LOL they cant take the heat

I brought up The Subject of them wearing helmets on the board, many were in agreeance with me, but there were a few SU cats that came in to tell me how lame and wrong i am ..lol I feel like this .. If they did it thats them... lol but its just Tacky.

Here's the Thread, but I'll point out what i was trying to get across...

First comment against me and others was this...

By an Alabama State Members And people wonder why SU has cocky attitudes. You mean to tell me that some of yall on here couldn't figure nothing better to say about them than what they had on. That tells you alot about the people who commented on there uniforms, & what type of program you come 4rm. I bet nobody was lookin at they shorts when they was blowin across da field....

My Comment to that

okay. It's not about the Shorts .. It's about not wearing full Uniform to a televised game. Why wear Helmets and tux gloves if your not wearing the suit, it defeats the purpose .. .. i

BUT THEY DID IT BECAUSE OF THE EFFECT OF THE PLUME WHILE MARCHING ON THE FIELD .. THATS UNDERSTANDABLE ..

BUT..Thats the kind of stuff you'd only do in a dress rehearsal, not at games

Next one by an SU menber

they are not going to jus throw a Su uniform on ground....where are they going to put alllll them uniforms????? with out having to leave the stadium....and it was hot on the side Su was on....the other side was hot 2 but it had a little more shade because the sun was behind the press box on that side most of the game....if u was at da game..u should know how many pass outs they had and u should have heard the EMS sounds alllll game..and this was a national event true..but..sh*t u gotta look out for people's health... .it's not southern's 1st national event....with bands like SU,GSU,FAMU,JSU.......they can come out in drawz and wife beaters and people still gon know they have a great history behind them...but hey if your band not use to being on t.v. and have a national name for it's self ...then they should worry about simple things like full uniforms in 100 degree weather n the health issues after the game...smh

and so to that i said ...

See, You're focused on the wrong thing ... Its not about taking off the uniform at games .. . its about WEARING A HELMET WHILE NOT IN FULL UNIFORM.. those Excuses about not wearing full uniform dosent make up for the fact that you all wore helmets and gloves .. We knew it was hot .. that the only Valuble reason for not a full uniform.. you could've left the helmets as well if thats the case .. Next you're going to say yall used the hemets to protect yall from the sun. but i knew from the getgo that The only reason the helmets were worn is because of the effect you have on the field while rocking and whippin' .. I said this 3 times akready... Every dicision made by directors arent neccessarily great ones, it happenes to everybody. dont act like SU is a perfect band. We know that every band makes mistakes. This was one of them. No it wasn't that bad. but it doesn't look good either. .... some of yall take things too serious man.. its not like anybodies hating .. Critisism is not a bad thing .. it's the people who take it all to the head that make things like this seem like a negitive smack thread .. dawg i could tell u right now .. we have worn our helmets (and many other hats lol) w/o suits.. but it was during rehearsal ... not a game, not a telivised event .. and yes its ALWAYS hot in Texas.

Then an SU Alum comes in after replying to another topic with this

,,,And Book, why would you start a lame a$$ topic like this. SU wasn't in they're uniforms but they were still UNIFORMED! Everyone had on the same thing. You are obviously trying to steer up some mess with this topic. Its GARBAGE man!

I like the way you edited your post and added them last two paragraphs after you read what I put. I wanna know this though. You said that MR. J made a MISTAKE by having the band wear what they wore. In who's eyes is it a MISTAKE? And who are you to say it was a mistake? Worry about your own program dude. You all have opinions. But what makes ya'll think Mr. J or any of the SU band staffgive a d@mn what ya'll think about the decisions they make. If ya'll don't like what you see, thats good. But some of ya'll should major in music and get your own bands and run them the way you all see fit! Bottom Line! Now, close this silly a$$ topic that you started.

To That Post Above, I basically highlighted the word Mistake within that comment and said .. "It Is What it is, as well as posting a picture of TSU out of uniform in the helmets ..


it's like they took it all wrong its not hating nor smack, just plain criticism they take all of that to their heads as if SU's the perfect band .. Bad Decisions get that kind of heat.
