Status Madness

this is another post based on recent statuses I've had via facebook.  whats crazy is that usually want to voice my opinion to get live responses i do it there.. so with that said. I'll go a head and refew a few statuses i've recently made and write about what ever it is here.


Remember the Curfew Radio show on Q93 called "The 9 O'Clock Props?
It came to mind a few minutes ago. It reminded me of the time when Mayor Morial set the Curfew, Nobody Obeyed it and Many were arrested and sent to truancy.  But After  Q93 began the 9 O'Clock Props radio show. It gave folks a reason to Be in their homes in time to listen to there fellow peers rap. and represent their wards or projects. it was fairly decent.

I Recently saw the profile of Beyonce Knoles <== Yes not Beyonce Knowles.. Although it was her picture, it was missing a W. my thought. it was probably a Male who created the profile.

Which reminds me that I found a picture of The old PITT Theatre which was located Near by my house and just like The Old Seafood City at 1826 North Broad. It was replaced by a Wal-Greens.

Oh man, I Banned an IMPOSTOR
yeah, After SU's Associate Director of bands wrote a thread regarding the schools Band Camp for High School students. a guy named Drizzle took the mans pic, posted it in his profile and then asked a dumb question like "Whats your hazing policy?: .. now although the question isn't totally dumb. its the demeanor of  which included the persons activity on the site which I caught on to quickly and i banned him.

Mail To Who... Me?

Hold Up Mayn!... Something's fishy about this mail I've received. maybe this was some kind of internet thing gone wrong.or a name mix up.. yet I also think it was sent intentionally. the crazy thing is  Why Would it have the name of a person I Know of on it?

I check the Mail today (or at least 2 hours ago and there was a  health & Wellness magazine for women. It fell to the ground,..so I picked it up and looked at the name. It was the name of some girl i know who lives in Texas..She's not from here and doesn't know my home address... or does she? lol... But my question is. how would her name be on something mailed here?  and could this possibly have been the first time this came to my house? maybe not.

With that said. was this done intentionally? because if that's the case, it sure was wrong..  I'll probably ask her about it via facebook.honestly it feels crazy to see that name on some mail addressed to my home. and as i said in the beginning.

but WHY!!!?? lol

Successful Round!

After the hours of Scanning and well an hour or so if deleting other ness.  I have successfully gotten rid of the Virus. How. Well I turned on Avast's Boot Scanner and it deleted exactly what I had written in the last post. Now it's good to go. I was looking for a log file before i deleted the program, didnt find any. What im doing now is enhancing his browser so that it blocks certain things, while also making it more useful for him.

The Crazy part is that when he gave it to me, it was in Horrible condition. The Screen went from the Boot Menu "windows wasn't loaded properly"./.. then  ".. Did Not Recover Properly" .. after a restore I was able to Scan.. Scan Scan... they all worked... but this time Avast was the savior... thats mainly because it starts at th Boot up as i stated in an earlier entry.

I'm glad that's over with.

Boot-up Scanning

So I went throwback and i downloaded Avast. I've rarely used this program on my own pc's since Microsoft Security Essentials came about. But due to its ability to do a scan at boot up. I've decided to install it temporarily. 

So far it's detected the file (as MSE also did).. Likewise it asked if i wanted to Delete / Repair or Quarantine ithe particular file.. After attempting to Repair..  I got a Repair error..therefore I deleted the file.. so hopefully when it loads up this time it'll be gone for good.. I will Report !! lol..

At this point its showing me another corrupted file in which my brother downloaded   The File

CrossFire_Setup_v1028.exe   . it says  RF017.REZ Error 42145 ...The Installer Archive is Corrupted..

Here's another  (I realize this is just a bunch of unnecessary junk he's downloaded) 

PopularScreensaversetup2.3.50.56.ZRman000.exe.   <-- SMH  at that file... Here's the rest .. mwsSetup.Commomcodebase.exe  Embedded_R#MWSBAR.DLL is Infected bu Win32"PUP-Gen [PUP]

it's nw deleted Along with the same another file within that corrupted executable of the same virus...

At this Point.. I realize that this is from him downloading all that Junkware like password generators and Code helpers for his game system. smh.. gotta be more careful...I guess i'll delete some stuff off of it when its done scanning

 aside from that he had all the obvious mal-ware detected prior to this particular scan i'm doing now..  This has to be the worst i've dealt with on a Vista PC.. 

