So My Brother has 2 weeks of Summer school

Looks like one of his teachers failed everyone. Now it's gonna cost my folks $800 to send him to a school they have no clue where it is..

Now. With that said .. for the past year. I've been having problems with this dude coming here with his company, not doing what I say (such as chores), talking back to me and so On and So Fourth.... Now Just yesterday A letter came in the mail stating that he has to go to McMain this summer fro 8am til 2pm because he Failed P.E.... yes .. P.E. . and world Geography ..my parents are upset! .. he got fussed at after coming from the Show about not doing what he was supposed to... Earlier that day, I got a call from my Cousin.. I missed it, She called Later saying that Her Son Also failed the same Class.. .. She Called Back way after my mom got on my broher... she told me that The teacher also failed the Rest of The 9th grade class on purpose. I think thats Wrong!!

On the other hand.. My brother still failed P.E. and I seriously thing Thats RETARDED!... At the same time.. She Took away his Games for the summer which was a good thing. And told him he cant have Company.. Especially the kind that sleeps over.

I was laughin because IMO its "Payback" .. why? because he doesnt do Anything to make my day easier around here.. He also got my nephew in trouble too.

It's like they do things without thinking.. .. P.E. Though Bruh??? ya know mayn!!

Hurricane Season Starts Next Week

Am I Prepared, NO!!! .. All I need is a good Duffel bag and some CHANGE! ..lol wow man.. it's wild.. yeah I'm prepping for the season by Upping my Awareness. I don't wanna settle for a near Holocaust-like environment of Hurricane Times..

I don't agree with Boarding Buses or Trains to head to FEMA Camps. why? because after thinking about the kind of things we went through as it related to Security and General Life at that Astrodome... It was CRAZY! .. Although I was free To Roam.. sometimes you couldn't tell day from night and other than that The Medical Surveyers seemed crazy ..lol I talked to Qui about that one today ..lol .. although Help is always Needed. some things I just don't want to be forced to do.. Like recieve a Vaccination. Infact I don't think i took that "Shot" they were giving people ...lol

shew man..I dont believe in The whole Ambush and force you out of your home thing.. I'd rather leave and survive on my own. They're getting them Trains Ready to ship people off to Nowhere USA!.. I ain't doing it ..lol

Okay, Yeah. I think its wild, I talked to Qui Last night and Haven;t been to sleep sense. I guess I'll fall asleep soon and sleep all day .. We had a nice talk about a serious issue Involving a few serious matters ..that's all i'm gonna say to that. She's a great friend of mind and I appreciate her! Yep! "Ya Know!"

I ran across a website called Work Nola while looking for a T Shirt Designing and Embroidery place. I found a Designer, Not an embroider.. BUT! .. I found a few links which interested me. I also Decided to register for the site because I thought it would be of help.. Why.. because It was MORE DIRECT .. well yeah,, "Work Nola" .. Simple Site.. Easy to use. I'll sign up for AmeriCorps Again because of it! ..lol Yes They're LOOKING!

I Have a strong feeling that this will work for me this time around.

Other than that..I'm looking at the Myspace profile of an old friend of mine, Since her mother died she's seemed to let herself go. it's like Wow.. She doesn't look Bad, but she just doesn't look Good.. she seems like she's kinda Out There Now.. it's sort of a turn off. I prefer the Light to No Make up look. .. It's like Man' what happened...

I was on Facebook yesterday when i got the news. Prairie View A&M Legendary Band Director Died May 28th 09. I'm not sure of the exact cause of death, but he was recently in a bad car accident a few weeks ago. according to a friend of mine He died a day after having surgery.

Although I didn't Know Edwards. I Am a fan of the band with a sound he made famous. The PVAMU "Marching Storm". News of his death spread quickly amongst bandheads across the south. What a Shocking thing to know. In Tribute to him and PV's band. I Re-posted a 1995 clip of Prairie View playing the schools Alma Mater on the band sites and facebook.

At Bandhead.org there's a thread made in his honor where Members as well as Band directors from other colleges are sharing their thoughts on Prof Edwards passing.

