another take on Kwanzaa

I did a thread long ago called Kwanzaa Krap where I released my feelings about the teachings and things. I still fell that way. but here's a difference.

In the case of Sankofa which is a West African word from Ghana we should know about our culture (or african roots) ..

In my old post I stated that Kwanzaa was created by Americans (and was kind of a substitute for Christmas). They dont celebrate it in Zimbabwe, which is in South East Africa, while The Slaves were Kidnapped from the West. so the ties to Ghana don't meet up. Therefore the word Sankofa does not Exist in Zimbabwe. .. It's very confusing to learn an East African related culture when our whole lives African History told us that we came from WEST Africa.

I still believe the Kwanzaa is False and that If we went anywhere in Africa, mainly in Zimbabwe , They don't have Kwanzaa. because the so therefore there the Ngnuzo Saba isn't related really Kwanzaa Princepals; They're just words that part of Zimbabwe's language and culture. That means that Kwanzaa would be Year around if that was the case.

I still believe that They all Sound Funny and arent Necessary for tracing your roots UNLESS YOU ARE FROM ZIMBABWE ...

The Kwanzaa Symbols are Still Useless in my book. because they dont relate to West africans. It relates to American black-ism. more than anything.

The Flag is the only thing i can support because to me, it IS a symbol of pride. here's what the link above states about the flag

Note: If u look on the actual site it says "The Colors of the Kwanzaa Flag" .. its not a Kwanzaa flag. Thats like calling it a Christmas flag inwhich there isnt one. Marcus Garvy introduced the flag before Kwanzaa was Invented...

The rest of that Mess is Generated from Other Religions and Cultures. I don't believe that people in Zimbabwee did that stuff.

For Me. The Akan symbols would be more Knowledgeable to know

There is more to Know. I still believe that Kwanzaa is False, but yet it's okay to learn the principals. Just Not to Tie with West African or it's only going to Confuse you.