I think my nephew and nieces had something to do with him getting all that though... I'll be back. This scan is at 94%...  I'll have The Results later ..lol

The Virus has taken over his system

looks like my brother’s pc is infected with the VirTool:Win32/VBInject.DD.. and its not going away.
After doing a few scans earlier for disk checks and also in safe mode.  I realized that it had to be a virus because the desktop never showed up. apparently the virus gained control of both the explorer and system32 executables
and it attempted to install a rogue version of visual basic… or something like that..

it constantly returns after successful removals it’s returned about 16 times as of 9:41pm today. he also had a minor malware case but that’s gone now...

Maybe because its Active…  I’ll see if i can do the same in safe mode as well that should stop it totally.
seems like one of the strongest i’ve ever come across too..

I’m also scanning with Malwarebytes to see if it detects anything.. there seems to be a load of unnecessary software on here. REMOVE DELETE LOL.. yeah buddy.. talk about STUFF! ..lol

Sometimes I wonder why they come at me like that

Like Seriously…. This dude tried to come at me Sideways with some junk that he wasn’t there doing and questioning my being? come on now man.  you’ve never met me but you’ve heard it all.. Somebody told this cat that i followed the band throughout the whole parade.. That also means that that particular observer was there looking on and said no word to me about anything..

These folks see me, I aint a bad dude. why don’t they come talk to me before judging my being? seriously.. I see I have Haters near and far. Yet they know nothing about me other than that I tape this band stuff.  
Then You’re gonna try to tell me how i should do it? while comparing me to somebody who I know has been taping these bands since forever.. .. for me this is a big learning process. I can do that on my own.. I’m just trying to provide clips for the masses. so they all can be discussed.
.. LIFE!

Onlookers Look, They try to find fault. but they can’t do what I’m doing. Therefore I have the Privilege of Being who I am.

This Dude Seriously called me Out

and then made a whole thread concerning me.. I deleted it.. before that I saw his replies on another post. I’ll post some of what he said About me and what im doing. the dude just called me out as if i did him something wrong.. so I banned him..

His first post is like “this is how bands are supposed to be taped”.. so i replied and this is what he said next…

My second point. A reliable source told me that you followed SU and recorded them the whole parade in which they played "Who Dat" several times. Why did you use the worse recording at the end of the parade? LOL

(he reply’s with “yada yada” the first few times..)

So I Replied you act like you have a paid subscription to this site to be telling me how to do what i’m doing..

I Laughed at most of this, mainly because he called out my hair, in which i’ve never perm’ed it. apparently he doesn’t know me because if he did he’d know that..lol.. On this particular website. Personal attacks against The Staff are not tolerated, this dude called ME out. making a whole  thread.. that’s why it was deleted and therefore he was banned. No Need to explain myself to him..

Nothing Too Specific

Something That I’ve realized a while back and its not so shocking of a revelation. but….

Yeah Man.. I see that the lexicon in New Orleans has changed alot. Many words that were once widely used are no longer part of the every day vocabulary.  In a way its a good thing… the only bad part is that we’re replacing many of the words that were common amongst the young. with newer or at least more mainstream terms.  either that or things that have migrated from nearby regions..

It’s not just the way we talk, its the way we go about doing things. the way we feel toward each other. I don’t know man. its just One of them things…

I wrote a status on Facebook that made me think of the situation.

One was about the fact that at one time when going to see a movie. we’d say “I’m going to The Show”… “The Show” Being the place where the movie is Airing.  Yet. the show could be More than a Movie, It could be a theatrical performance or things of that nature..   Now days they just go to “The Movies” .. the thing i find wrong with that is .. You’re not going to the movies .. you’re going to see a movie at the place that the movie is being shown… Therefore SHOW fits Perfectly ..lol

But prior to the fame. he’d say it this way “…Smell What The Rock is Cookin’” .. Depending on how you hear it.  it could be a question or something he’s telling you to do…. Generally Speaking.. That’s just a catch phrase ..LOL

Right Time To Test the Cam

For Me, Testing My Video & Camera work in Odd conditions gives me a more real world approach to what I am going to be facing, Allowing me to get better shots in Great conditions  whether its a situation where its Extremely dark. or high lighting.. Foggy and so on..

Another thing would be Capturing Sound,  With the Rupture of Thunder actually being at a far distance from the earth sure gives me the idea that the Mic is picking up some strong sound waves. LOL! .. Basically. I really don’t need to explain that one.

But for me. being that I’ve only had this new cam for a week.  I’ve already put it thru enough pressure to knock out what my speaker’s catching.. LOL.. I’m good though… All i need is a good camera bag and a external Mic. I may have to look for something big enough to hold all my equipment plus extra-ness that i may need.

What Most Parade Goers Don’t See

The Bands are still playing all the way through to the end of the route. why? because its Protocol in New Orleans. you don’t stop performing until you hit the Busses. (or until the director cues you to cut off) ..