In The Band World, We're mourning a Great Loss of a legend.

My Condolences to the PVAMU Family.

Although a Legend has died, His Legacy Will forever live on within the Marching Storm.

Should i Twitter?

Well, I've been thinking about getting one and linking it to my side bar. i don't know.. I prefer blogging. its just that too many people i know are on Twitter and are sending me CRAZY amounts of invites.

the only thing i hate is the character levels and the fact that its like an incomplete thought ... Oh!. I saw a PRIVATE TWITTERER.. the girl had "Follow me on Twitter" in her facebook.. I clicked on the page and it said "this user chose to make her tweets private .. Only followers can see her tweets .. .. Yet the page itselfs is accessible.. u can see her huge pic in the background as well as her followers .. thts kind of a dumb setting..

I hate the fact that many of twitters current users are the same people who knocked facebook for publishing status updates.. now .. basically twitter is the same as updating ur facebook status, just without all the features of FB..

Those same Users dont even know what Microbloging is.. .. I could have gotten a Twitter 3 years ago. but I saw NO POINT in Microbloging..

Besides .. If i wanted to Express my thoughts in Twitter .. all that would fit in the box is..LOL well NOT MUCH!..

Other than that

the Mic i have come to know and love is now broken..LOL i may have to buy another. a good one .. a headset ..lol and probably a USB head set. because I baught this headset for $1.00 so hey its nothing.

Oh lets see. Over the weekend I got word that my girl AI's Dance Clinic did pretty well. 15 folks showed out but it ws enough when u really think about it .. yep!

Raw was Okay today. I'm not in to the whole basketball thing. i'm not really a sports fan. I actually was on Facebook all day messing with them females.. oh yes and i could name one who's cute. but she slim..LOL which aint NOTHIN but u know ..lol. But we were having a whole convo as it related to Pillsbury and Bounce Music ..LOL that was funny.

Other than that i talked to Qui for some time.. Earlier at like 10/11 I taled about some issues with my frat with John and Roy. .. man john told me some stuff that i sorta already Knew .. but yeah! .. I realized some stuff. that mattered but hey its all for the welbeing of our org.

I also discussed some issues with a buddy of mine. she ended up cussing someone out in the midst of it ..LOL but hey. sometimes it "Be'z" like that ..LOL! yeah yeah ..

Truth is, Now that i see what terms people have searched my blog for, it makes me want to make certain pages private. LOL. but oh well man. once written The thoughts are final. i have no problem with that. I write about alot of things. Family Issues, My Life and Times, People I've met over these years. and so on. but recently I think My traffic has been driven due to people Searching for people by full name. at that point is where I draw the line now.

Just as people use Twitter now, I have been using my Blog to express myself whether it be a Long Entry or small talk. I just feel that If i need to let things out. It needs to be let out in some form. To break away from talking about my situations with others. I write them down. Yes its published online. but oh well. I love what I do and I love myself. If you find something you don't like. it's probably because I felt that way at the moment.

For enstance I have said things about people and their Lifestyles in this blog. to the point where you could search my Username and you could find things on me that will make u question who I am. Yet their is no question to who I am. because at the end of the day, I am Who I am.

Lots of things have changed about me over the years. as i read this blog myself I see that transition in the way i've posted and generally the way I am as a whole as far as becoming the Man I am now. My thing is, I try not to say negitive things about people, especially the ones I love. because I wouldnt want to see myself on the recieving end of a situation where I search my name and someone is dogging me out ya know.

I think it's wild. Blogging is what i love to do. It helps me release some things. I apprecate my readers. I just think they should SAY SOMETHING from time to time, ya know. LOL

Okay, I saw that Issiah Carey had one of the most recent Follow up articles about the SU Hazing case posted on his blog

So being a bandsmen familiar with these brothers, I decided to comment on it. Why? because in a way I feel that it all needs to be over with and those boys should remain free.

Although I'm Not an SU student. I Know All These Guy's Due to Common Marching band Connections both Online and Offline. and These guys are not bad people. they just all got caught up in the moment of what they were doing without thinking of the consequences.

