Okay, I’m Tired

Today, I' found myself playing The Michael Jackson Experience since about 3:00 today. and I played a number of Songs and unlocked more dance tutorials.  I believe my highest Score so far was on Thriller, over 6000 points on the first try …but i think that was an easy one.. The game is crazy, yet SO FUN!.. It makes you want to dance more and more, song after song, especially when you get it wrong..lol..

This girl hit me up Via Facebook saying she’s getting 7’s and 8’s.. I wish i had a partner to do some of these dances with… Keep It In The Closet was a good one.. LOL!

I’m about to watch TNA and Fall Asleep! lol

Looks Like the WWE’s gone back to acknowledged WCW’s History via the web. All they really did was revamp the WWE site adding WCW to the featured sections.

I’m glad they did it even though now days you can find tons of nearly accurate Inside info on Wikipedia. sad but true.

I Called her to tell her what I had changed because she asked for a white outline and a new standing silhouette. I couldn’t find a standing one, nor could i do a double outline of the star. so i changed up the shadow effect, rather than red & Black, i used blue & Black Here it is..

I May have to throw the Red in there too.. or another blue that stands out similar to the red on the previous one as seen Below

although it doesn’t have the white outline u can clearly see the red, i may have to make that blue for this one.

Sleepy Time | Continuation of Randomness

Aight, I’ve been sleepin’ at odd times & Waking up when I’m supposed to really be sleeping…

Today, well Yesterday..I didn’t go to sleep and I’m still up now…. But I’m not finished Cleaning this room.. Yeah, Partly due to stuff on the PC, but I’ll be off in a minute.

Because of all of that though,  I’ve been Missing Wrestling… Sux..

I washed a whole lot of clothes  yesterday.. Now i have to Rewash some things because of an overload..

I’m about to start Throwing Clothes away. I just Threw away 2 pairs of Dickies pants away. They were Old.. I need to throw my black ones away too. the pocket is torn… that has happened to many pairs of slacks I've worn. I do know How, but I hate that it happens.

The One That Got’em

Last weekend, I was on here Laughing at my boy Shawn's pictures in a ribbing session.  My boy Ben took a picture of Mr. Pregnant and posted it up on Shawn’s page. Facebook should start Banning folks IP’s

There’s a Girl named Angelle I know from high school creating multiple profiles on facebook and are not using them. I don’t know if she’s doing it to get her friends list up or whatever but it’s just dumb.  Why do you keep creating these random accounts?

The crazy part is, She adds the people, Tags herself in a whole bunch of pictures.  adds likes and other content like school &  work background. but all of this stuff is phony.  aside from that, the email addresses are created during the same day she creates the pages. I found this out with Yahoo Pulse.

I Know That I can Unfriend, Report or Block these accounts, but it doesn’t pay if she keeps adding me and other people. every week  just running up our friend count when I need all real friend space i can get.

But Facebook Needs to have to have a optional Write in form so that I can write out  the whole situation too them. because i don’t get it.  Folks have even asked me who one of the people were. I told them to block it because it’s phony. Look at it as being equal to spam.

As you can see.. Similar info… Basic Profiles.. There are more, I cant find them. but I’ve been deleting  unfriending counterfeit pages. on target. This is way out of hand and makes no sense.

I Think Wii’s online firmware needs an update

I’m here watching YouTube XL Via Nintendo Wii and I’ve noticed that the interface has been the same since forever. I’m guessing it’s because Wii uses Opera browser, but I’m not sure.  When You access youtube via Wii, The page loads and looks like these images below

Aside from that, when you’re playing the video. the quality is at it’s poorest and  when you expand it to full screen it becomes sluggish. That needs to be updated.  Maybe I have to try typing the full location in to see if it displays as it does on other systems or via web… like This

It’s like that on the PS3 and Web from what I've seen so far. why cant Wii just update their stuff? lol.  .. Both wii’s Firmware and Software needs a nice enhancement because the browsing experience is weak.

oh and aside from that.. My nephew wanted to play Zelda so bad til i mistakenly deleted the game file that i had completed. Now I have to start over. .. Sux 4 me..

