This Isn't big at all. but here is the deal. I Replaced Lifehacker with Tech Crunch. The reason is because Tech Crunch is more up my alley. Life Hacker talks more about the gizmos within technology. Tearing Down The Projects???

Just Got word that The City is going to Demolish the Neighborhood I Grew Up In. Thats Kind of a hurtin' Feeling. Im already halfway home sick. Now this. Man.. Those buildings are still in good condition. It's not only my hood being torn down. it's just about all of them. The Melph, The Nolia, The Calliope. The Iberville., Laffette.. are all gone now ... on top of that ..The New Desire appartments were distroyed in the flood. smh..... I think that N.O should be Built Strictly Brick & Cat 5 Proof.

when I go back to live I want to go home to a "NEW" Orleans ...lol .

How about Tearing down the French Quarters? They Ain't Gonna Let That Happen..
That area had the least ammount of Water damage... Why? .. iono .. i guess that part of the city was built on "high ground" . ( buzzer sound ) ... And I Know That Aint True

Old Cartoons Charaters Turned Anime

.Why is it that Anime is "The Way"... a big example is that New Batman. thats just american trying to mock anime.. I dont like it much.
Some of the charaters are OK looking but That New Joker Charactar is a mess. I liked the American looking Versions Better. How about you?



. I've always thought that Anime, was a big lack of Animation .. but i guess its The Thing. The funny part about it is that The original anime toons were made in the 80's ..lol Like all the DragonBall seasons. I had a subtitled japan version from 1989 and all the so called "New" characters were on there..lol ..

US cartoonist try to do the same thing and it just looks dumb. :)

I set him up with SimHouston.com Account so that he could access the SimHouston Software on these PC's. Can't Wait ti'll we get Microsoft Office though. Then we could really get going.

So Im lookin at my GVisit map and I see the New Orleans mark. I Zoom In and There it was The Mark Near Zavier. So My Guess is. That Either Xavier University is Up & Running OR Its a XU Employee (such as a proffessor) whos reading my blog. Cool ... Most likely this person or persons have been reading my blog for a good while. .. Yeah thats nice.. Keep it up..lol
My other guesses on who this could be are. a resident who lives near XU but I doubt it. OR it could be some one from our WVUE Fox 8 Station which is also nice. Well... Shouts out to Bob Breck ....... LMAO!

Should N.O Be Rebuilt?

After Reading THIS ARTICLE/POLL Im wondering WHERE WAS I WHEN THEY DID THIS?!!

I Feel Like this. New Orleans Should be rebuilt & then its Original Residents should be Asked to return from there. if they don't want to go back Thats on them. When they start missing what they had back home They'll realize what they really lost; and that Heart.

I dont care if they tear the whole city down I Want to go back Someday. I'd give them a good 5 years before I Return, But Hey. Then It'll be worth it. lol

Most of the people in N.O have never been out of N.O. They don't even think about the stuff going on in other states Majority of the time. All The Tradition The Real New Orleans Residents could care less about the people in the Surrounding parishes. and they all know N.O is Violent so they Blame Their Bads on N.O also.

Just Last year there was a shooting at Walker High School it was all over the news & the net. This IS a New Orleans Public School. The Following Week there was a shooting at a school somewhere out side of new orleans at a Baptist school (full of black kids) .. The Headline on the News article said " NEW ORLEANS: Another Teen Wounded In School Shoot Out" THIS MAKES NEW ORLEANS LOOKS BAD .. The School wasnt In or Near New Orleans. It was in Terrytown, which is somwerer in Jefferson Parish.

Speaking of JP... What Ever Happened to the Displaced people in Jefferson Parish? we cant leave them out. Jefferson Parish had just about every race in the book ? .. did they take part in This NEW ORLEANS poll? ...

What ever happened to the Asian people in New Orleans East? Did they take the poll? I'd feel Left out if I was asian. They never include asians.

After Photo Pick-up!

