Oh Sleep, Where Art Thou?

Aight, I admit.. I Slept all day yesterday, I woke up at 11pm, that’s just before my folks got home from work.. I haven’t been to sleep since. I really need to fix that.  I cant sleep now because I’m not Tired I think the only way I could  adjust my sleeping habits would be to attempt to burn myself out.  Bad Idea, but It might work. 

With me, I gotta stay busy or else I sleep..  It’s one of the few things I Do.. and I do wrong.. Its Mainly because like i said in the beginning. I just don’t sleep enough…

Time to make some moves

Aight, I just recieved a phone bill that i honestly cant afford, therefore I will take tomorrow and run the streets looking for a Job. I’m tired of depending on my dad to do that. He’s been paying my bill since i went totally broke,  that was sometime in late 2007. and honestly… I’ll need it. I know Exactly where to go.. I’ll do that soon too,

Oh.. The Red Title Bar, It’s gone…

I forgot to mention to you all that I Removed the red bar.. well i know it’s Obvious that I changed it to a Black gradient, But I decided to make it black because I didn’t want to read gold text on a  Red bar.. and I refuse to change the title bar Text color.  as for the red Date bar, it stays. LOL

I was actually supposed to be re-adding the Bricks back to the background but i decided not to.

4 whole years and for me, Blogging is still my thing.

Talk about Smooth Jazz and a Smoothie!

lol Yesterday I played Smooth Jazz via web, today I’m doing basically the same .. i do this often… but today I made a smoothie to complement the jazz!. LOL!
Actually I desired to have a pastry of come kind due to the smell fresh coffee which my Dad made.   Eventually I walked in to the kitchen, got 3 bananas and threw them  in a blinder with some other stuff to create my Usual.. except that this time its chocolate.  why? I used chocolate ice cream this time. I rarely use any ice cream at all.  yeah and to probably gross you out, I put  some Mini  3 Musketeer mini’s in it. which gave it a minty flavor. LOL that was a first.  If i had peanuts they would have made the mix.

My Usually is, Banana’s, Milk & Ice. But  Today I did, Banana’s Milk, Ice,  Honey, Ice-cream and 3 Musketeer minis.. LOL .. as i said before If i had peanuts i wouldn’t have used the musketeers. Sounds Crazy but it works when you want it as thick as smoothie kings.

If I had cinnamon, it would have made the mix as well… LOL

Okay I’m done with this entry. got to finish my smoothie.. lol

Nothing Like Smooth Jazz on a Sunday Morning

This Title is Nearly Inferior to what I’m going to be writing other than the fact that I am listening and have been listening to Smooth Jazz Radio via itunes. I love it. it helps you relax. Now all I really need to do is Concentrate in meditation.. LOL!

In fact, I’m no longer listening to the Smooth Jazz. I Recently changed the station to WWOZ 90.7. They’re playing old Cajun tunes.  yeah something i rarely listen to is N.O’s Jazz and Heritage Station. get in touch with Ancient Louisiana ..LOL!

What am I doing Now? Nothing Really

I was up playing Zelda, I’m stuck in Jabu-Jabu’s Belly right now. I need to get a bigger wallet!! .. what's the whole purpose of having the Stone of Agony if their is no rumble feature on the Wii version? .. man that sux! I’ve done Lots in 2 days of playing that game. LOL!

Ugliness Enhancements: The Ultimate Turn-Off

Well, to me at least…
This post might offend somebody but hey, this is just how I feel about it.
.. Here Goes....

Sometimes I Don’t understand females and their personal Issues as it regards to their attractiveness and unattractiveness.  I hdon’t understand the point of attempting to enhance your looks if you fail at doing so all the Time. I Call it to it as Enhancing your Ugliness. Why? Because their are things that Beautiful women do to their bodies that make them Less attractive every day.
Here is The List of those things that I Personally am Turned off by…and How i feel about them, Anything Unlisted are things I could probably deal with. but Here’s what I mean.

