Although I've told this girl that she's very much appreciated as a friend. I decided to write something in her facebook honesty box. It's basically just to see how she responds. because she feels that people don't know the real her. but knowing her on a personal level. I know that she's outstanding in many ways. being that i know what she's going through, I see that she's managed to stay strong and keep her self on a level where she can succeed.

I talked to my brother about his housing situation

So ..they told my brother he makes too much money to live in the public housing . (yeah I said that In the other Entry) He's renting from a guy who's house was put on the disaster home assistance program (DHAP) which made it "Public Housing" ....
. Now he has to move out by the end of april because he makes too much money. He was paying $641 a month ..They were going to raise it to $900.00 but after talking to the folks in the offices. about what his options were. he decided to move out. With that said. He will never be able to come back in to Public Housing system making The kind of money he makes.

He compared his situation to Pre Katrina where he made just 1 dollar an hour less. and he was able to Rent his own apartment.. He had New Furnature, appliances and everthing. and then Katrina hit. which was a Big waste of money as he would call it. Before he moved in that appartment he was still living with us. He moved out in 2005.. when he knew he could afford to stay on his own. back then his bill was under $500 dollars

alot of people assume that people living in public housing pay under 100 dollars to live there. and thats false. In The case of the projects, we didnt pay Utilities. Now we do. because we live in regular homes. So i look at it this way. For a person bringing home less than $1300.00 dollars a month. Public Housing was affordable. But since the rents are Up and there are no Projects. .. that same 1200.00 a month will make you go Hungry after paying rent and utitities..

At the end of the day.. The Home Owners Have to Eat too. so I see why the rents are so high also

But wow, I really dont think a person should be Released from the system because they CAN AFFORD to live there .lol

when I was gone, I left 4 rechargeble batteries in my room drawer.. THEY ARE GONE.

Please note. I took My Charger with ME to Houston with only 1 set of batteries for my cam.. I had the other set in my drawer just in case i need them THEY ARE GONE..

They were most likely taken while i was not here.... The sad part. is They have 4 The Same Batteries as i have their xbox controllers .. Now with that said .. THEY DONT NEED BATTERIES FOR ANYTHING ELSE They can Recharge their own batteries

but they have a habit of Taking Batteries and throwing them away once they go out... I told them to CHARGE their batteries

I know that They took them But my brother just lied to me about not taking them.. when my Nephew Slept in my Room and Peed in MY BED when I was Away.. I TOLD THEM NOT TO GO IN MY ROOM.. Unfortunately the door does not Lock..

and what they dont understand is

I do what I do because it keeps me away from this house. It keeps me busy and keeps my mind where it should be. Yeah I know people get paid to do what I do. but they don't see that I'm trying to get paid evetually.. BUT THEY DON'T SEE THAT!

Every day I go out there is a practice shot for me. No body who does photography just pics up a camera and becomes a millionaire for doing it. Many I was inspired by some good people to do what I do. and I love what I do. No I don't get paind for It . But It keeps me happy. and I go Everywhere because of it.

What they don't understand is that I don't have the equipment to be where i need to be in a position where i Can charge people. But thats not what I want to do now anyway.

Yeah I go by the schools and take pictures. its my Interest. Its my Only Real Interest. When I am here. There is Nothing I can do. I can't just go out to a bar/ club and snap pictures of people I don't know or have nothing in common with.. Man. I do what I do because I know that I can Do what I do.

They dont understand that The what Im part of is volountary , The guy over the site does not get paid for that site. He pays for that sites existance... Helping him with the development of that site in any way is my pleasure. And people appreciate When I get a "Thank You" from the people who appreciate my work.

I almost felt it coming..

So she asked a Simple question, when I answered, It all was thrown back at me. it never fails. this is why I don't want to be here. Seeems Like Everything I do Is wrong, I do what I'm asked to do, and it requires me to do something else. yeah its all good. But it never seems like its enough. from there I take more heat because apparently I'm always here to see things go on. The things i do nothing about.

