5:55 am on the 5th Anniversary of Katrina

(yeah that’s the timestamp of the moment i started writing this entry)

In the past month leading up to this day I’ve reflected on My Experiences in and around Katrina with Loved ones as well as Via my blog… Although most were offline discussions. I’m glad we all can reflect on it as a defining moment of many things.

So much has changed since Katrina, but it’s changed for the better. Much of it I don’t fully agree with, but the systems in place are working for the best of what Is now. What we did in the past is gone and although there are things we struggle with daily because of it. We live our lives looking to the a brighter future.

The Irony is that My Cousin Tandra and some of her kids today, They were also with us during Katrina.  Today they visited because I offered to fix her PC.  She came at around 6or 7 and left after 2am. we reflected on Katrina and the loss of her Husband and also everything else we lost and gained since then. Tandra is my Cousin whose Husband died in the Flood. To think back on that is sad. but The memories we have of him even leading up to his death is still with us.

I wrote on my Facebook page earlier saying I Thank All who took the time out to assist me and my family.  and my one Year in Houston was amazing too.. I appreciate it all myself, For Me, Moving Back was was hard for me, yet very easy for my parents. at this time we ran out of funds to keep us stable so we had to move back.

For me, Since we’ve gotten back. I kind of put myself in a situation that  I shouldn’t be in. I’m at an attempt to fix that. But I’m still hopeful of my Future. There are things that I want to have and Need to do in order to make my End personal strife. Hopefully this will happen before 2011.

Today In Celebration there will be a load of events. I actually want to go out. but the weather says otherwise. if i don’t I’ll just make the hotdogs and stay inside to blog some more.

Everyone is Rallying. for something today Why? Because it marks the 47th Year of the MLK Speech. and everybody is discussing Some type of Freedom around these parts. If Not Racial or Religious it’s all Political Concerns. and In My Opinion. They’re using the opportunity to Benefit themselves.

Dr. William P. Foster Passes

Some time this morning I got word Via Twitter. that The Founder of the Florida A&M Marching 100 Died. All I could do was go “Wooooow!” .. because It Marks the end of an An Era in band that has lasted for Many Generations.

It’s a Sad Day in the Band World.  And The Bandheads are  sharing their thoughts. So Far,  I’ve seen a number of articles and article postings on forums as well as via Facebook with users commenting on his passing.

Dr. Foster is Not only a Legend, But a Titan, One of the Originators of what we know as Show style band Today. He and his band The Florida A&M marching 100 are World Renowned.

It’s the Beginning of a New Era in the Band World folks..

My Thoughts and Prayers are with the Marching 100 and The Family of a Man who has changed the face of Band For Ever.

I’m glad I have folks to discuss those matters with.

I’ve talked to a number to a few friend regarding the last entry I made as well as some other personal believes of mine. as those folks shared theirs. and I appreciate the discussion.. I’m glad I have folks who I can openly discuss this with on a personal level. because generally as Christians we’re all on the same path.

After talking to mike about a past situation involving a similar ordeal. both he and myself felt the same way. Not to Mention our denomination because it’s best to believe in and discuss the whole bible, not just part of it.

A Day ago while discussing it with Ben, although our conversation was Brief. He basically mentioned other scriptures in different books pertaining to the manifestation of it all.

Like Me, these guys are Apostolic Pentecostals one is a  Minister, the other is my best friend as a child who grew up in a Pentecostal church, (not the one i went to) ..

Generally though, as I said in the beginning. I’m glad I have those folks to discuss these matters. because it help me continue my walk in faith.

Tomorrow I plan on blogging on some other things.

An Unholy Foundation According to Some.

So Basically,  I’m on Facebook, Connected to a Minister who speaks against many things that are not seen as holy in regard to the bible and secular things. I wont mention his full name here but.  After reading and commenting on a recent status he made Sunday, I had to take time to write this. Why? this time He took aim at all Christians who believe  that “Tongues” Verifies Receiving the Holy Spirit.