They all went through the same thing their first year. It's just that THEY were Caught. which looks bad on SU's band. but it doesn't tarnish their reputation.

In the Band World. we all adhere to the general and oh so common. Yet UNWRITTEN rules of band.

It's Not a Cakewalk. but at the same time the line has to be drawn where Lives are threatened.

The SU Marching Band Performed A Recent Stop The Violence Rally with only Three members of its mellophone (French Horn) Section.

The Rally was due to an Increased Level of Violent Acts among students Occurring with Students Both on and off campus.

Aside from the Hazing Situation. SU's Drum Major was Shot and Paralyzed this spring. it was the primary reason for the Rally itself. The shooting had nothing to do with the school itself. It was just an Unfortunate situation while the brother was doing his Job.

They All Plead Guilty to Lighten those Charges. I honestly would rather see them All Free. because even the guys who were the victims don't want to see these guys go out in that fashion.

Well.. I'm glad I got that stuff off my chest. .. and other than that. I see that things are looking good and on the Up N Up as far as my frat goes. I believe that the future of it will be great. Things are going the way it was planned . The last 4 years have been good. but 09 will be a GREAT year in our history. for we have found the founders! ..LOL

Ahh man, Back to my life.. So after all the Mayhem today. My nephew figured he could tell on me.. They I Hit'em he needed it. So I Told His momma what he did. HA! he gets slapped. WHY? because he gets smart and thinks it okay to do so... Nah Bruh . i'm YOUR uncle..

See, thats the thing.. They act like they can tell me what to do. I'm Drove. .. here's what it is. Everyday I tell them dudes to clean up after themselves. My nephew has a problem with that. so Idecided ask to do some things.. he never did. Eventually I asked him about Missing Batteries which i know he took.. So he lied to me.. I hit him.. he hit me back .. Note: This dude is 10 years old .. I tried to get him and my brother to be quiet but they kept talking .. smh

I left him alone because he told me "Thats Why Jaime is better than you" .. I felt played and walked out of the room ... at the end of the day. The house is still funky for what They did..

They dont understand that My mom get on me for that.. because apparently Im obligated to do all the chores. yet i have a 15 year old brother that acts like an autistic child when it comes Doing Things . SMH.. nahh wait.. my bad .. anyway ... Yeah. He just doesnt do anything.. Yet He had a nerve to tell ME to do the dishes today?.. DUDE U NEVER DO THEM.. smh.

Anyway.. at the end of the day. my hand is hurting.. my nephew told his momma that He got smart with me. My daddy got on him.. Oh and because of him, the dogs pee'd in her bed. .. she aint mad yet, but she will be when she finds out Why the dogs were in her room..

somehow my brother mysteriously found my moms camera broken on the floor. Yet, I didn't see the cam on the floor Myself when I went to open the door for him. which is also Behind me..

All this means is that im gonna get fussed at for "Yall" doing something. and Everything i dont do..

Shew If it did Fall to its demise, it aint my fault. I was Sleeping Before it happened .. Thats If It Did happen in here... I think he took it to school with him tho..

Overwhelmed with Joy

That's exactly how I'm feeling now. although today was my Uncles Dads Funeral. I got a chance to spend time with the family. My grand mother. came in. My Cousin Darryl and his fam. one of his twins are named after me ..lol it was great. I showed him some footage of his earlier life. LOL.. i guess after a day of cryin' he needed it.

oh. like i said though. I'm very happy that Airee likes the flier.. I feel appreciated. for me Just talking to her is great. I posted the info on the band websites. I do what i do, because I can. I enjoy making people happy, it makes me happy. but especially with it being someone i care that much about ..LOL yeah it's a great feeling knowing she's pleased with my work.

AHH!! I told J about the ring tones i set for bother Her and Airee, she called when my cousin had the phone. and her pic and tone played on screen. ..lol she asked if it was my girlfriend ..lol NOPE is what i told her ..lol that's my buddy. Jermani knows she's my hunnie (one of my best female friends) .. Yeah .. mmhmm

Lastly, Ethan hit me with the NEWS!! .. His Book is Now published and will release in September. The title is "Shake The Devil Off: The Story of a Murder that Rocked New Orleans" written by Ethan Brown. You can pre-order it at Amazon. Why did he inform me? well. because The Idea for the title came from a blog entry of mine back in 2007 titled "Throwdown For Chanel" Although the song titled "shake the devil off" is Dorothy Norwood's black gospel classic. It's the way I worded the Entry that Inspired him to use it as a Title.