If You want me to do something, Ask me, I'd do it. Why is it so backwards in this house. I was asked to cook. because my brother complained about not eating. I cooked. He didn't eat. oh well; I cooked and Cleaned where I cooked @. .. Unfortunately it was not enough. apparently I was supposed to make sure the rest of the house was clean in the process .. at this point she see's the Mop bucket sitting out font of the bathroom. She asked What was it for. I told her that I was going to Mop The Bathroom Floor but I Couldn't find the mop... She asked why. .. *because the dog pee'd earlier,, I got it up with a towel and some .. Apparently that was a problem. From there she complained about Me Not doing Enough to clean the house or make sure my brothers doing what he should be doing and so on and so fourth.. I do EXACTLY what im asked, but I cant read minds...

In this house I'm always being Put down because I don't do enough. yet she feels that "I got it good" .. No I dont.. why.. Because I dont want to be here. WHY? because I'm required to do things That Im Not Asked/Told To do.. Yeah of course. General Things around the house are Common. But dang. when I do do whats asked Theres always something else..

For example .. She got mad because. because apparently I mopped WRONG.. I used Pine-Sol. and she doesnt use because it makes the tile on our floor greasys ... And im like .. WELL WHY DO WE HAVE IT THEN??!! .. Im Just sayin'? ..lol .. She didnt tell me this Before she asked me to mop.. ya know LOL

According to her standards, I do Nothing right.. All she does is Complain.. but even if i do something about it. I make the situations worse. Then Im Cursed at and all this..
Thats why I cant Wait to Leave this bad boy again..

U know.. I rarely leave this house. Because they NEED ME HERE. but since im always wrong.. its like Forget me. ya know .. Its like Im always ON CALL and im TIRED OF IT ..

Now they all look forward to knowing what everybody is doing every Minute on the Minute ..LOL .. it's kind of silly.. its almost like Updating your facebook status every minute and having it feed to everyone..

Twitter makes Microblogging Cool. But IMO it just makes people who have LOTS to say. less Appealing ..LOL like myself.

This is crazy man, Apparently HANO told my brother that he makes too much money to live in Public housing. they raised his rent to 900 dollars a month. CRAZY HUH? .. Why? because he makes over S11.00 an hour. So Now im like Dang.. You have to be DIRT POOR to live in Hano Housing now adays.

Its like they're getting rid of the good people and making way for those who Chose not to keep up their residential areas.

He was issued his first Rent bill which was something over 900's ..

This is all after We all had to go to Hano to the Lease papers and things like that. . Its wild, I had to fill out an Unemployment paper that way 6 pages long. They want to know too much.. I'm seriously about to go to Lowes and fill out a Job Application. because man, these people look at you like if you're NOBODY when you say "I don't have a job" .. and then they talk your biz to whomever is around them. I'm like MAAAAAAAAN, ... Its almost like Their staff looks down upon people who chose public housing..

I feel like this, .. Just because its public housing doesnt mean the people who live in there should be looked on as the scum of the earth. because i know thats how you made us feel.. for example. My Other brother is in Texas, My momma told them he's in college. She gave them his scanned ID's .. The Woman stated that his Louisiana State ID was expired.. Then she said. He has to be here in 10 days or he has to get taken off the lease. We were like. Well He does not Live Here to do so.. She was like "Cant he take a day off" .. my mom was like I dont know. He may have classes or something.

Basically The dude would have to come here Get a NEW State ID Which will take MORE THAN 10 days to get here... Then he would have to go to Housing and sign all that paperwork. . IMO he should get taken off the Lease then.. because its TOO MUCH TO GO THROUGH!!

My Point is that. They act like they don't care for a persons personal Biz, They want their Biz Done so they can Talk badly about you ..

It makes you not want to live in N.O. and like i said.. My Older Brother has to pay 900+ Now .. HE SAYS HE WILL LEAVE N.O BECAUSE OF IT!..

But LOL. I asked this guy to please opt me out of his emails, I was receiving messeges from one of those black sites on ning that I never registered to. so I sent a messege to him after several attempts at trying to block/opt out of the site.