After I Picked up my photos at Target. I found my self walking Through the store when I was stopped by this Girl. one of the Store Employee's. She Tried to get me to sign up for a rewards card. I sworn i wasnt gonna do it But she made me.. It was funny. She was kinda nice lookin' & I was Lookin Terrible. lol......... see... I went up in there with a dirty T Shirt on...lol.. felt kinda bad... Other than That.. We were Just Talkin as I signed up .. She was so Happy... It made me feel Like I should Go Back In There Lookin Clean So I could Holla some more.......LMAO.

Anyway .. After that. I Went To Texas Southern. The Full Band was just getting out of practice. But about 30 of them were still on the feild Doing Armys .. (thats for people who miss/shown up late in practice) .. anyway.. They were marchin up the feild playin some music soundin' Real good.

I went down the block (on Campus) to look for my brother. Didnt see him at all. So I talked to some of the Band Members & were showing. them the Pics I had printed. They all said they saw the pictures online also but they still were glad to get the real coppies. .. While Standing there I Happen to Run across Felix.. Felix was a Cat from New Orleans & also was a Member of The Band at JFK (our Alma Mater) .. I hadn't seen him in a real long time. He was so happy that he wanted me to crack his back Like i used to do Back at The K. So I did that. lol...........Felix Also plays snare for TSU so thats a good thing.

Later I ran in to Perry... LMAO I Got Him In Trouble....... well, he got himself in trouble.. On one of the pictures He's holding up a Sign thats Only supposed to be Thrown Up by members of One Frat Organization. THEY GOT ON HIM FOR IT! .. HAHA!!

After That I Helped my brother bring The groceries & Keyboard in to his Dorm...
Everybody stormed the room Hoping Jaime would play his keyboard... He Said "Yeah Now Im about to show Y'all How musically Incline I Really Am!!." Everybody Laughed but he was serious. ..lol .. They Watched Band Tapes and then I headed on Hom...I Had fun there .. I Cant Wait to start School Next Year!.. MAN!!!

Just got The News That Rosa Parks Died. This Should mean something to every black person in america. Everyone knows Her Story; But Did we ever Thank Her for What she did? Some Have, Some Haven't. But we all should be thankful that She did what she did.... If she hadn't, We (Black Folks) probably still be forced to get to the back of the bus. It Took a tired Old Lady To Fix that For us. That was one of the most recognized names & faces in Black History.

Although you only have Bad memories of your brother. Memories are Memories & as long as you recognize that He was and still IS your brother I respect you for that. Some family members tend to disown there own family if they dont like them. Greg wasn't like that; So I'm sure you aren't.

He was real close to my family. We had Good times & bad times but Greg did live for his family. Mainly his Children.

When The Majority of the people in my area heard that greg died It was just Unbelievable. Even if they didnt know him by name. They knew that he was The Tall Bald Dude that Looked Like Debo from the movie Friday & Tommy from the Martin TV Show...hah ..

Unfortunately I Dont have any pictures of him. I wish I did though.

Finding Chat

Earlier Today (Yesterday) I was Emailed a link to the PetFinder.com message board Regarding My Sisters Dog "CHAT"... from there I only had a chance to read & not post. It was about eight pages of post entries consirning Chat. I was suprised that Chats Story got so much attention.

Well.. when I made it home from work; My sister was talking to a lady who posts on petfinders message board via phone. This lasted for hours. Various calls from Sister to sister comparing & confirming look alike photos of our dog. so Now we are at my sisters home (yeah the one with access). checking it out. Mike Jones!...WHO??!

Not the rapper.... My Best Bud from School .. I knew him since 4th grade. He's in the NAVY & Had been lliving in San Diego Ca. Along with his wife Jamaica since 2002. cool People.


I called Mike last night. I hadn't been in touch with him since way before Katrina. He says that im the only person other than family to call him. so it made his day...really! he was suprised. I called unexpected & well.. It was good talkin to him. We talked about the whole Mess with Katrina & he also told me that he was on the rescue squad during the Tsunami. Wild


It was good hearing from Mike Jones ... He's supposed to be sending me some pics of him and the fam so I'll keep you posted.