I had lunch with him back in 2009, he told me that he was working on the story. We discussed that case, my cousins murder as well as other matters of the city. Crime being the main focus. He told me then, that he got the idea from me. I was happy to know. But now that The Book is actually published and on sale. I'm even happy to know that I'm credited for the Title in the acknowledgments section. .. For me Knowing that I my name will be mentioned in his book. is amazing. I really appreciate it!

I'm not a writer. I have bad grammar. but shew If i was an aurthor I'd have a story to tell for every day of my life..... But wait .. That's why I have a Blog.. LOL!! .. with that said. THE BOOK HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN PUBLISHED!! HAHA!!

My Cousin's dad "Big Darryl" Died Last friday. His funeral is Tomorrow. My Uncle and Aunt are visiting to attend the funeral services. I won't be attending. Lil Darryl's in the city for the first time in a long time. I hope he visits us. we have Lower Back Issues.. yeah man it's life.

Other than that. My Nephew is kind of Getting in the way of everything. Same as the Dogs. and with that. my brother didnt prepare his room for their stay. so my momma is angry about that.

Our Dog is sick. He has a bad case of The flee's. His skin is hard as hell. he needs to see a vet. Really.

Thats's a LIE.. yet he wants ME to CALL the school to ask? .. Dude its 2009 everything is on line.. They want to use me for everything and dont appreciate what I do.

I dont even appreciate being called at 7 and 8 am to do "Favors".. MY DAY AINT EVEN START YET.. I HAVE NO FOLGERS IN MY CUP YET.. ya feel me ..lol

I've been working on a website for The Frat. hopefully it comes out nice. I talked to Elmo about it. Instead of him writing a Message He will be most likely doing a video for entry. so basically the site will probably be Simple as hell being that im going through Webs.com. but it Will work for the organizations standards. Webs doesn't give me the full freedom that i thought it would. but It's very easy to use. hopefully I'll have the site up and running with detailed info. I'm not allowed to put the Complete history so I'll have a modified version of our history on the site.

2nd thing's.. I was awaken from my slumber to do something for my dad. unfortunately he uninstalled software that he didn't realize what was was Only Software. He was trying to print a PDF and did some STUFF.. I had to Reinstall it as well as remove other software. to get that done..

So I went back to sleep and I woke up to get he Baby.. in my email there was something i had been waiting for. and although its business related. it's enough.. that voice.. wow man..lol It's a shame that Im like this. i never thought i'd be holding a phone conversation with her. But hey, My services are Needed therefore I'll do what I can. .. talk about a mutual respect ..LOL!

This Middle School Band Stuff is just Great!

it's almost inspirational! ..

Over the weekend I recorded the Middle School battle of the bands in New Orleans (Algiers lol) .. It went pretty well. It took me a while to get all the Clips online. Mainly because one band's assistant Demanded a DVD. (smh)..

The Bands featured in this battle were Siwell middle of Jackson MS, and 3 New Orleans Middle Schools. Behrman, Fischer & Wright. The Turnout of the event pleased me. especially being on Jazz Fest Weekend. AND THE FACT THAT IT RAINED! .. i was like WOW! ..lol

But yeah. at the end of the Battle I was able to talk to folks about the event and the bands that were part of it. It was Very Great. Online someone started a discussion about the Battle. a Director in Houston wrote this on the Bandhead Forum.

Goldy : After watching the clips of the New Orleans Middle School BOTB I am happy to see such programs still exist. I was amazed at the range of some of those kids. 7 and 8th graders hitting Gs and As above the staff is impressive. I am going to show these clips to our fine arts manager of HISD and tell her this is why New Orleans Band programs are doing much better than some of the other area programs. Its ridiculuous and outright embarassing that these Middle Schools are better than more than half of our high school bands in HISD (not calling any names.)