He sent me a Long message back saying This...

Not to mention your profile name doesn't show in your response, so I can't delete you from my "friend" list. What you should have done is read the link at the bottom of the invite that reads: To Control The Emails You Receive From "Whatevernetworkhere", Click Here. The link would then take you to a page where you can choose to : Block Sender or Stop Receiving Emails. The reason you're getting my emails despite not being a member of my network is because you added me or I you. When you post anything on Ning, you have the option of sharing your post weith: friends on that network, friends throughout the entire Ning network, your personal email contacts, or all of the above. You can also change what emails you receive (if any) by going to your SETTINGS link on the top, right side of the page. It seems like Black folks truly are computer and web 2.o illiterate. I am in the process of building a site just for us so that we can learn these things. I'm also creating a special section for Black Ning Users and Network Creators. I'll let you know when I'm done.

At This Point I felt Disrespected, So Here was the message I sent him.

Brother you have taken my simple request out of context.

After Receiving Loads of your emails. I tried Opting out and blocking the sender may times in the past week. it didn't work. this is why i sent the messege to you personally. with you being the administrator of the website I expected you to assist me in this.
Unfortunately I'm not one of the Illiterate ones like you assume I am. I didn't come to you to be Belittled or ridiculed. Don't appreciate being Disrespected. If you know who I was you would not be sending me an email in this manner. I Believe you added me to your friends list on the FTP Movement website. I left that network last month. not because of spam. but because I rarely went to the website. make any sense to you?

I run a Few Ning networks. Members of those sites only recieve messages of the particular site they registered.

My Point is this did not join your website, Therefore I do not expect to receive mail from your website.

How do you expect me to Opt out / Block Your Messages if I Tried those methods and it Did not work?

That is all I ask of you.

With that said... Sending Them to my spam folder would be a last resort. but I'd still be receiving your mails. That would only be redirecting the path of the email itself. I want to stop receiving them for good. Basically..

After that he sent a letter of Apology as well as letting me know what was up with the way Those Options work.. Which is All I wanted out of him in the beginning.

He stated that he always gets those kinds of messeges. But that doesnt give him the right to disrespect the site users for asking for help.

I honestly I feel that If you can't gove a person the proper assistance on your site, you should not be an administrator of one.

Okay folks, There's a marching bands forum on Nola.com. where many of us discuss the ups and downs of marching bands in the city.

but lately people have been ranting and complaining about how bad the bands are Yet they're not doing their part as former bandsmen to make the situations better.. Here's what i wrote at Nola to everyone

How I Feel

This was the 4th Parade season to pass Since Katrina. majority of The bands currently marching have only been around for 2 or 3 years. Majority of the Students were not in bands Before 2006.

You Can not compare These bands to their Pre Katrina Status. They just don't add up. You can not Expect these bands to sound GREAT when half of them have never marched in Band prior to High school.

I hear people saying "Reed & Carver Fell Off" all year.. NO PEOPLE.. Your minds are on Pre Katrina Expectancies..
Its not a falling off, its a Respawning/Renewal.


You cant Expect Directors to be the Saviors of Bands. The Guy at Reed is Not Miguel Bonds. You can not Expect a Miguel bonds band out of him. i know yall understand what im saying

.. I was Pleased with the fact that These bands EXIST .. because Just like Fortier aint ever coming back.. The rest of these schools could be in the same situation.

Think about this too. Look at your Middle School programs who've come back this yeaer.. They're Teaching & Preparing These kids for Karr, Carver, Reed, Easton and others..

My Point.. Its a NEW BEGINING... STOP THINKING OLD!!!!!

If Charles Brooks is at Easton.. Why is it that people stil ask "when is marshall coming back" ...

Thats like asking WHEN IS BELL COMING BACK! .. IT JUST AINT GONNA HAPPEN..

Honestly.. The people out of state have the Wrong impression of N.O bands because they Hear about Past Reputations and they Assume The bands are still the same..

Unfortunately they're not.. BUT ITS NOT THE DIRECTORS FAULTS .. EVERYBODY LOST OUT IN KATRINA..