Being that I came up on Pentecostal principles, The way it has been interpreted  and told by PEOPLE versus what they were taught, would make you think that they’re crazy. so I know where he’s coming from. but I don’t see the point of making such a big deal about it.
it’s not what we say, it’s about what's written.

I honestly don’t appreciate him calling the Denomination a Cult based on Unholy Doctrine. Here’s how I came into the conversation.

Minister Fred:  To all Christians who have been hounded that you not received the Holy Spirit unless you have spoken in tongues, you received the Holy Spirit when you were Born Again. Not only that, but you were BAPTIZED by the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body. So all of this foolishness about having to speak in tongues is just that, foolishness, just as foolish as tongues we hear in today.

After reading this, I agreed and replied to it .because it’s not written way. But This all Refers to the day of Pentecost. which occurs in the Book of Acts 2: 1-4. Which states Clearly what happened on that day. It’s part of what Pentecostalism was founded on.

At  Acts 2 verse 4 (King James Version) it says this:

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

So I mentioned to him that I'm Pentecostal and I don’t believe in that. (as he stated in his status)  because it’s not written that way  But I guess he didn’t get that because he responded in a rude manner by asking this

Minister Fred: So what language do you hear people speak in at your church?

From there I Ignored the question, I just continued to explain that As a Apostolic Pentecostal I know exactly what the Scriptures say and how its been misinterpreted by the Church. Most people quote this as the Devine Reference Totally forgetting about The rest of the Book. I also Mentioned that folks have forgotten about Acts 2: 36-40.  Where where after being witnessed to of the works of Christ. the people wanted to Know what could they do to. So Peter told them to Be Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Now It’s Likely that the Gift they’re referring to is the Gift of The Tongue. Yet It’s not Necessarily Clear. so people identify this as “Catching The Holy Ghost” … It’s not only Pentecostal who say those kind of things though.

And I also Agree with him and the others on the fact that those who claim to have this ability display it by randomly shouting gibberish  But IMO it’s just as fake as those only go to church to draw attention to themselves.

After I stated my Case. I told him that I don't attend any church. and although I'm not big on denominations I do consider myself Pentecostal. I mentioned it because I know that's what they teach within the churches of the Pentecostal denomination.  I also said that I Appreciate the Discussion.

At this point He Seemed to put up an argument by Writing someone else’s comment sometime later (while i was offline)

Minister F( writing someone elses comment): It's amazing how people take one scripture in Acts and try and make a complete biblical doctrine out of it.

At this Point I No Longer wanted to continue the conversation because I took that Personal.  In My last reply I stated that That was not what I’m doing. and the fact that I was only replied because his Status Related to the Day of Pentecost.

The Minister Implied that That post was supposed to be written before I decided to bring it up… Yet he waited Hours before posting it…  and because they were on a tirade against Pentecostalism, I decided to stay out of the conversation.

From Here On Out: I’ll be posting is the rest of the discussion. my Opinions are also beneath them. These Opinions were not written

 

Minister F: My status is in relation to Acts 2:38. It is this scripture that many Christian cults teach that for people to be born again, they must be water baptized to be saved or boths peak in tongues and be water baptized.

My point of contention with Pentecostals is that what they are practicing today is not what happened in Acts 2:4.

Although I don’t appreciate him saying “Christian Cults”  I understand That Clearly it’s It’s basically the same as I stated from The Start. but instead of trying to understand. he continued to put forth an argument.

At this point. others are begin to reply. I just read along. because I felt that we as Christians this shouldn’t be an argument. I even talked to my mom and sister about it all. and I’ll soon be talking to my boy Ben who just happens to be a Minister of a Pentecostal church.