• Heavy Make up – If you come across me Smelling like 200 pounds of powder and perfumes, it makes me Nauseous, I cant Breath around you..
• Completely Cutting off your Eyebrows – That’s STUPID, Your brows are there fore a reason
• UnNecessary Piercings – I hate Face / Lip / Eye-Brow / Nose/ Tongue / Piercings.  I could deal with the Navel thing. but I dislike that too.  I also Dislike Piercings in The Tragus & upper ear. That junk just looks weird.
• Beauty Marks -  Okay, It’s Different when a person has a natural mole on their face. But It’s Dead Skin, and nothing is attractive about it to me. folks with real moles see it as a flaw and they try to cover it up or have them removed.  With that said, adding a False one is just dumb.  Madonna had a real mole, she got it removed.
• Tattoos – Okay, I actually Like looking at tattoos. but at the same time. It’s a Big No-No. I can deal with one or 2. But I don’t want to see somebody's name on your skin, You are not a Label or a Brand, There's no need for a Label or brand to be across your body. I could Deal with Tats, But I’d rather see some Tribal style or something Unusual, I don’t want to have to Read a Paragraph on your skin..

On To More Traits of Unattractiveness Via Actions or Speech.

• Smoking – Bad Enough, I can’t breath around smokers.. so Having a Non Smoking female would be Nice.. LOL
• Vulgarity -  Many females make it obvious that they are FREAKY that’s Nasty.
• Obscene Language - Excessive Use of Profanity shall be prohibited around me. I don’t curse. Therefore I dislike when folks cuss around me.  I wouldn’t recommend being with someone who fells the need to blurt out a cuss word in every sentence.
• Inappropriate Attire – It’s not good to wear you club clothes everywhere. basically.
• Too Much Clubbing – If Every weekend you’re in the club. Yeah thats a turn off, because it means that when you do get in a relationship it will be no different.
• Great Pretender – When You’re Trying to be an external “Baller" yet you’re in Internal Disaster. You pride yourself with the things you have. but you’re emotionally, physically & Mentally Unstable… you want to be Noticed but you can’t handle real life situations because your mind is stuck on your appearance . You say you don’t care what people think, yet you’re looking for approval.

I’ll Stop here… LOL IMO. My Preferences are not bad as compared to what others have. It’s like, Others want the complete opposite.  Everybody wants the physical but when It outweighs The mental  and the Natural, you have a problem.  I Love a Natural Beauty. one who does not need to Get Extra Extra with themselves to Be Liked or to Fit in. Just Be you. Be Real.

Reacquainting with Zelda: Ocarina

Yesterday I headed to Wal-Mart to get the Wii classic style controllers so I can play my Downloaded  "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time". I Loved that game on the N64 so I had to get it for Wii. I'm still adjusting to the controls, I played for about 6 hours non stop yesterday. LOL Sad but true. Before that I played for like 8, Shame but true. lol

what I love about Ocarina of Time is that almost every thing you do Is a Challenge, Right now, I need Bombs because I have a Chicken stuck behind a box I cant move ..LOL! its funny.

Yep. I've ended This about 4 or 5 times in my life.. i didn't own it on 64, but I've played it Enough.  One of the Greatest games of all time

What is VirTool:Win32/Killwifip.A Exactly?

Over Night, I did a Virus Scan with the Online Version of Microsoft’s OneCare Live on my Room PC. .. yeah It took overnight, My Room PC is the oldest in the house and hasn’t been the same since my brother made it fall.. (when it was in his room).

Well Yeah.. So I Scanned It and all that was found was VirTool:Win32/Killwifip.A.

it was removed when Found, I’m Guessing it came in a Theme Package i downloaded,.. all that means is that I have to Scan my External Hard drive as well. Now I’m on my way to Completing the Process to finish off everything else that was scanned.

But I still want to know What VirTool:Win32/Killwifip.A is Exactly? Why? Because There is Nothing about it online. I saw one page with No Description.. Sux!