Julius & I Have been here trying to get some things situated. Here at The Center need some software for this hardware. I tried installing some stuff & I found that I had to update a few service packs. I did 3 PC's today. It would be nice to have a few Windows XP Computers In here though. What we need are some programs Like Microsoft Word & Excel to get some things going as planned. How will we get this software? I do not know as of the moment.
Hopefully I'll learn a few new things while im here also.

Mo' Bad News

We ain't Movin' No time soon. The Appartment That we tried to get was inspected by FEMA & It won't be availible untill December. The bad part about this that I put that appartment Info on all my Work Forms. Hopefully My mom will get another appartment in that area so that I wont have to change my full address. Hopefully I'll be able to do this over the phone. because I don't know the exact location of the TFA center & I also have no transportation.

Here's what's new with me. YEAH IT IS ANOTHER LIST!!!

• I'm Now an official Technology For All Employee
• Monday I Went to The Tech For All CTC Located Somewhere in Houston.
• I Got a Chance to meet some people. Like Nykki! & Uhh... Don't Be Mad that I Forgot your names..LOL Well.. Anyway They all Knew me Before I could even say anything.
• I Talked To My Cousin Tandra Recently. She said She Loved the Entry I wrote on Our Survival and Tragedy... She says she even saw his picture online. Im trying to find that now.
• I Finally meta Real Cajun Person. The Accent is Similar to But Better Than. Gambat & Rogue of The X-Men. In my head i was saying WOW!!, REAL LOUISIANIANS! This was during Teusday's Food Pantry.
• YESTERDAY We got this center up & Running (Thanks to the Mark). Efrem Opened it to the public Yesterday during yesterdays food pantry.
• Now all we need is to get the word out. .. COME BY HERE!..LOL

So Last Night was Eugenia's Going away Dinner. We all went to the original Ninfa's restaurant. The food was great. Yeah & MEXICAN.... I loved That Buritto on my plate. That night I had got a chance to meet some other folks who volunteered at the Astrodome. There was also that guy who liked my art work .. I forgot his name but he was a volunteer also. He asked if I was in to comics.....

My answer.. Only the the artwork & the Characters themselves.

which Brings me to my favorites........ THE INCREDIBLE HULK & SPAWN.

Why? Because both Charatars are like outcasts to life itself.

Hulk starts out as a good regular guy, but you wont like it when he's angry .. He's Still a good guy But he releases all his stress when he becomes all Big & Green.

Spawn on the other hand was Burned to death, Went to hell & Was chosen as Spawn Leader. But Eventually "Care" Struck & Hell Didn't Want him there.. So he Spends the rest of his days as an outcast that defeats Evil .. but yet he's evil himself...

Things about NO's Bands

Someone on one website wanted to know why. a Kennedy band fan was talking abour Carvers band so much..

Here was my responce

Kennedy & Carver's bands are one in the same. We used to march together as a joint band in some events... Why? our Directors were Brothers. ... They knew some of our music. we played some of theirs. but we didnt play eachothers traditionals. ... We got along so well till we had a battle every event then went to eat out afterwards ..lol



Carvers band wasnt as known as they are now .. they started back up in 98 and didnt get Good untill 2000 .. Then they became a 160 peice band with 8 dmajors (which was weird) .. They became the most popular band in the city. and then all of the bm's flunked out and they all went to reed. .. Last year carver was about 60 members at the beginning.. By parade season they were 120+ then they dropped again .. (this was the band that came to GA) .. they sounded better in 00-01
basically Kennedy Helped with Carvers Creation..

Fortier.. ...This is a band with a history 20+ year old history that collapsed in 95 with Miguell bonds (reeds popular Band director) took over..