Mental Evaluation…Really?

,,,, Just saw the news in relation to the Guy who shot Gabby Giffords & Killed those others in Tucson, Arizona. They want him to undergo a Mental Evaluation to see if he could withstand a Trial. I mean yeah he deserves a Trial but we already know he’s guilty. all he needs is a simple hearing and sentencing. otherwise everything else is a big waste of money.

The Media has painted this guy as a Madman since that happened.  Even if they did find that he has mental issues it’s no way to downplay what he did or give him a lesser sentence. Anybody else would have been put to life in prison or death with no question of their mental condition.  

I personally think the man needs to be jailed for life. because IMO it’s just as equal to Death. and I don’t really agree with the death penalty.

It’s wild to me, because here in New Orleans there was a man who confessed to five murders,  He got the death penalty with no mental evaluation and despite that They used Mental Retardation as a last minute defense, the jury made the decision with no evaluation and  he got sentenced to Death.

Sometimes Criminal activity is premeditated or provoked but it’s not a mental condition.

just Logged on to Nola.com to check some news, then I searched the term “Projects" specifically to find what folks were saying about Public Housing as it relates to Crime. in the city.  That's when I ran across this comment by a User called “Hark”… looks like they banned The User. I remember Hark having a lot to say about Public housing and crime. His/Her comments would always be negative.  Such as the one I recently Read…   Folks like that always blame Public Housing for all of the cities problems.. I guess Nola.com members no longer could tolerate his postings because the account no longer exists.

Man, I have family members who I had no clue were pregnant til Last month. 2 of my cousins just popped out baby boys. yesterday and today I think that’s great. I have another cousin who’s girlfriend is pregnant, and his sister is also pregnant, as well as a cousin still in high school who is pregnant now.  others have had their kids for over a year or two now. These are my younger cousins.   They’re grown and things, but they’re younger than I am…  I just hope they all take care of their kids and not depend on everybody else to take care of their kids….

It’s Amazing… and it also gives me more of a reason Not to have any kids ..LOL

I’ve been keeping in touch with Ricky about this battle of the bands coming up this summer. The dude has everything on lock. The Down side of it is all the Mess surrounding each band. I talked to ricky about the fact that Bragging is cool because it hypes up the battle. But. The way it was done and the response was unnecessary….

Folks Starting to take it Seriously Talking about pulling out of the event. It makes no sense at all.  All you have to do is show up and make it happen. No Reason to politicize every decision because Ricky has everything set up. 
When He said what he said About Blowing out our band, it was cool. but the Head Cats in Charge of ours took it in the wrong way… It was all settled until Ricky  revealed that he had Mr. Kighten on staff.   I knew this already and was telling people. but nobody believed me.. so Now that he’s announced Knighten to the public.  This dude "Black had a lot to say about it. in a negative way.  Yet Black doesn’t have the resume that kinghten has and is no where near.. You work with a band and you think you’re the man. but Until you have to teach some kids, you haven't paid your dues.   
Aside from that, They’re basically Trading words online Calling out the other band, which is cool .. but it shouldn’t get to the point where folks are getting cussed out.. that’s the problem because we have cats that would do that.  Sometimes they get beyond professionalism at the wrong times..  I just hope this thing goes on with no problem.
It’s not summer and we haven't even started yet.. but The hype is there so I know this will be a great event.

C’mon Man! Not The Eggs..

Man.. There were about 8 Eggs left in the bowl after I put up the Yakamien this morning. I got up a few hours ago and The boiled Eggs are all gone.. My brother ate them all.  Yet he didn’t eat any Yakamien. I don’t get that at all.  you can’t have yakamien without the eggs!

Now I’m sitting up here waiting for the eggs to finish boiling This is crazy! There was 1 egg left.. I went in the kitchen just now and it’s gone .. Why? Because this fool got up and ate it.. Yet there’s a whole bowl of spaghetti and yakamien juice along with soy sauce gone Untouched.. why? because this fool doesn’t know how to eat anything! ..