I’ll Just take an Educated guess and say that The only reason it’s a severe threat is because it has no known causes.  

with that said, The only thing i could guess is that It could be a memory eater, because that’s my main problem with the Room PC.

HEY YOU GUYS! The Electric Company is Back!

Wow man, so i was flicking through the Local stations and “The Electric Company” showed up on the menu.  I flicked back and there it was.. a New Electric Company.. I Expected the version that existed before Sesame Street in the 70’s.  But I got some what of a shock to see that it was totally new. I Think it Returned sometime in 2008 though.. but hey If I’m late I still think it’s great!

I don't know how the format for this show is now, but i see that it’s not only an All-Black show. which is a good thing. It seems like it’s full of All New Skits and Cartoons.  I believe the old one had a Sesame Street like feel, This one doesn’t seem to have that.

I haven't blogged from the web in a minute

lol, I've been using windows live writer desktop application all year, so far, I haven't blogged Via Web in a Hot minute other than thru my Blackberry, I don't count that post. I was having a Rev. Run Moment. . . so coming back to a system that was recently updated is almost weird.  Some things have changed. but it's great.

Aight, so I’m watching WWE RAW, Guest Host is Cedric The Entertainer. Ced Had a Special Match vs Chavo Guerrero, Jr.   This fool came out Dancing in some Tights… Did a whole lot of Stalling and then Ran Under the ring.  a minute later Out came a Bigger Masked Man..  I sat here like, It Can’t be Mark Henry, It Can’t be Shad..

it almost looked too big to be Boogeyman or Ezekiel Jackson.. LOL. Who ever he was, he knocked Chavo down, Which led to a Masked Hornswoggle Frog splashing on Chavo.  Ced came back in to make the Pin, Then Got up for a Victory dance. Then Both Hornswoggle and the other Masked guy came out to join in. He Kept the Mask on during the dance they did at the end of the Match.

There aren't Too many BIG black Wrestlers in WWE, The others  are smaller than that.  .. my guess is Ezekiel.. i

Easton Vs St. Augustine 2009 Pictures

I Attended this game Saturday and I can honestly see it becoming a lasting thing, the battle was good, Ms. M is doing a fine job at Easton for her first year. which she came in on an established band, but I can see many improvements as well as a few setbacks from last year.  As for St. Aug, They took this Win…

I Assumed that their would be a larger number of spectators on both sides. but nope. I can sure say that Eastons Coming along just fine. Next to Walker They are one of the Better Public School bands in N.O so far.

What A Coincidence, Another Hazing Case

 

Yesterday, Before I left to attend a High School football game, I got an email saying  “20 JSU bandsmen Suspended for Hazing”,.. (that’s not the article i read though)  .. its something how this comes about after I made an entry Regarding the case at Southern.

It Doesn’t surprise me because their was an Issue with them back in 07, and also because Hazing Happens Everywhere…. But it’s said, This was supposed to be a Refreshing year for The Boom, New Chief of Staff, New Announcer, Huge band…yeah the band is Swole!.. well Now Minus 20…  but I’s pretty messed up that the New Head Director has to go through this with his band.

Honestly, Nothing positive comes out of hazing, it happens everywhere

Crabs these days are Weak as Hell, You can’t Tell them what to do.. It Ain’t Just Beating now days, when you tell them to do pushups and they’d swear you’re Hazing. them.

Partly True but, According to Hazing laws. Anything Forced on someone who’s unwilling to permit is hazing.  at the same time, their is a level of Military-like procedure which is part of being a bandsmen.  There are things you do have to go through to Make The Band. But being Severely Beaten or Mentally Abused are not one of them. 

There is no Proof that Hazing makes a person better, it mainly makes you Insane!..

I hope JSU’s Boom Works this out and the band continues to do their job as the investigation continues.

I Hate when they Tie Everything to New Orleans

I Just read an article about Hazing, In the Article It Mention the situation which happened in Between October & November of 2008 with Hazing Rituals at Southern University.  That’s not a My Issue because it happened and it’s over and done with.

