All this week I’ve been hearing about the scheduled Events surrounding the schools demolition. eventually I received an email regarding what’s happening. Within this email it stated that several Alumni from early classes have scheduled what is being referred to as a Repast in honor of our Legendary School.
As the Message states Orleans Parish School Board have rescheduled the demolition date to allow the John F. Kennedy Cougars to hold its Final Roll Call. The School itself is off limits but we’re welcome to use the parking lot freely.
They’re hoping to have a Music, Brass bands and much more to make this event worth while.
The First Event is being Held October 9th all day. The 2nd Event isn’t listed but I believe it’s on the 24th.
Hopefully many of my former band mates are there. because this is just that big of a deal.
I’m actually preparing to record the event. as well as have a CD full of songs ready with a few band songs on it to get folks in spirit!.
Kennedy has and will be missed by its Alumni and Fans of the Marching Unit and sports teams.

Demolition is a part of life. It is like having something special and you have to lose it to gain a better one. However such acts should be done legitimately and only by demolition experts.