… Oh and it’s his birthday.. makes me feel old

Round Up of a Week of Discussions.

Or shall I say More than a week. but generally This past week.

There Have been a lot of things going on in the world since mid February that are still I the news now. Libya, & Japan are the big subjects.. Because of this I’ve had talks with Kandace & Qui about nearly everything dealing with these events. mainly The Japan situation. and the Radiation threat, The Shifting and tilting of the earth. Somehow this conversation  Turned to End of The World / Illuminati / New World Order discussions. 

For Me, It’s hard for me to get deep in to the discussion with Kandace about these situations  because she won’t believe it without proof.  But after she watched videos of the speculated Agendas of the Illuminati as it relates to the NWO. She’s beginning to talk about it more.

The Other day, Quisha asked me to explain the All Seeing Eye to Kandace, I did. but she asked what does it have to do with the New World Order… I told her that it says “New World Order” on the back of a dollar ..LOL   ..They wanted me to explain this because of the Tweets by an account calling themselves The Illuminati.

I had to tell her that who ever that was is only a conspiracy junkie trying to mess with folks. because the Illuminati is not a single group. its a mass majority of groups  who are using their power to distract everyone while the NWO comes in to play…

All of this sparked because of her questioning if all of the Japanese will have to come to America if things go wrong. IMO Yes, But they wont stay for long.  Her opinion was NWO based because she kind of see’s that these people may be overseen by our authorities.  

Because of this I explained some of the Katrina situation, Not to the point of Martial Law in N.O. but to how we were evacuated in to our own camp sites just about and  overseen by state police.. otherwise we had our freedoms.  But in N.O. folks were going haywire so they  had the  National Guard stay here for nearly 4 full years as their way of Protecting the people .. from ourselves.. .. yeah that’s not normal..

I’m no Expert on anything, but I’m aware that there are things that are being fed to us via TV News, that are not whole Truths, yet there is also alot of false information being put out on the web too. you cant believe it all .. the propaganda confuses those who don’t understand the true message.  Some may be Direct, the others are subliminal. It’s there and being fed to the people. but you have to be smart about what you’re reading to believe. because what you’re looking for you just might find

As for The End of the World…

When Talking about The Quake, Tsunami and Radiation. issues. it had us all wondering how could America prepare for this. I even explained that the wind current can pull that radiation filled air into our area because of the current of the wind. but it wont be enough to kill anybody. the problem is if this stuff gets inside the clouds and suddenly it rains  that could have a lasting effect..

With Quisha, she talked of the Madrid Fault lines & American Fault lines, and how a Quake would affect us, There were reports of Seismic Activity at Yellowstone, we discussed the effects of that.. The minimal effects of a Tsunami hitting Cali. and Natural Disasters in General… Good thing we didnt get too deep in to HAARP. because i mean hey, Weather and Natural Disaster aren't the same thing.

The big thing was “We ‘Bout To Die” … That's how she  put it.. It’s funny but it hey It’s part of life..lol  We were talking about the Super Moon and all of that as well.   I may have to blog more about these subject later I’m about to Rap this one up.

Testing a Torrent Program

Earlier this year, after making some Band DVD’s  Someone wanted me to send him a DVD, I told him I’d send him the ISO file when im complete. Unfortunately I couldn’t do that due to sites being unable to host large files like that with out a wait.  At that time the guy asked if I dealt with Torrents.  I told him no because I wasn’t familiar with them.

well, Now that I’m in the process of learning, I guess I will attempt to send him the file through the torrent site.  I’m still not quite sure how the information is published but I do see how it’s searched. I’m guessing he’ll be downloading from a server with the file held on it rather than my PC. I’ll have to check.

I downloaded uTorrent. If I can’t figure this out, I’ll just uninstall it.

Currently I’m defragging my PC.  I’ll write here later on today

Somebody’s Biting Hard!

