This Is John McDonogh

Well Yeah, Thats Exactly who this is... The History behind this man is that he owned lots of land in N.O. and when he died it was donated to the city *in his will* .. while living he was basically the creator of many New Orleans Public Schools once known as the McDonogh Schools.. they were all segregated and mainly for whites.. only few of them still go by the McDonogh name. others have had name changes over time.

Anyway .. yeah that statue sits opposite of Gallier Hall, which used to be New Orleans City Hall at some point Back in ancient times ..LOL .. yeah yeah.. all that junk...