My Problem is that They Tied this situation Directly to New Orleans. If they would have released the correct info I would have been Okay with the Article. 

In he Article it says This…

In November 2008, members of New Orleans’ Southern University marching band gathered at the off-campus home of one of their bandmates, where three were blindfolded, doused with water and beaten with a board.

I don't understand how Professors at all these prestigious Universities, research things only to release False Info. and Why is it that All Violent Acts in Louisiana Have to Be Tied to New Orleans.

If They would have gotten the Info Correctly they would have known that None of the Boys were From New Orleans, The Situation Happened Outside of Baton Rouge Louisiana, Southern University’s Main Campus and Marching Band it Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. That Situation had Nothing to do with New Orleans other than the Bayou Classic Event which those Accused/ Charged took part in.

But I get Pretty Aggravated by folks that Tie everything to New Orleans, That Situation was bad.  The Least you could have did was Find out the location of the actual Incident. 

I Wrote A comment saying, What about PIKE? that was in New Orleans in 2006, but They let them guys Slide… Yet they Have to Mention The Black Colleges… I’m just saying..

That Other Post part 2

So yeah, There are things I can’t just tell folks straight forward because I believe that I’d hurt their feelings. I never want to disown a person or discourage them.  There are times where I’m joking and it’s funny but Maaaannnn….

I guess its because I’ve been Lied to enough ya know. so yeah it’s partiallly why I wrote the entry. It may not solve anything. but it’s how I am. If I were to be brutally honest. people would hate me ..LOL

A Double Standard to Honesty

You Know, People who know me say that I’m a generous person, they say i’m Nice.. but Truth is, I’m Never really Honest with people.  Why? Usually because I don’t want to have someone angry with me.  I Blog because I can give my views, My True feelings toward those issues I can’t just say directly to my friends.

Quisha for example said that she can tell when I’m not 100% Honest with her. because of my how i respond to what she’s saying.  Part of the reason has to do with a fear of Rejection, it’s the same reason I can’t say “No” to people when they ask of my services. Most of the time I honestly don’t want to deal with it. But at the same time its like .. well I’ll do this one good time and let it go…….

With that said… It’s like.. When Being Honest, People seem to get angry when you disagree with them. Usually I wouldn't say my view on something until I've heard someone else’s… It’s just something i do to keep the Peace rather than to gain enemies .. I’ll talk more about this later

Friday Randomness

Yesterday I wanted to make an entry about something, I forgot what one of them was..
So here goes the randomness.
I Downloaded Opera Browser on my Blackberry which helped fix he way it's Normal Browser functions.  With that though, I had to delete a few apps, The Blackberry doesn't come with much space on them I thought about getting Yahoo’s OneSearch, but I already have Google’s App, therefore No Need for Yahoo.
I decided to go with Opera’s Mobile Browser after being Introduced to it via Nintendo Wii, it’s very nice.  I wont be getting it for my PC though. I’m so used to Mozilla Firefox you know.

I Found Myself on Youtube Watching Loads of WWE Owned clips from The Past. Clips such as Razor Ramon’s  debut promo’s in the old WWF, His TNA Debut and WCW Debut as an “Outsider”. Those videos were great. Some I saw while Live on tv, Others I haven't.  Funny thing is that It showed me how Real certain situations were in WCW and how when unplanned events  happened  WCW’s Commentators knew NOTHING about what went on..LOL

I also Watched Old Doink Footage.. lol Clever Guy!..

After Stumbling upon a Video of Rodman & Hogan vs Malone & DDP from the old WCW Days..It reminded me of some Things about Black folks Wrestling / Imitating Wrestler in the past .. With that said… Here’s what I’m referring to.