Man,  So The Other day. I was on youtube checking out some clips. I’ve seen that youtube added Social media outputs .. “As Seen on” links.. so I started checking out my own footage.. I ran across a particular clip of the dolls that was recorded long before mine, yet Uploaded to youtube  by a certain media group weeks after I did.  

The big difference is that, My clip wasn’t a direct interview, his clip was… and it wasn’t even the whole thing. it was just enough for him to get web hits though.  I think it’s funny because this cat bites everything.. I mean hey. I get influenced by various concepts of videos. but I won’t wait 3 years to upload a clip to the public just because somebody else is getting hits on a fresh of the market video.

I know u want to make money because u do have the footage,..I love the way they do their videos because they’re very professional.   It’s just crazy that they would wait till my exclusive footage goes up to post their footage from 3 years ago.. I take that as a  way of him saying “I’ve been doing this”.. lol but it’s cool..  I still think he needs to stop biting..lol

Stigmata No More!

For the a long time now I was wondering how and why there were scars on my right calf. Sometimes I’d feel it and it’s bleeding, other times it would have already bled and healed. I’d Tweet about it Jokingly sating it was a stigmata because at first I couldn’t figure it out. Suddenly yesterday as I was moving this chair back I felt it pinch my leg. Today I managed to remove it fairly quickly. 

All This Time my leg has been sore has been due to a broken staple within the wood  just stabbing me in the leg, I could never feel it till now. That’s crazy.. Maybe I was feeling it but ignoring it. oh well. this time I got it. and it’s Out and Over! ..lol now my leg can heal in peace! LOL

Impact of The Quake & Tsunami

I’ve been watching the news and all the controversy about comments regarding the events so I’m just going to be brief and express my concern for the situation.

For a man who has experienced Katrina, which is no real comparison to a Tsunami. Yesterday morning I was reading someone's personal experience from the quake on a forum. at that point it reminded me of how I wrote about my  family’s survival of Katrina. I didn’t go back to the forum. but  hope the guy’s alive. The last time I checked it had only been about 4 aftershocks he’d updated about.  at this point The Tsunami has destroyed a lot so no telling if the guy’s dead or alive now.

After seeing the video updates and talking to friends we were just talking about how crazy the world is getting. how the plates in the earth are shifting and the wavelength and impact of the tsunami as it was set to have reached American soil.  my opinion based on fact was that the impact of a tsunami is like dipping your finger in water or blowing a bubble into a cup of water.  .. The ripple effect of the waves and the fact that the water has to make impact somewhere before it dies down totally.   It’s the nature of water.

I  have sympathy for the people of Japan, I told Kandace that In situations like this my first thought is always about the children. it’s always my first concern because they cant take care of themselves..  I hope and pray that they get all the help needed to get them back on their feet. Don’t forget about Haiti from last year as well as the other quake and Tsunami victims of the past. 

The World Need Relief!

The Nature of The Band Community of N.O.

For me, Although I love to hear the bands, I've always enjoyed it from a pageantry standpoint. it's why I take pictures & record the bands. Not to sell it, but to show people how our Marching Units  function here.

The downside is catching them looking or sounding bad. Posting bad clips online usually upsets members, alumni & directors. My only defense is that The Camera only records what it see's and hears.  I don't like putting bad footage online, but sometimes these band members need to see the publics opinions. no mater how bias or blunt the comments may be. That kind of Critiquing can always be used as constant reminders that you don’t want to disappoint the fans

I always tell folks this. No Matter how great your band is. History gets thrown out the window in the heat of battle. You can't use your bands past accolades to cover up a recent bad performance. Plain and simple If you're not good today your band will get Booed.

There will always be someone Observing & waiting for your band to mess up.  There are also those who will talk greatly about the bands. Yet The bands with the biggest impact of the night Can easily become the talk of the town for years.

Determining the best band is always tricky because it depends on how the band community accepts the band they're viewing and hearing. Also, The competitive nature of our own bands as rival is always good. but first Our bands must outdo Themselves as individual bands before they can be taken seriously to amongst Masses.

