The incident took place before 5 o’clock at the corner of Tulane and South Claiborne Avenue.
Workers in one of the buildings at the scene reported hearing two or three gunshots, looked outside their window and saw a group of young men running across the street towards Charity Hospital. They said one of the people collapsed before making it to the hospital.