I Noticed how Black Wrestlers or people Imitating Wrestlers such as i have in @ Some points in life LOL... ..seem to Clap their haands before Executing certain impact maneuvers.  Those moves usually Consisted of The Flying Elbow (From The Top Rop ) .. The Elbow Drop. An Elbow Smash (while Running) , A Chop Block,  or Punches & Fist Drops,.. Sometimes they Clap Before a Counter Move as well.   I guess its to get folks attention, a signal for “It’s about to happen”..Or maybe just a Clap of Excitement.. I’ve been seriously paying attention to Wrestling since Late 95, I remember many episodes up until 1999 When I got to High school, I had Little/No Time to watch as i had in middle school)

Other than that. I’m not sleeping at the right times.. I blogged about that earlier this week though.
I Think I need to head to an HBCU game This weekend. This fool Tremaine keeps asking me to Tape a Middle school game, Or Even to Tape High school games .. because HE WANTS THE TAPE!! smh.. but I haven’t been out yet.

My Nephew Won his first football game, He Plays for Lakeview Vikings  (little league park team) and he plays Right Guard / Left Tackle.. Note, I’m not aball sports person so I know Little about Football.. I know what they do. but i’m not keen in everything about it..  But I’m happy he plays.
 Earlier The Thing I write In Blue (In an entry yesterday) was actually about my buddy J. I haven't really talked to her by phone since the season began. I know she’s busy dancing. I have yet to attend a game. I need to see her before the year is out.

On The Book Front… I Keep getting Good News as it relates to Ethan Brown’s “Shake the Devil Off” .. Oddly Enough I Keep running across the stories of Zack & Addie.. It’s a shame, I still haven't officially Started on the Book, made an unofficial promise to Ethan that I’d read it. being that my name is in it.
Ahh, The Fall is Interesting!!.. I Seriously need to head to the TNSU game though, I haven't Captured footage all year, forget the HD stuff I just want to get pics of the Dancers..LOL!

Today (yesterday)  I found myself watching WDSU’s News, The Subject with the Mayoral Prospects.. Then I though about how folks who run for mayor here but do not actually live, nor have a desire to live in this city.   The Closest they Do live to the actual city of New Orleans would be Somewhere  Outside of the Parish. 

I was Going to Draw up some Spoof Campaign Posters  which will say “Vote The Book for Mayor of New Orleans”  Just to mess with some some friends on Facebook.
At that point I was like, How about Instead of mayor of N.O, How about I Run for  President of some random Fictional Village, or Even The World .. Here’s What I Came Up With..

Looks Like The old CDC’s had an Update

I’m glad that I did run Across SUCDC’s website, This was my old workplace in Houston.  I Saw that it’s changed, Yet one thing remained the same. The Blog.

After seeing that The site was updated I sent a letter to CEO & Project Director Efrem Jernigan letting him know. that I I can No longer access that blog, and I suggested he remove it completely and make the switch to Facebook.

There are Many Reason I asked him to make the switch, The main reason is that we live in a world where Social networking via the web is the most effective way to draw in support for what you do. I Basically Explained to him how face book pages work and why in today's time it would be more effective than a regular Blog I also ask that if he decides on going with facebook, to Run the page himself. That way It he wouldn't have to always use a mainling list to send public messages.

It’s fairly easy to Market / Promote oneself or an organization Via Facebook. I’d love for SUCDC to Grow while Technology’s resources to Strengthen common ground in and reach out to members of their neighborhood and beyond.

Since I’ve Left, Their was a Downfall and an upbringing of SUCDC,  But I have faith that the programs they provide will be around for a long time to serve that community.

I Need To Make a Dental Appointment

 

But I need a good & cheep dentist, Maybe I need to see an orthodontist why? My teeth are Bad.. one of my fronts has been chipped for a long time, although “Fixed” it’s not actually straight..  The Other front is Not somehow Chipped it the top.. it’s ugly. at least it Feels ugly ..lol. But I need it fixed. It may have to be shaved down, which means it will be weaker.  I have 2 back teeth that need to be pulled as well. and they need to be cleaned, it’s like  I need a Mouth Makeover. LOL. I Only have about $900 to my name. If I could get porcelain Crowns i’d be Straight!