Reed.. Reed has always been a copycat band. .. The band started in 1989 ...they didnt get good untill 1996 they became better in 98 .. then a BD swich and then their bd started recruiting everybody ....we used to refer to their members as "Alumni" because they used to march with alumni and their band members also came from other high schools ...... Reed was a 220+ band in 2001 .. This made all bands in N.O shrink because of their BD bribing our members... in 03..their bd left and reed had only 54 people ... carver got big again..
Then reeds bd came back and they got huge again but they werent as good .. but the rep they built in 2001 had them going


McDonogh35 was an 80's -90's band .. after that they started playing Rap songs and then they dropped.. but they were always one of N.O's great bands

St Aug... Best Band in N.O history.. yall know their story.lol

Kennedy best public school band.. Status is Similar to ST Augs....... Kennedy's has been around since 66... it wasnt fully black band untill about 78..... they became popular in the 80's and then made a strong rivalry with St. Aug Fortier and McD35. .. Kennedy's Band became popular in 1991.. every year was progress untill 1995 when Doc (the director) caught a slight stroke & a new bd took his place .. it was one of kennedy's worst years as an organization but as far as Sound goes . it was the most popular and best year for them (sound & Size wize) .THey had 186 Members **EXACT NUMBER**....... Doc came back & then Lawrence Rawlins Came to assist......... Lo kept the band going after doc retired. (in 1997) .... Kennedy stood at 150+ ....Kennedy was still playing traditional tunes along with extras.. 1999-01 was good some good years.. fall 01 was the start of a downfall but we managed to stay strong... i graduated in 02..... 02-03 was a good year for them .... then they got real small due to a director swich.. most Bandmembers quit... they became small & other bands got bigger But they (kennedy) never lost their tradition.


the thing about new orleans bands is that Everybody was cool with eachother.. so our rivalries became friendly ..

New Orleans Is made up of about 7 districts. Within those Districts are about 18 wards. only about 15 of them are Highly populated by Black people. With in those wards there are Known landmarked areas. Such as The Housing Projects/ Nicknames areas & Big Streets.

The 9th ward - Currently the most Talked about Ward on TV at the moment.
The area they are showing We refer to as The CTC. (Cross the Canal). Its in New Orleans East Going toward St Bernard Parish (which is a bootleg city on the side of new orleans.. we call it THE PARISH) lol...... The Other side of the East Goes toward Michoud (sounds Like Tissue)

Bad News: Bethany Has a Tumor.
Good News: Me & Bethany Have Been Together for 10 months now as of October 12th.
Bad News: I'm Currintly Assuming Bad Things about our relationship.. But I'm Trying to Let it go.. Because it ain't worth it.

Hear's The Dea with that.

Just Last Teusday (if im correct). Bethany Called and told me that Something was wrong and that she was leaking fluid from one of her breasts. I told her to go get that checked, Because thats not a good thing......... So She calls again Wednesday in the at about 2pm. .. I Knew it had to be important because we only talk after 5 or 9 at most...

Well, I Called her back & she told me that She had some BAD NEWS Unnfortunately Its a Tumor. Yep. The Doctor gave her a Mammogram and she found a lump in a similar area as the one she had before But in the other breast (yeah she had a tumor before & it was removed) .. Well .. The News didnt scare me. But she said that she was scared that it would become cancerous. I sure pray to God it isn't. .. After That We talked later.......but it was just about the new things that im getting in to & how Blessed I've been since I've been in Houston.


(Now Here Comes The Bad Part)

After That Call....... we didnt speak any time that next week Do to HER not answering her phone when i called .. heres what happened .. it was 10/8 I Called about 4 times in a row.. No Answr... the 5th time I called, The phone was answered , but when i said "Hello?" I didnt get an answer; so i listened in and all i got was a muffled sound of music and voices. i figured she'd pick up the next time i called, so i tried one more time but her phone was OFF. Unfortunately This made assume all sorts of things....... [Note: This hasnt happened to me before so i don't have a clue] .. (another thing.. The Reason I was calling her was just to make sure she was OK with the whole Health Issue)......._Back to the Story..Unfortunately This made assume all sorts of things...