Look at Kennedy.. If the school ever opens up. of course I'll be in support of my Alma Mater. But I wont expect the band to be Good Until Their is a Steady Band director And a student body of Experienced Musicians. As for High Hopes at the First day of band camp.. No I wont expect the band to be good in 1 year .. and thats how yall are treating the current bands.. as if they have the same kinds of bandsmen but its not.

Honestly. This is why much of My Focus is on the middle school programs Because those guys Will be Experienced enough Musicians to make N.O bands Better in the 2010's

We do all the ranting and complaining about these bands.. But Why is it we cant just be happy to know the these bands are a work in progress.. Cause like i said.. like Kennedy & Fortier they can be a distant memory..

The Game as Changed and only you can encourage the members to get better..

As for me.. I honestly feel that I'm doing my part as a New Orleans Band Alum.. How about you?

Finally The Book is Back!

man it took nearly half a day coming from houston ..LOL why? i guess we were going slow..lol
We got back home at 9 after leaving at 2 nearly 3 because of my dad going the WRONG way ..lol

We made an "Almost" Pit stop in Hick town ..LOL yeah we looked at the way the area looked and just Turned around ..LOL

Ahh man.. that was one of those OOO-Buh-NOO Moments ..LOL

Really though, We made 3 pit stops on the way home I'm glad to be back and well I have to unpack now. I guess I'll do that!

3 days till the weekend ..well yeah 3..LOL

I'll be heading back to N.O on the weekend. I think I should go pass by the school tomorrow just for the hell of it. Besides I still need to upload some stuff. The Connection where i am wont allow that to occour ..LOL ..


Ahhh Houston.. i guess I'll try the same thing tomorrow!

After a Great Day, I Experianced First Hand Racisim on the bus in Houston. Smh

Well I went by the school yesterday only for online purposes. I guess I won’t need to go anywhere today. On my way there, I spotted my Crab Brother J. Black on the bus 2 stops before I got off. Before that I was talking to Elmo and The kat from Texas College about becoming Officially Incorporated.

Other than that, On my Journey.. I decided to do something old school. I went to the Roman Pizza Pie place in the Houston Centers Food Court. The same restaurants are there but I always ate at Roman Pie. Oddly enough, the same woman was fixing the food and they still made the Lemonade by hand .LOL. I sat there for 20 Minutes before I rode over to the school. Something told me to go eat there today.. and that was probably because I wont be heading back there any time soon.

While at the school I spent time Uploading clips online from the Student Center. That took from 3 til 6. that’s just how long I was there. Because after that. I left the place.
On My way out, I spotted my boy Raphael from P Funk. Yeah. I haven’t seen him in a while. That was cool. .. From there I went to the bus stop.

There was a woman at the bus stop speaking in a foreign language. Maybe it was something from Africa maybe. But I thought her English accent was great. I Caught the 29 to York Street. From there I took a Few Pictures of what I was around. Then I hopped on the 50 back to the house!

The Bus ride was going great until we made it to Heights at some point near the end of Heights Blvd. There was a man that got on the bus Begging for Change. The Driver asked him to please get off the bus. He argued that he was just trying to get some change. Then after He ignored her twice. So She Called Metro Police from the bus phone. The man yelled “AHH SHUT THE F--- UP YOU N----R!!!” THAT’S WHAT YOU ARE YOU N----R!! YOU ALL ARE A BUNCH OF N----RS and JEWS” The Driver just yelled STEP OFF MY BUS.. He got off and pitched rocks at the bus as it pulled off.

Now, me, I swear it was a shocking moment. Because other than on movies and TV news and things .. I’ve never experienced that kind of Direct Racism. Especially with the guys tone of voice and how he changed from a Bum to a Racist just that quick. I mean Indirect Racism I have been around my whole life. But It Really Made me want to get up and Punch the guy when He Called that woman That. The Moment was so shocking I had to Think about it for a moment.. as if It really just happened like that. It made me nervous and furious. If I wasn’t far in the back of the bust I would have pushed him off the bus myself. . I guess the reason it was so Shocking too is that. Well yeah. I didn’t expect anything like that to Happen before my eyes. Especially while on a bus In Houston. The Home of 1000 Races and Cultures.