With that said..  It is very embarrassing when bands come from other cities & states outdo our own during the parade season.  Uniformity, Discipline as well as sound Quality and projection are Common Factors constantly being looked at by Knowledgeable Observers. Yet there is a misguided league of band fans who only want to hear a loud volume and could care less about quality sound.

The sad part is, Our bands are accustomed to the conditions of parade season. You would think each band would at least try to be on point at all times.  especially now days because they Know that the band world is watching and hoping our bands fail.

Oddly enough, Folks in other states assume that we do marching band year around, as if our bands don't have Concert or Jazz ensembles. (Many of them don't of course) but it's hard to defend it when those ensembles are not Visible... 

This is why I was proud that during Spring 2010. McDonogh #35 received all 1's in Texas Southern University's Concert band festival. I'm Proud because They represented New Orleans by doing better than bands from all over East Texas and Louisiana. To Me. It's like proving the critics wrong.

I personally think It would be great if our local college music programs would get involved. like hosting events such as concert & marching clinics.  Not for Showcasing nor competition. but simply for educational purposes like seeing beyond the stereotypical aspects of corps & show style bands.

example: Take two great bands like  St. Amant & St Augustine HS bands. Give them the music to "Hands Across The Sea March"  it is Expected that both bands sound EXACTLY THE SAME playing that tune. if not. we know that something is wrong from an educational standpoint and could be fixed if addressed properly.

The Concepts of Corps & Show Style bands may be different but the Scientific Method all is the same. It’s all about Teaching, Learning an Executing Standards in Musicianship, Showmanship & Precision.

I appreciate it all. being in band made me who I am today. It’s why I am an advocate of what it is that our bands do. I want to make’em all understand!

Footage Ideas Running Through my Head

Although Many of these things I’ve already done. I think the trial period begins  now that I have an Idea of what I’m going to be doing with them. One of these Ideas occurred when my boy Joe asked if I could record the TBC brass band like how I used to do back in the St. Bernard, but this time in more of a Jam session style setting…. BING! The Light Came on,

This made me think of the Video I’ve captured of marching bands in the recent past. as well as the people at Marching band events.  The Texas Southern Vs Southern game came to mind first because I did that without even thinking about the concept. That game looks like a Reality based Documentary. and that’s what I want out of this.

So Yesterday while on facebook I got somewhat of an unexpected gift from a buddy from High School. I appreciate her artwork very much. This time she made ME and I LOVE IT! lol

For Coconuts, Is it that serious?

Two of my little cousins are in the hospital right now, somehow they ended up beneath a float while at Zulu parade. They’re should be okay, but it’s sad that it happened.  At these parades there are thousands of kids.  There was another kid who ended up under the float too.   Why? We’ll My Assumption would have to do with Coconuts.

At Zulu parade a common throw is the Zulu cocoanuts. folks collect them year after year.   They’re handed out by the hundreds through out the parade route. The sad part is that when one is thrown. people begin to Ambush that particular float and Rider. without regard to who is around them and would knock folks down to get their coconuts..  That has got to be the most unsafe thing ever. 

It’s always Grown men & women, 30 & 40 year old men who do this… And its like Nobody cares about anyone when a coconut is being handed out . They just Bum rush to the floats like nobody’s in front of them  . It’s likely that my cousins both ended up under the float after being knocked down by coconut hecklers.  Stupid, if you ask me..

Mardi Gras Day, I’m DONE

I’m not sure if I’m going Out today. but I had fun for the rest of the season. I’m currently watching ZULU on TV.  Not sure if I’m gonna head out later but the weather isn’t the greatest.   I have pictures and clips to upload.  hopefully I’ll be able to do that. I may wind up laying down an resting for the remainder of the day…  I’m good for the season! lol

Last night Orpheus was nice. I got to record the bands in multiple spots  had a smoothie, Fooled with Roy. I got footage from the quarters.  in a way. I wish I had multiple cameras to do some projects with. 2 years from now I’ll probably have some serious equipment. save up $3000 for a Canon Professional camera rather than a consumer camera.  that would be a beast. lol

Oh yeah! THE RAIN is the reason I’m not out thee! ..lol I almost forgot about that.  It's expected to rain later.  Last Night under the bridge was fun. could have been better., got to enjoy the night fooling around with band folks. my feet hurt! LOL..  it’s wild man. that’s all. like I said… I’m good for the season!