1. She was probably Chillin'/Clubin with Her Cousins are a Friend (Which if she would've answered the phone & Told me I would've been Fine with it as usual. )
2. She Was Driving & Could'nt answer
3. (and last) SHE COULD BE CHEATIN' ON ME .. But Remember this is only assumptions...
   

I Didnt Pay it too much mind though untill After I came from clubbin' that night..... see, I figured that She'd probably call sometime durring the week when she isnt busy ... Untill LAST FRIDAY (10/14) ... I called Her a few times.. No Answer...... So I sent her a Text Message that said [[No Calls, No, Answers? Wutz Up Wit Dat?!, U Wrong 4 Dat.. Im Str8 Tho, *OUT*]] I Thought She was going to respond to it.. I dont even think she read it.

Well After that I called my boy Corey & Told him that I felt bad & worried and that I Also Assumed that she was cheating... just talking bluntly i said that That I Would Justbreak up with her if that was the case. but With out letting her know.... I would just try to avoid her calls & things. I also told him that, Doing that would hurt me more than it would her. Because I love that girl to death. .. See.... she knows for a fact that If we were to break up It would be have to be something serious.
at the same time I felt that It Would lead her in to believing that I'm serious about our relationship. .... So Me & Corey Just Talked and He kinda Just Incouraged me to Stand my ground and we I came to a point that I really need to have a Serious conversation with this girl on that level......

WELL!.......MORE BADNESS .. Inbetween the callsl to corey I Sent a Voice Message to Dejuan saying .. [[its over, I cant deal with it.. so if anybody asks anything.. Im not with her & you heard it from The Book]] ...Which I sent him this because I knew that he'd probably tell someone or Post on the Board that I broke up with her (or even call her to tell her what i said ) & then it'll cause Confusion and controversy (which it just may will) ... i dont think he did that though ....but that ain't the thang...
Dejuan called me back and i told him what was up ... he said that He had more to tell me about that situation & that he knew something i didnt know .. BUT .. because of who and how dejuan it. I'll just let that go .. I'll IM him to tell him That I was just playing or something... Nah.. I'll just tell him Im Straight on that note..lol..

Today after the TSU game i tried calling Bethany.. I didnt get an answer.. I tried later and she answered ... she was at a battle of the bands.. I told her what i was doing and we ended it at that for the night. .... I'll call her tomorrow to tell her that we really need to have a serious talk..about how i was feeling and some other personal issues.

See the reason is because Im trying to be Happy & be with Her.........

Ups & Downs are something i can't be goin' thru.. im 20.. our relationship is Long distance & I Trust her. I usually dont assume things like this But after Feeling played due to her lack of responding to my calls .. I just had to say something to somebody to get it out of my head.

Helping The Next Man

I'll be working with Technology For All & South Union Community Development, Inc. to help the hurricane victims with online services. This means everything from The PC Basics to Helping Everyone with Their Needs as far as finding missing family or Pets. Housing and all that other good stuff.

The center Isnt set up yet but We'll be up soon enough to stop them long lines at the other disaster relief centers. .. Well thats if they need Internet Access.


The Wild Part is that Im in the same boat as the people I'll be helping out

Im Progressing as the day goes by........& its only gonna get better.......

No N.O For Me

I Aint Goib' Back No Time Soon..lol .. We'll at least I didnt go back.. Hopefully I Will though.

Back to N.O... next weekend

This Saturday I'll be heading to N.O to retrieve some goods.. I heard that My building doesn't have much damage on the inside. Usually maggots and mold is all over the place . But I don't have any of that (From what my sisters say) .. Because of the condition of the area We aren't allowed to stay. The water and Electricity is still off so we're just out to get a few belongings and get back here in Houston.

Here are a few things I'll be bringing back to Houston.

