i saying this, But remember, The Devil quoted Scriptures to Jesus. Can't no man buy his way into heaven"
This is something that I have looked at as well, but I also look at it as part of an issue that cant be controlled unless everybody involved decides to change their ways and take back our livelihood. Here was my comment to that.

At some point The choice is upon the person to seek Jesus & Education alike. that "it takes a village" statement makes a whole lot of sense. a Pastor, Teacher or Coach can't really save somebody who ain't willing to give up something to be disciplined in another. especially if that persons family isn't doing their job.Going to Church won't change a person unless that person is willing to abide by the laws of the Book and the laws of the Land.
Those are my Personal views and that's just How I feel