This was the Video Selected for  Youtube Revenue,  Hopefully it passes, I sent them The Back of my media pass from that event. hopefully its clear enough for them to Read it ..  I want it to pass!. the thing that sux is that theirs one image on the clip I created from a video game. I don’t know if that’ll fly with youtube.

Youtube Partnership Program Invite

I Received  An Invitation Via Youtube stating that they’d like me to start making Revenue from This Video, due to its Hit count.  I Signed up..  The Sucky part is that the video be up to their standard or I’d have to Remove the video Completely. Honestly, I don’t want to do that.. They might wind up deleting my WHOLE account. Which the video has only one graphic that’s not totally my creation.  With that said.  I hope this video passes because  If not I’m going to be Kinda mad, Especially due to the fact that They invited me to use the service.

9/9/09 and a Hijacked Plane

Wow.. I have to shake my head at this. At least they let the passengers go free.  Talk about Dumb Criminals.
By the time I tuned in, The Plane was  beginning to land and I’m glad they did.

It’s wild that 8 years after 9/11  on a date fairly close enough and with all this superstition of Numeral Enigmas.. smh, wow…

Mii according to Wii

I’ve been on this Wii Fit for Two days now, since then My Balance has improved and my weight changed slightly. I love it!. the only thing about it is that they ask you to do things impossible  to do at my weight. I weighed in Originally at 299, I went down to 297 so far. I realize that over night I gained 1pound back and a few liters back.

With this game showing me some things to improve myself, I’ll be  playing this more often.  My goal is to have new high scores every day… as in First Place.
Wii Fit is Serious Training, It’s not a Game.. If you short cut, you’ll be cheating yourself.  I think that the only Con about this program is that it seems to only recommend things common amongst the Japanese. 

It’s cool, but It’s a workout. I played this “Ball in the hole” balance game and finally got a Decent Score. Here are some screen shots!

 

That’s good enough for me.. at least for now. Because later on today I’m gonna tackle the more difficult level. I love it!. Improving your Posture is a great thing.  The balance games are my favorite. The Super Stress Relief Training. Had this thing been around when I was in High School, I’d be SLIM now … LOL

 

Note From The Book

Wow! Lee Zurik is leaving WWLTV.

This man is like the next Bill Capo when it comes to investigative reporting! He’s always trying to get the facts by asking the hardcore questions most people want to know but have no heart to ask.  He’s not a “Gotcha" reporter, but the way he precedes at doing his job is like he’s almost the Judge and his audience is the jury.

I’d be nervous having Lee Zurich ask me anything on camera, or Even off camera for that matter. because even if you are telling the truth it’s a possibility that your body language, actions or tone of voice will state otherwise. You'd have 100,000 people accusing you of being guilty… LOL

I’ve seen reports where he’d be standing outside of someone's Living Quarters awaiting their presence to get answers. Those folks come home and are like Ah! Lee Zurik is here, RUN!!  LOL …  it took Jack McGee many years to find out The Identity of The Incredible Hulk, by then The Hulk had fell to his demise (or freedom) before turning back to Dr. David Banner in front of McGee’s eyes. It doesn’t take Lee Zurik that long to get the facts. LOL!  (yeah I had to get fictional on y’all!)

No but really, His work is very much appreciated.

Ah, so I went to the “Shake The Devil Off” reading  @ Octavia Books and I met a few of my Fellow Bloggers! Should have gotten pictures of them!  Glad to meet them. They’re on my Blog rolls.. just not on the Roll of blogs on here. LOL!  If you were to click on my profile, you’d probably see that  I’m following about 100 blogs ..LOL!

I am proud to know that I had something to do with this book… even though the it’s kind of crazy to be mentioned in a book is about a murder case..

I don't think that it's weird that I part of the forum session, but it's like AHHH!  I’m not really a Spotlight kind of of person. Honestly I’ve said it many times before.  I’m Talkative, but I'd rather not speak if i don’t have too because I don’t like how I sound when I talk… Seriously. I’d Rather SMILE and Nod ..LOL! yeah I try to keep a positive attitude about things.
