Project Safety Net

I Came Across this site Just surfing online.

Following Hurricane Katrina, we formed a small group of volunteers and were referred to 3 families in crisis by a Red Cross worker at a shelter in Atlanta. We contacted each family by phone and asked what they needed, what size clothing they wore, and if they wanted help finding a host family to stay with until they could return to their homes in NOLA or find a more permanent living situations.

Just some of the Things They have Done

Through in-kind and monetary donations from a large network of people, we fully clothed 41 people, including 18 children, and provided gas gift cards, grocery store gift cards, and retail gift cards in the first week following Hurricane Katrina. Since then, we have assisted almost 100 more people.