Bacchus & Endymion Were Great

I got out there kind of early, early enough to catch the beginning of Thoth on Canal. Oddly enough the parade wasn’t over by the time I made it to the bridge.. That’s where I saw a load of cats including Frat and just other HBCU bandsmen & Former HS bandsmen from My Ara

The SU Boys were making a lot of noise under the bridge. The PV people were out there drunk lol I was glad to get some of it on tape. Hopefully I can do that again. Folks were asking for Tapes, Pippy was grabbin’ my hair.. up until her shoe popped ..lol I grabbed hers and well yeah Wig! LOL.. I knew that already though. lol  I’m going out there tonight.  I may go to burger king before I head out though. I need something heavy before I hit the streets.  Food on route is expensive. I’m gonna wear the same pants I wore yesterday with another shirt. I lost my towel so I was sweating bullets.

Finally I found folks who appreciate the free footage I’ve been putting out. LOL. somebody stopped me on canal  while I was onmy way home sayin’ “Book bruh, Thank you for all that you’re doin’ with the footage” LOL it was more too it than that

Tonight I plan on catching the end of this one through the convention center. hopefully it’ll work that way for me tonight.  That’s what I’m in it for. LOL!

It’s 12:26. when I woke up I thought it was 2:28 but my phone was tripping.. aside from that it still said AM. so yeah I had to reset it.  I’m good though.

I’m going out there tonight!

I don’t know where I’m gonna be, but parades are rolling now. I guess I’ll hop on a bus and hope I make it close enough to somewhere.  A full week out of commission, that was a lot missed. I’m good though. Hopefully tonight will be great I have to hop in the tub. I’m gonna put on my Ocean shirt and  make my way out of here before 4. hopefully that’ll work/.I may have to catch the St Claude or the LC. parades won’t be heading that way. I must see first! Lol

Under the weather

Man.. Talk about Feeling bad, I feel Way better than the days before. I kinda wanted to get my hair cut today but the weather isn’t lookin’ to hot for me to catch the bus. so I think I’m gonna go through Mardi Gras with the fro. I’ll get my cut afterwards.

I’ve been paying attention to a few things in the news but I haven't been up to writing  anything about them. I’ll probably get to those things later today.  for some reason I’m hot n sweating..  yeah that was random but I’m done with this one..

Other Things Tend To Go Wrong

I just realized that the Ipod part on the stereo system is broken. The Ipod seemed as if it was pulled forward.. didn’t come on…. the Ipods working so I know it’s the slot on the stereo. Sux!.

I still have clips going I have to check on them b4 I go to sleep.  hopefully it’ll be a while before I hear about this one. shame.. if not, tomorrow. the sooner the better.. or maybe worse.. it doesn’t make a difference.

Syrup for the Cold

for the past 2 days of sickness, I’ve been taking Nyquil and Theraflu depending out the timeframe (night & day) That Theraflu kinda warms ya up. 2 nights ago I was sweating hard, weak, headache  couldn’t really sleep. took a little Nyquil and that helped.  yesterday My sister gave me some theraflu and that’s that has also helped subdue the feeling.

The Difference between the days is that 1st day my throat was sore, no coughing but I did feel weak with headaches,  Day 2 .. I was still kinda weak but the coughing came in.  I had to take slow deep breaths  through my mouth to prevent coughing heavily and the headache was fading away.  Today. I don’t have a headache nor am I feeling weak. but the cough has switched up to coughing up Coal ..(you know that green mucus)

ate some Campbell’s soup sometime yesterday. that helped..lol  I even had Mucinex yesterday.  today. I may need to take some today.

folks are asking me why am I not out at the parade. I told them all I’ll be out Friday. I need my healing time ya know .. I blame the Panthers ..lol