Here’s the a reply from someone

Richard: The problem is that most people don't know that there are 7 baptisms. This is why Naaman was told to dip 7 times in the Jordan river by elijah. Although there is only one Baptism, there are seven within that one, just like there is only one God but he consists of three persons. This is why in Hebrews 6:1, it teaches us the principles of the doctrine of Christ was imperative to learn before moving on to teach others; The scripture mentions "Baptisms" as one of the six foundational stones of the doctrine of Christ; however, because of denominations most would only learn about the Baptism into the body of Christ (New Birth),Baptism of holy Ghost (Supernatural Power), Baptism of water (Identifying with the death,burial and resurrection of Christ).

Here are the seven

1. Baptism unto Moses (1 Cor 10:2)
2. Baptism unto repentance (Luke 3:1-3, Mark 1:4)
3. Baptism into the Body of Christ ( 1 Cor 12:13)
4. Baptism with water (Acts 10:7)
5. Baptism with Holy Ghost (Acts 1:5)
6. Baptism of Fire (Matthew 3:11)
7. Baptism with his suffering(Matthew 20:23)
Notice I haven't even talked about tongues yet, if the basics are not fully understood than tongues would be too difficult to teach a person.

At this point someone asked if Pentecostals were the only ones that teach this. while putting the acronym for the “Shaking my head” expression.  IMO If she  would have read everything else she would have seen that The Minister said “Some”.. the general reference was to Pentecostals.

Richard Continues: Not just Pentecostals teach speaking in tongues as a manifestation of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is quite common in baptist and other charismatic denominations as well. The difference is nothing more than the revelation of that particular denomination. Most of your denominations have received truth, but because the denomination is founded on a particular revelation and not the revealer "Jesus Christ" the church splits." I say again" The church is founded on Christ, but the denomination is founded on revelation. Think of denominations as different flavors of ice cream, just because i have banana flavored ice cream it doesn't mean I don't have ice cream, it means there are some additional additives that "Man" has added according to their understanding. You see, I studied under most mainstream denominations, and the biggest difference was that God was dealing with all of them according to what they could receive and process mentally and spiritually, Some revelations are so deep it would only cause confusion in some peoples' mind, so their learning has to stop at certain levels. Some people can only see through denominational glasses because that all they know and when they ask their teacher or Pastor hard questions they are rebuked, and told to learn it they way they did, so their learning can only go as far as their Pastor, Teacher or denomination. You can't put new wine into old wine skins lest they burst. Jesus never taught denomination, but people would rather be around other people who have received the same revelations. Some see it as a Bad thing, I see it as a Good thing, God deals with us according to what we can recieve, and if you are hungry and want to know more, you will have to break the denominational wine skin. It doesn't mean leave the church where you are at, but if something isn't making sense to you ask the Lord to open up your mind and show you more. We are all a family founded on Christ's love.
      

And This is why I read for MYSELF to begin with, I haven’t attended a church on a daily basis since the time i was maybe 12. at that time it was because we didn’t have transportation to the church from where we lived. But we’ve always kept what we have Learned in our hearts. aside from that. I came up with the teachings of my parents as well as reading books in reference to others testimonies and how they dealt with it.

I’m not a one dimensional Christian by a long shot. I soak in all I can learn no-mater the Denomination and I read and try to apply accordingly to the best of my knowledge.

I May have to send Richard a Letter via Facebook thinking him for clearing that up for those who have read.

Ephesians 4:14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the thead—Christ—

At this point The Minister returns to say his point. basically saying that Christian Cults teach different aspects of salvation. and then he mentions to Richard that there are 2 kinds of revelations and that Man is trying to Make Their own Revelation. Generally repeating the same as he stated above in the end..

Minister F: …Postmodern Christianity places emphasis on relative truth, therefore, allowing for multiple interpretations that break with the context of scripture.

        The key is where did the aberration of today's Pentecostalism originate. There are always Pastors of the mainstream denoms looking for something new. Unfortunately, they find a strange fire in tongues, or unholy doctrine in the necessity of water baptism for salvation. 

