After Watching GSU's band Since I was little, I've realized that What people say is True, but yet exaggerated. and always used against them. both Good and bad things
When I was younger I thought it was cool to see a GSU in all the commercials.
Now it seems as if They just Make everything they do a publicity Stunt.
The band was built off of Exposure.
They went by Various field show titles until they reached "World Fame"
Grambling Usually Sounds better in Their Stadium. (why is that I don't know)
In the past they seemed more original, Lately they've been Gimmicky and themed.
To me (after watching season of the tiger) the band is Less organized than i thought.
at one time you could comment on Gramblings Band and actually say that the "Band" sound great.. Now days . You can single out a section that isnt playing up to the level they have in the past.
I always thought that Grambing was a Country school
Sometimes The Band Sounds GREAT But Then The Arrangements are Crappy.
to me 2004 was probably one of their Better Years since 2000
I thought the band was Great until i was exposed to Jackson State
Grambling isnt the worst in the SWAC though, that goes to one of Those Alabama bands
Although GSU and Texas Southern have to Completely Different styles of programs I see the similarities.
Grambling Is Probably one of the Most Achieved Bands, but they dont appeal to whats around them at times which make them look and sound bad at times ..
What i mean by that is, When they battle, they tend to Not be aware of Who they are playing against.
As for the SWAC GSU stands somewhere around the level of a TSU and UAPB Which means that Alcorn is Beneath them (so is MVSU and the Alabama Bands) everyone else is Better.
Grambling would be a whole lot better if their Director wasn't Focused on Himself