On last year, ONE DIRECTOR took it upon himself to contact TEA to complain about middle school students doing parades instead of only focusing on tone quality. It lead to a long trail of reccomendations and HISD was ordered to stop middle school bands from marching period. NOTE: He is anti showband. Anyway hopefully New Orleans has started something great with this BOTB in Middle Schools regardless of who won, regardless of how the bands looked or sounded. At least you got your kids there performing in front of a crowd. This is a GREAT FOUNDATION for Music Education...

My Reply..

The first school in the Blue (Siwell) was from Jackson Mississippi, we were glad to see them There.

Here in N.O. I have noticed that the middle school directors are either Fresh out of College or BD's who've come out of Retirement to bring back our HS feeder system. New Orleans of the Past Relied on feeder systems and now with a lack of schools we rely on the Middle schools you saw in that video to prepare the kids for High school. at the rate its going I believe our middle school bands will be the reason N.O comes back strong.

Now Truth is, There were many things wrong with The 3 N.O bands in the Video. but I was happy to even be apart of the event because it showed that this is where it began for folks like ME.. during my time in Middle School,.we didn't have Middle School BOTB's , We actually had Football Games so had a reason to try to Be Good and Learn Feild Precision and The likes.. There were so many other schools in the city to compete with as well.

Also. With the power of the Internet, these Middle schoolers are exposed College band at a Young age. I was at one of the schools the day before the battle. a 4th grader asked what schools I marched for. When I said I marched for Texas Southern. he started talking to me about TSU vs Other bands and How he Likes the Tubas and Certain songs.and . I really Impressed me because he really knew what he's talking about. .LOL.. I wasn't exposed to colleges back then. so for me I felt that this dude was Already Preparing for becoming a HBCU bandsmen ..lol With college bands On his mind that's a good thing.

Our Middle schools start at the elementary level so they allow 4th through 8 to take part in Band. before Katrina it wasn't like that. with the way our school systems are, the bands seem to come and go. so the truth of the matter is. the Battle really came to Life only to motivate the kids to stay in band. The Crowd Turnout was Great. none of the directors expected that big of a crowd. especially because It was the Last Day of the Jazz Festival Weekend.. so For a First Time Event. it went PRETTY WELL.

It makes me feel Old ..LOL but I love it THIS IS THE FUTURE HBCU BANDSMEN!! ..lol!

With That Said. I Also talked to my former fellow bandsmen about the whole event and how these kids represent what we used to do and our outlook on the future of our bands. its a great thing!

Aight here's the deal. .. Guy adds me as a friend on Facebook. I accept under the assumption that he was just coming to see the pictures from this past football season... Note .. I let anyone b my facebook friend. I've never had to Block anyone but This time not only did i block. I reported him. Why? I was offended. He asked Sexual Questions and even posted a link of himself on xtube to my chat box.. I clicked out as fast as i clicked in and I told him I wasnt gay and that I just try to accept folks for who they are. .Thats when the Questions began.. I assumed he'd leave me alone after i told this guy that I wasn't in to anything of that nature.

He was like Oh Okay and logged off.. Then I logged back on and he started asking more questions and things. I responded "Nope" to them all.. then I logged off. .. at 2:20 something I recieved a Txt Messege which said "Hey Big Sexy" from a 318 number. so I knew it was him. I only know a few people from that area and their numbers are In my phone. so i asked Ashley what I should do, because i didnt want to just block him. she said. DO IT! .. so I was like..yeah i guess that'll work.. So as i said in the begining. I Blocked and reported him. Now i see that it doesnt show his page as even existing on facebook. I guess that has to do with the Blockage of the page. Good thing huh?

I don't discreminate .. but I also don't play them gay games.. I felt violated

A Moment in Wiki

So i've been searching for Wiki host for a while and I came across a site called Wikidot, It looked pretty good, Stated that it allowed Adsense as well as easy editing. .. Well I tried it. It wasnt as EASY as i thought it was.. the day after I set it up. I shut it down.