Before getting off that bus I thanked the driver for handling that situation the way she did. She if it wasn’t so many people on the bus She would have done something. I feel her to because after that moment my head started to sweat and I just shook my head like man that was so wrong. I took my do Rag off and I just balled my fists up because I really felt like punching something…..I looked around to see if the bus had cameras, no they didn’t… but it also goes to show you what kind of people the bus drivers have to put up with all the time.

… Life huh… Oh well.. 4 years of Obama WhooHoo!

.. I'll Make it look "Listed" just because...

• I talked to old boy at Texas College and we discussed the Incorperation of N Phi O and basically making it Legit Rather than Underground.
• From There It would become a 501(c)3 organization.
• All he wanted to do was have his letters Acknowledged on Texas College Campus. In order to do that he must inform the school that the org is on campus. In the process we will be brainstorming and getting the funds together to become Incorperated.
• Although we have no official HQ. once we're legit. we should be able to Presume what we do as a True Organization. Especially after being an Underground Org for so long.. It's about that time!.

LOL Enough of that listing. I guess this is my last week in Houston. i think i want to attend Jerimi's party but I cant/ its too late. I'd end up sleeping over. lol

its a shame though. I just want to head by the band hall one last time before i get on out of here.

I'm in the Process of uploading clips to youtube and bandhead.org. the sucky part about all of this is that my PC got overheated after an upload earlier. I know why though.

now.. Here's the sucky part ...

Last Thursday after attending those tryouts. I heard That Fitgerald was shot and is paralyzed. from what i got it could have been over Drugs. but thats his business. Fitgerald is a well known fellow as Drum Major of SU's band for the past 2 years. so it sux to have someone with that great of an honor to hold. be in the situation he's in now. He's got 2 daugters he has to take care of and i know he's gonna need help with that. somebody started up a group on facebook in support of him.  that good.. sad to know though..

So I Missed it

I was supposed to attend a morning concert band clinicbut things didnt work out on my end. After waking up at 2am and staying up til 4. I missed the whole thing which began at 8. i woke up at 8 so I decided not to go. from there I completed editing the photos I took. and uploading one or two Videos online. I can't wait to get home so i can upload many more clips. I should have put these on DVD and sent it to Prof Lee. but i can do that some other time.

it seems as though everyone enjoyed themselves over the week. I sure did. Yesterday was a day of rest for me. But lol i'm good. I still dont understand why That girl just gives people the shaft.. I'll tell ya about it in 5..4...3..2..1..

Aight, In 2006, Kris our only Female Drum Major just seemed to have this stuck up attitude. yet she seems to act like that with Everybody. I just dont get it though. Her Sorors were all there and she didnt speak to them either. I don't mean to sound rude or Offend anyone when I say this. but I think she's gay. she had some girl sitting with her, hugging her and everything. maybe its normal with her. but that just didnt seem Straight to me. That ain't my problem though.. Here's where i'm goin with this...

I Saw her the other day when I walked on Campus We were walking the same way. I saw her turn the corner but she put her head down while walking foward, not paying Attention to me at all. as for me I would have said Hi to her but she didn't bother to speak when i Know she saw me..

Same as at the Tryouts.. I stood in the Isle Right Next to her. She looked my way. I said "Hi Kristian" and she Turned her head away as if she didn't see nor hear me.. At the same time. During Auditions there was a situation where a heavyset girl had group auditions. She found all the Room to Laugh when the girl tried out. I even herd her on Singles . Laughing and Calling names to make Jokes. How Rude.. The Cold part about it is that the Girl was real good at what she does. maybe she's not in shape but she had the whole crowd on her side by the end of it.

With that said.. It's like With Kris, She has done a lot to get her Ranks up as far as schooling. and getting Greek Letters and all . But I find that she's very rude especially that she uses her status to belittle people... and to say this in ghetto terminology ... A Stank Attitude will get you NOWHERE.