• My Keyboard - IM Giving it to my brother at TSU because He wanted it anyway.
• My Big Leather Coat
• My Livingston Middle Band Staff Jacket :)
• My Compaq Presario PC that I told you all about earlier
• All the software & Hardware that goes along with it.
• My Cam & Ipod Software. Because I Forgot it (well it wasn't gonna be needed anyway)
• My brothers money bank.
• My fold out Chairs.
• My High school diploma
• My Jr. High Certificate. LOL
• My Bed... I haven't slept on a good mattress in days ..I cant wait

Yall Know .. The Simple Stuff.. And then my mom and dad will take their personal belongings.

I Need to buy my own PC .. But I want theirs ..LOL

I Wonder if bellsouth can transfer service from N.O to Houston.. I guess they can .. Oh well ....

Why did I just make a list of that stuff ..LOL .. I need to print this post out and bring it back to the city with me ...

From what I heard from Family and Friends Is that . New Orleans is Grey & looks like a Ghost Town. Even though people are there now, Its still a dead city. I Wanna go back Just to see all the madness...... IM gonna Take Pictures when im out there. Hopefully I'll be going .. IM really not sure if They'll want me to come..

The Book Gets Lost

So Yesterday I decided to Take a Bike Ride to The Library For some Bus Schedules ... I Never Made it. Here's How It all went Down.

I Started My Venture on Main Street Only to get lost... I went down Buffalo Speedway untill i made it to Braeswood... This is where i got confused............ WRONG TURN .. Should've took a Left .. I Took a Right....... .. So I went about a good 4 blocks & saw a street that I was fimiliar with. .. Kirby Drive That is.... I Stood on Kirby untill the next avenue Street .. uhh.. Harcomb or Hotcomb or something .. i dont remember. But anyway .. The guy told me that Stella Link was about 5 blocks down to the Left once i reach that road. .. I went about 12 blocks down.. Passed up some Train tracks And I ended up in an area called West Bellaire I saw nothing but Catholoc schools, Churches. Mansions, big cars and all this Richness.. I even passed up a shells Technology Center .. I never knew something like that existed ..lol ..by then i knew i was lost so i kept down untill i saw the Interstate.. I rode down the Service road Only to be stopped by a police officer. He stopped me because someone had reported some bikes missing from the area. .. Well .. from there I asked him How do i get back toward Main street.. He told me to go down The Road untill i see Beachnut street make a left and i'll run dead into it. .......LIE!......

I made it to Beachnut only to find that i was by the Lowe's... That was FAR from my house :( ...lol . My Brother In Law works at that lowes ..(so i knew where i was) ..lol..............

But anyway .. I Stood down beachnut & i made it to Braeswood...... I went 3 blocks down braeswood and there was Stella Link ... I stopped by walgreens for a drink only to find that i had NO MONEY on me .. .. From there i started my journey home. I wasnt going to that library man .. that sad part it was only one block down ..lol ......i was too tired. ..... Its a shame man. as i rode down stella link i got myself lost again. .. i found the service road and ran into a dead end. .. I went into this neighborhood.. and took a rest (yeah i was gettin all dehidrated-n-stuff)... I Rested untill a guy pulled up in to his garage. so i asked him .. where was main street from there .. He told me to make a left at the service road and its right in front of me ....... So i did that and i stopped at the Dennys to get water ..... STRAIGHT FROM THE FAUSET OF THE BATHROOM ...... yeah that was nasty but worth it ..lol ........ I made it to main Near the shopping center areas and I took a nice 30 minute rest before i headed home .......... when i did get home i was all sweaty & my eyes were burning .. i think i lost a few pounds ..lol ... I was tired I lied down for a few seconds & took a cold shower.. after that i rested my muscles, watched a few movies and talked to my future wife Bethany ..lol

Man .. I went through all of that only to find nothing. Im in the library now. Looking at Bus Schedules .. Confusing........ Ahh man.. I Was looking for the routes to the South Union area where i'll be working soon .. :( .. Shame though ......... And the Moral of The story is. .......... Well There isnt one ... But its not good to be lost in Houston ......