But as you can see here. The bands still perform even when the parade is totally over. its not that they have to. but because they want to. and besides. the end of  the parade is just about the best part. because you never know what to expect. when one band ends up behind another. 

What you just saw is Inside footage of Walker and McDonogh 35 High School bands March out of the Morial Convention Center.   as i said in the beginning. its not what most bandhead outside of N.O. Get to see. Therefore I Have posted it for all to see.

So Know that I know what's up

It’s basically a big Misunderstanding. The dude was angry because of a personal dispute between them both. Not getting into too much detail but  It resulted in him getting upset that he started throwing things around her house an then he taking her phone.  which resulted in him calling me as well as longtime friend of hers… he told her he called us when she gave the phone back to her.  
After writing “smh.. this dude is insecure”  in my status on Facebook, She Clicked the Like Button, so I  asked her to hit me up.. Therefore telling me about the situation. 
At the end of the day, there’s no reason real for him to had called me, only to attempt at trying to find something wrong.. instead he’s what’s wrong.. 
I told her that She’s gonna have to leave him alone someday… other than that I had little to say about it. I thought something was wrong.. but I thought of a more serious situation. this one just a domestic dispute over words he couldn’t handle… That’s her baby’s daddy and it’s a consequence that came with the person she chose to be with.
That’s all I have to say about that.

Good Times | Walked the Green Mile

Wow man, I hadn’t blogged in a minute to I’ll do this now.
I went to Bacchus tonight.. got there a tad bit late. but it I was there Long Enough to get some good footage in.  at least of ONE school. and that was Greenville Weston, they were real nice.  I made in out there with Bruce. but I got left, so I walked the full route, and  boy my legs are killing me.

Not only because of Today's walk though. It’s because I walked NOMTOC with SU. My Back is achin’ too.. lol I took a Nice Nap yesterday though. even though I watch my neph the whole time.

With that said..lol Tonight was a trip. Mass amounts of people, I know N.O’s got a Huge Boom out of these crowds. My Sister and Brother n Law came to pick me up on Canal and Claiborne. Just imagine, I walked from Tchoupitoulas and St. Charles avenue along the route to Carondelet. I Couldn’t get around to side near the river so I Left…  and yeah once again. My Legs are Killing me.

I’ll be at Orpheus tomorrow. Just not with anyone that plans on leaving lol ..lol

The walking is good for health reasons but maan.. LOL after all that walking Without eating. Yesterday I had Burger King… TWICE (shame) and today I came home to make rice-a-roni!.

 

I’m Tired.. But This wont be my last one for tonight.

No Parading for me today

I’m having minor troubles converting videos for DVD purposes. That sux, but I’ll figure it out.

I see that there’s Snow Everywhere on the East Side…  There’s also snow here in Louisiana ..LOL or at least  Sleet lol.

I don’t even know what to say about it! I tried to walk to a good spot, there weren’t any! ..lol i’m at an attempt to create a  Saints Parade Mardi Gras DVD, Unfortunately the program doesnt accept the kinds of files I loaded. so what Im going to do is .. Crate that sucka with Windows Live Movie Maker.

.. Ahh Man I gotta see what parades are tomorrow..

We’ve got Too Much to Celebrate! People are still out partying! I know i have a long day ahead. Hopefully I’ll have things done 22 hours from now. I’m GREAT though! .. oh yeah man! Oh yeah!! so Amazing! ..lol

I did Alla parade with Behrman Middle again, It was Still Too Much of a walk,  I see West Jeff has new suits, looking good, there’s also a new staff there. thats’s a good thing though.

I Tried to take some Battle Video but unfortunately things didn’t happen as i expected. but hey.I’m good with it.  I’ll upload a few videos today. but the rest may have to wait till after the season is over.

I will load the photos to the PC now though.

Mitch Landrieu Won!! YES! .. I was out at the Parades and when I came home, Landrieu was in the Lead…  I saw The Acceptance Speech given by Mrs Clarkston. Stacy Head got her spot back… We got Arnie in the there… Good stuff!… I didn’t vote.. I sure should have, Buy I think the folks in my district in which i have supported all got their spots.. I’ll check up pm that

Troy Henry’s a classy guy to do what he’s doing. I haven’t heard anything out of Georges, I honestly thought that Georges would be The Top Dog. I think he fell short at attacking Landrieu. Georges did more Adverting for Mitch than Mitch did himself.

A New Day  In New Orleans… but hey, After the Saints WIN.. I Expect MADNESS! just for a good week… and then we’ll Take on the Landrieu Leadership from then on..lol

I Got It!

Boy was Glad to know that the camera only came out to be about $750. I walked out of Best Buy Happy as a Hippo!  I Was going to attempt at bargaining instead I was fortunate to get it at the price set. which was cheaper than the online add.