Now After running through many websites just to View how their Wikis work. I Remembered hearing about Wetpaint. which is a Wiki-style Website. I Have a Feeling That it would be great to start. on the otherhand. its not really the same kind of Social Wiki I'm looking for. I may have to bookmark Wetpaint for something Useful later.

Although I will be doing a wikipedia page itself for our org. I would like to have our own wiki domain created specifically as an online info database for editing and safekeeping purposes.

There are some at this Link that I have been looking at. Mashable Mashes up Everything!. I'll try to look at it more monday though. .. I've been to some of those links before. It's that link is actually bookmarked on my laptop. I just havent tried many of the sites.

tomorrow (today) will be a busy day. I'll be gone! .. AHH I have to finish washing some Clothes too. so BRB!

Darryl D. Smith: sees that it's time for DDS to jet from the Boot. How does our "leader" Governor Bobby Jindal find money for a chicken plant, the New Orleans Saints, and pay raises, but cut Health and Education. Isn't that the two things Louisiana sucks in? Maybe I'm not smart enough to understand..

Louisiana makes more money from Tourist therefore the dome renovations go full speed ahead.. The state owns the dome and Tom Benson will soon own the Office Building/Mall Next door do just imagine how Rich They're getting off of the Superdome ..Entertainment cant help the people. its just a distraction from reality

From there another guy mentioned that Gov. J plans to raise Taxes in the areas of Health & Education, which is the reason he left that out of the state budget. .. I for one Believes that is true..


THAT SWINE: The "New" Flu that's Been Around since the 70's.

Alright, Just like Bird Flu, People believe that It's a Pandemic. I have the same feelings . But after watching a few Videos from the past and some New footage from Alex Jones. It all seems to come together and it could be a Small step at Population control. At the same time I don't think It will work. Yet, The News papers are already printing that it is predicted that 1500 cases will show up all over america and Many will probably Die from it.

My Question to that is, How Do They Know for SURE? especially being that so "Little" is known about this "New" (1970's MAN MADE) Flu ... which has no Real Symptoms.. Looking at This Video would make you Spooked out about the whole Idea.. They make the Flu sound like Aids .. Or even Worse ..

The Last Day of the Fro

The Other day while @ The Lake, my sister snapped this pic while i was lying down.. at this point It's the Last photo you'll see of me with my hair out like that. It's much larger in public.. Well, Today in about an hour. It's getting Cut OFF! .. Isn't that great.

To Be Honest. For the past month or so I've been looking for work and i felt that It would be a good time to get rid of the hair for purposes as it relates to Jobs and Interviews. and Besides. My older brother keeps Telling me "U need to Cut You Hair off Because Nobody will Hire you. with your hair like that" .. Note I usually wore my hair Slicked Back when it's not braided. But he says its not Presentable or professional. So although I never respond to him saying that. I Have seen many Braided up and Locked heads.. EVEN MOHAWKS in the work place. IN and Outside of New Orleans. even people that work with him. I know he see's this. but do they "Have to cut their hair" NO!..

Now also. IMO, I do feel that a person on the job should have a clean appearance depending on what they do in the fields they're In. but man. it's not Required that you get a hair cut to work at a Store like Wal-mart. I'm just sayin. LOL.

Then this brings me to some other stuff. Does Hair Rules of this kind even matter to people of Other races? I'm just saying... you don't see anyone telling a Vietnamese person that they cant wear their hair the way they do. (which is normal for them). But they dont have to get a Buzz Cut for a Job. Yet for some reason its not natural for a black male to have hair over 1 inch.. why? lol ..I'm just saying.

I Have been growing my hair since December 2007, now suddenly My brothers bringing up that God says Such and such about hair. when I already Know that it only applied to That of Paul's Church Rules and not what God said. Everybody has rules. Those rules dont apply everywhere. Speaking of that, I wonder why Jesus is potrayed to have Long hair if it was such a bad thing? ..LOL SEE.. BAM There you have it.. Pauls Rules ..LOL

We'll Hey. I'll be Off to get that Cut. Lets hope my head doesn't look stupid Afterwards ..LOL
