I read an article about a Christian college student who identifies as homosexual in the Southern Digest.
There was a comment on the article by someone named Clarence, a retired computer operator. Here’s what he said:
THE ARTICLE HERE
_________________________________________
"Don't cover the issue by bringing up other sins. This subject is specifically about homosexuality.
The Bible speaks against homosexuality and NO scriptures support it. So if you are going to be Gay, help yourself just, stop trying to justify it through the scriptures. Be what you choose to be and leave the Bible out of it. As for judging, Judging is forming an opinion. When you point out a fact you are simply taking a stand. I am pointing out the fact that the Bible says homosexuality is an abomination to God and will keep you from entering the Kingdom of heaven. It's not judging, it's not my opinion, these are facts stated in the Bible.
If you are going to be Gay, you will be a lot better off to leave God and the Bible out of it. If anyone can call himself a gay Christian, Know this, "What you call gay Christians are only here on earth. There will not be any gay Christians in heaven", according to 1st Corinthians 6:9-10.
It mentions EFFEMINATE,(effeminate is a man with qualities associated with a woman.)
...nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,...read it. Also read Leviticus 18:22
Brothers and sisters in Christ, I'm glad to see you all standing up. When it's scripture supported it's not judging. Continue with the scriptures. To the young lady, "I think you should keep your sex life private".

I agree with some of his points about holding scripture seriously, but I don’t agree with telling someone that if they’re gay, they should “leave God alone.” That’s not right.
This could very well be a phase in her life. Everyone goes through tribulation. If she loves God, the church, and the Bible, and continues to seek guidance and truth from God, she’s doing the right thing, no matter where she is in her personal journey. Maybe later in life, her perspective or lifestyle will change, but right now, she’s trying to stay true to her faith.
I personally disagree with the lifestyle choice of homosexuality, but I don’t think it’s right to say “God hates gays.” She’s reading, believing, and trying to understand, that’s what matters.
