The funny thing about this is that It was the song was sang by Teddy Pendergrass of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. & I just found out that it was written by the late John Whitehead. I guess that was the connection I got from that song & "Aint No Stoppin us now"... Same Vibe to it.

Katrina was the wake up call & after I hadnt slept in a bed for 6 months ..lol They Tried to Get us out of the city fast but they couldnt people were still there for weeks...
The People & Our Government Couldnt Handle This Situation, It was A Load of Confusion. There was nothing Planned Previously to Prevent or Make Light of this whold disaster. Nobody was prepaired

New Orleans was a war within itself. The Corruption in the local government & schools. the murders & all the madness goung on Was just too much & it was time for a change. but Change happened "The Day After Tomorrow"....

Wake up all the teachers time to teach a new way Maybe then they'll listen to whatcha have to say Cause they're the ones who's coming up and the world is in their hands when you teach the children teach em the very best you can.

Out here in Houston There is a school That was opened only for New Orleans students. Its a great school. The children are doing great. My neices, my nephew & my youngest brother all attend & are making A's & B's .. Passing. I feel that these kids are going to be the ones to grow up & forget about the New Orleans way of life. Hopefully They'll be the ones to go home & make it a better place.

Wake up all the doctors make the ol' people well They're the ones who suffer an' who catch all the hell But they don't have so very long before the Judgement Day So won'tcha make them happy before they pass away.

It's so many seniors who arent getting the benifits that they Need & should be getting Due to Hurricane Katrina, The Hospitals are closed or inaccessable and things like that, I have a grandmother Living in N.O right now. I dont want to attend any funerals anytime soon.

Wake up all the builders time to build a new land I know we can do it if we all lend a hand The only thing we have to do is put it in our mind Surely things will work out they do it every time.
