Alleged Facebook Virus

Apparently somebody's found away to get facebook passwords steal account Info.

I recently got a message from a guy with the title saying

I was shockedd by your behavourr!

and Inside was a link to a Geocities Website which links to the Spyware file on a page that looks like Youtube, [[ http://www.tehnomaxdata.com/YczpgK/?schk=&keat= ]] (PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!} with the title "Secret Video By Tom (with a photo of Tom from Myspace)

The Video There Acts as if its loading, yet it states that you need an updated version of flash to view the video. and the setup automatically pops ip on screen.

Anyway.. Apparently this Message went to loads of People because Not only did i converse with the guy who it came from. but i got a messege from another person asking if Facebook had a Virus.

Here's what I told Her and him to do. (sort of as a general messege .. I might throw it in a not as well.
My Theory is this... it's Spyware, HiJackers sent through Faulty Facebook Application which steals Info.

Those applications are 3rd party programs . when you add them you give your login info to that application account holder. I believe that someone hijack account information from one of the applications.

facebook would have to investigate that and terminate the application. and then ask users to change their passwords.

The best thing to do in that case though (if you think you might have it) is to check your privacy settings and the saved application data .. and Remove The apps you rarely use. OR go to Edit setting and uncheck where it says "Access my data even when I'm Not Using the Application" then save.

Other than that. There on the old facebook there was a area where you could remove your info offsite services. I can't seem to find that link. but it should be in privacy also.

Like i said though. I don't believe this is a Virus. .. It's just Spyware that leads to an intial virus.

I explained this to a girl, she stated that its more than one kind of messege. she got messeges from multiple facebookers.

Now Too... The Guy that sent Me the spyware stated that he changed his password and people were still recieving .. IMO. it's basically what I had explained . Faulty Application Spyware/ Hijackers.

People, If You're on Facebook. Please Share This information with the folks that think they have the virus..

People are going to start leaving facebook if they dont do something about this..