I'm not trying to make her Like me as a friend or anything. But atleast be friendly when I speak to you in public. I notice she's never accepted my Friends Request on facebook either. I just dont get it. We were in the Same Band. You'd think that she'd be happy to know that somebody wants to stay connected to her.

But like i said. she's like that with everyone.

lol Yesterday was a great day. I was able to capture majority of the footage from The Motion Tryouts. at times my cameras battery power gave out completely but it was enough to plug up and get a good position.

I finally got to see who was who and their personal dancing styles. I enjoyed myself too. The Footage will be up REAL SOON!!

Ahh I remember doing this way back when I first got here..

There are many people at this school that upload photos directly to the PC without Deleting them. Sometimes I'd take a random photo and upload it to my blog just for laughs. Why? Because I know they won't find out.

These PC's are cluttered with loads of random photos people upload to myspace, facebook and other networks. Here they go! ..LOL well atleast 2 of them!!

Things Have Changed

Wow man, I haven't been Around here in years ..LOL I just walked campus to find that They've Removed all the Greek Plots and have created. a long walk with stairs and all that. it looks good but very different. So Unexpected ..LOL

I hope I get the chance to tape. I spotted one ocean member so far today. Yesterday was cool but today I expect to get more out of my day.

Great day Yesterday!

I went to Lakewood Church for the first time. There are many things. I passed by The Yard to and I saw my Crab Brothers and Sisters. I even met some more folks today. I sorta miss the Environment LOL but hey man It’s all good, I get to tape some band events there which is a good thing. I’ll also be doing a Motion Promotion .LOL Those are my Peoples!! I got to see Jermani, Chloe, Brittany and Quinsene’a. Krystle Didn’t speak but it’s all good. LOL I think I saw a Familiar face but I couldn’t quite get a name..LOL

I’m Excited about Tomorrow I will be N D HOUSE!!

There’s got to be a Connection

Honestly, today (well yesterday) We crossed paths and I strongly believe that there’s somewhat of a connection there. I mean man, Although the girl is cool with everybody just the same. Just that moment was enough IMO to say that a different kind of connection was made. Although it was a Quick grab of the arm & Hand. It was the look in the eye contact, her facial expression and the release of the hands as we walked away from each other that did it for me at least.

I don’t expect her to have gotten anything out of it. But I know she knows how I feel about her. I don’t even have to tell her that. For me, it took me to think about that when I was in the car with my brother when I thought about that moment just feeling unusual.

If she was single I’d be happy if something could spark between us. But I also don’t believe It could happen anytime soon as afar as Natural attractions go. Because honestly although she’s a very attractive woman. I really couldn’t see myself with her on that level.
She’s a Great Friend. And my “Hunnie”. ..lol But wow man. There’s just something about her that I like. Maybe it’s because of what she does. Maybe it’s because of our friendship that does it. But I Know that we have something. I guess I’d say that The Connection we have and what I felt was just a spur of emotion created by mutual respect for each other.

She is the reason I came here so that’s probably why I felt that way. Sometimes I read her status messages on gtalk and sometimes I wonder what she means. Other times they’re song lyrics. Other times its just her being multifaceted. Like we spoke on the phone a few times and she spoke of her in the light or in darkness and the separation of the Two. As Darkness is her true self & real feeling. While In the Light she’s basically a shell of who she really is behind closed doors. As if she’s hiding or putting or have to be this other person In the Light to appear as a happy-go-lucky kind of Girl. When its really not like that In Home With that said. I don’t want to throw God in her face. But what she needs to understand from that is. What is In the dark shall eventually come into light. Or at least her who she is In her real life needs to come in to the Light and let It show. Although her true self seeps through. It only provides a temporary comfort. Hopefully she will be able to put aside some of the things she’s been holding on to for so long and realize that letting go of some of it can be a true blessing unto her.

With that said. Lol yeah I just went off the Deep end.

LOL At the end of the day.. She Knows and I know that There’s something there.. what.. IONO.. but I think it could happen..
