Hip Hop and G. Craige Lewis

he preaches against many rappers and lyrics on his broadcast, website and his in his church. he doesnt care for "holy hip hop" (like kirk franklin and others) ...He spends his time anylizing these rappers names and lyrics to let people know how Hip hop is worldy and wasnt created out of the love of god, he says that it cant be turned in to godly music ..

He says he dislikes all hip hop. the whole culture ..

His comments have been turned off on his sites so you cant express what u feel to him. maybe because thousands have already cussed him out and things (which is wrong to do)

The Thing that i find od as that he preaches against the artist and lyrics (and any supporters) .. but he uses the Hip Hop beats his his Videoes and Mp3 streams ..

He also has a laptop full of it to let people hear the music .
.. on top of that.. Just like he says that Hip hoppers want to look like thugs he has hus "hip hop gear" as well . If thats what you want to call Wearing Jewlry, Baseball caps, T shirts, Jeans and etc. (cause its the same thing) ..

my only Question comes from this here ....

If Hip hop is evil and unholy. what music is Godly music? ..

Classic American Church music is "Country Gospel" .. at one time Country music was said to be "Evil"

Gospel Hymns -
originated somewhere in old Roman Catholic impire times (Gregorian Chants and hymns).. but everybody doesnt agree with that either. Those "happy tunes" can also be used in evil themed situations as well..

Rock and Roll was said to be the devils music in the 80's . Now its Hip Hop.......

But All forms of music came from somewhere else

this would make just about all Modern Music Evil... right?

so my questions to that are...

What is godly music?
Where does it come from?
how'd it originate?

and last but not least

If god doesnt want us to listen to Worldly Music or "Gospel music of the World" for that matter .. what kind of music are we supposed to listen to?

None?

i dont know .. but to me, Preaching against "The Devils Music" is like preaching against all music

Remember, Lucifer was an Angel who was a Musician as well.. Music wasnt the thing that got hm kicked out of heaven..

If The Devil was a musician.. and so am I, does this mean that im of the devil? .. No, cant be.. Right?.. ahh...

In My Book All Music is just music.. and anythung "uholy" can be turned in to the works of God.. as well as the Holy things which have been used for evil as well...

.. Thats about all i have to say about that...

My thing is if you can dish it out why can't you take it? Why would you not accept comments on your site, but have alot of negative to say.

You know, I actually like to hear his sermons though, some things he says are truthful and i can understand his points, but at the same tome he exaggerates everything that he'd like his wants people to believe.

there is nowhere ein the bible where it states any forms of music as being evil. maybe a persons lifestyle, but not the music they listen to.

I don't agree with all thats done in hip hop.

I am a Christian and i listen to all genres of music. As different as they are, They all tell the same stories over and over. much is very influential

anybody in their right minds doesn't have to let listen to music that will Provoke them to do bad things.

Yeah G.C Lewis does speak the Truth about a lot of things and i agree with him on many of his sermons

but i don't like when He targets one specific rapper and uses he/her as a reference to represent ALL rappers. Same as what Oprah Did.

you cant blame Homosexuality on Hip Hop, Maybe Narcissism but not Homosexuality nor could you blame any other Cultuere or lifestyle for their action by tageting the music they listen to because before the music people were doing the SAME THING.

Sorta like putting a stereotype around music genres