Tomorrow is a Big parade so I’ll be attempting to ride with Behrman again. I may ride home with John Mac if they’re Marching. I will Test My Abilities. now all i need is a good bag to hold my equipment. yes, the equipment i’ll soon be purchasing! LOL .

Time to get to Job Hunting now man. You should have seen how I was in that store just laughing at the the fact that I used plane cash.. and at the way I laughed at the fact that the girl counted it all. I got about 15 dollars back..lol

Aside from that. I’ll have to Open up a New bank account. yeah man I gotta get Paid off of this one. this camera is currently Top of the line for a store bought / cheaper cam.  its worth a full paycheck.

Thats Greg Fassitt’s Saints Jersey, Marched with’em in High School Band.  Now He’s off to a Hopeful Win at Super Bowl 44.

The Book is at an attempt to Get a New Video Cam.

Tomorrow I’ll be hitting the Haystacks! well nah! Actually I’ll be headed to Best Buy to find an HD Camcorder in preparation for Next Tuesday's Saints Parade. The Bands Said to be performing are Texas College, LLI Marching Band, Southern University, as well as a crap load of local High Schools.

I should have my somewhat of a Media ID Card created as well. Just for proof that I’m covering the events with a purpose. 

My Thing is, I’m Looking for a Camera no more than 600 dollars. the thing that sucks about that is performance levels. I want an HD cam with 1080p, and at least a 3CCD. My thing is, they don’t come like that often. I need something that’s going to be good enough to record both video and heavy audio. which that’s something rare in cameras today. I WANTED a HUGE cam, but I find that its not necessary to have a Huge one when I could just get something simple and use it to the best of my ability.

I’m looking at some now..  I Don’t want the Samsung Brand, I have that and its.. well.. yeh.. its old. that's all… I’m looking for something in Good Quality for Cheap...lol Shame huh? lol I have to get to one before tomorrow so that I’d know exactly where to find it. that’s about all.

The Reason The Networks Ignore HBCU Bands, My Opinion.

My Response

The NFL never shows halftime performances until Super Bowl. Although games like the Pro Bowl, and the NFL Conference Championships have halftime performances done by bands more now than ever. There's really no need to show halftime performances on TV The Sports Networks could care less about showing the bands. whether HBCU or not.

The Super Bowl is the biggest game in the NFL, even when there are no bands, the halftime will Be shown.

If you look at the origin of the Super Bowl, it was Grambling State and Florida A&M who took part in the first few Halftimes. They were asked to do halftime to entertain a Thousands of White People.

The Themes for the Original Super Bowl was called "A Tribute to Slavery" That's PURE RACISIM. But due to the bands performing so greatly, the NFL eventually apologized to the schools, and has sense then requested HBCU Marching bands to take part in NFL Events out of respect for the art.

With that said, whether Televised or not, The HBCU Bands are the Originators of the Super Bowl Half Time. Therefore We Are Legend (lol)

As for the HBCU Games

I can't really speak on any other Televised HBCU classics, because I grew up watching Bayou Classic on TV. The full shows are never seen on TV. They only show Just enough of the halftime to satisfy band fans across the Nation.

At that point my only concern is that The TV Networks Overlook HBCU Conference Championship games. as compared to Big 10, SEC or Sun Belt.

I'd also go far as to saying this...
On New Years Day is the Rows Bowl, PWC Football at is best. In Recent times, HBCU bands have taken part on the Tournament of Roses Parade. The parade is Looked at as a HUGE Accomplishment. for bands, the Initial truth is that it's waste of money. The Parade is not even as long as a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans. At This Point the HBCU bands are not looked upon as Equals, but mere Secondary Schools as compared to Their PWC Counterparts 

To sum this all up...
The General Outlook is that, White America wants HBCU Bands Services, But they don't want them to be the Forefront of any Non-HBCU Events because they're afraid our bands will Steal the spotlight!

Golden Time

In Light of the Saints Journey to the Super Bowl, I’ve once again changed up my blogs Look. This time, a somewhat Major Change in regard to the Title font. Since the I began this blog, my title font has been the “Collegiate-Normal” style, I’ve finally changed it to “Vipnagorgialla” and it looks pretty good.

Not only did the fon’t change. but All the Red on the blog is gone. Strictly Black and Old gold in honor of the Saints going All the Way so to speak.

Back to the Font… the Vipnagorgialla has been kind of a Signature font style for me.  i use it  for my water marks and things like that. so while also playing around with it,  I’ve decided to finally post it and use it officially as my title font. Maybe not for a long time, but it looks good up there.