See how The Minister Continues to Rip on the value Speaking in Tongues once again. It’s like he wants to be heard so badly that he’s willing to put up any kind of argument to Reject it.

There are Different branches of the Pentecostal Church The Initial principles are the same across the board. and they’re very much like churches of other denominations. The big difference is that they choose have a more enthusiastic kind of service. and If anyone was smart they’d read for themselves. it’s all about how We as individuals apply what we know to our lives. it’s not about what a pastor or minister  told me. or what denomination we are. because at the end of the day, in Christ we are Brothers. So why are You trying so hard Reject another form of Christian worship?

On Occasions I’ve attended other church services , some who have no denomination and aside from the Music and the In House Prayers, Sermons and Testimonial parts to these services.  All They’re really asking you do to is Read for yourself and live according to the word of God. But as i said before as Individuals We all receive the message differently.  and this is why we all should TALK about The Bible amongst our Christian Brothers and Sisters to better understand. Not to put somebody down.

To my knowledge Haven’t been Baptized, but I know what's best for me as I’m a Believer in Jesus Christ. I don’t know the bible as a Should. I cant Quote The Bible Accurately like others, nor am i a bible thumper.. I’m just trying to live Right through the eyes of God.

I Know that there will be some folks who may not agree with anything I’ve stated in this blog entry. but to be honest. It hurts.. because Aside from the teaching of Parents and the Schools. It was Pentecostalism that played a big role in My Life.  Those things were basically  To follow the general rules and morals of Society as is according to Laws of Both Bible and The Land. People have always called me “Good” or “Nice” , Those who know me personally know that I don’t curse when i talk. and I try to be respectful to everyone I encounter. There are people who say I smile to much, people who think that I’m putting on some kind of front. but I’m not. I’m just me.

Benjamin (my friend who’s now a Pentecostal Minister) Had no clue that I was Pentecostal while in school, all he knew that I didn’t curse, or trying to fit in and the fact that I was always a cool dude to be around. . He Recently asked me now that he’s a Minister, Why Didn’t I talk to him back then.  Because he feels that He would have probably wouldn’t have done some of the things he did prior to the things that led him into the church. 

For Me, Part of the reason I Didn’t talk about it (and I told Him This) is because folks  run away from conversations regarding Biblical & Spiritual Matters. Especially when discussing bible prophecy or the end times because they’re Scared to discuss those matters. 

With That Said,   would hear folks talk of what goes on in their Churches they’d even sing songs they came up knowing that were common in their churches. and no doubt, I’d feel Left out because I didn’t go to Church. Therefore I couldn’t really find a way to openly express my thoughts without folks thinking that I was crazy. No  Folks I’m not Crazy nor Confused. I’m only trying to live my life accordingly because I know where My Soul Belongs. and My Journey Isn’t over, Not By A long Shot.

To Anyone  read this, If You are Christian you know that taking part in Biblical discussion is a Great thing. But using Gods word to put forth an argument gets us nowhere. We are equals in Christ. And as we continue to do right by his word He will continue to reward us mentally, physically and spiritual until the end of our days.

The Other day I was watching a YouTube which caused me write this entry. The video was called “Last Breath”. it talked about how we wake up every day and spend our lives basking in our worldly goods and and at any spit second. The video continues and the song begins as the video montage and lyrics scrolled across the screen. You can’t help but to listen to the song as compared to the visuals too. The Song is Beautiful to me.

I’m only posting the song itself with the lyrics here, because all you need is the song itself to get the message. This song is of Islamic Reference but it doesn’t matter the religion because the lyrics apply to everyone. especially those who believe there is a God.  I’m a Christian myself and I felt this song. at that point it especially after watching the video. not only did it make me question my own life. but made me think of all the people who have died in my lifetime, especially those who were close to me, whether it be natural death or tragic death, it all happens to someone at sometime everyday, every second of our lives.

Note From The Book

Instant Messenging made easy

... well for me at least.

for the past 3 weeks I've been experimenting with desktop multipurpose instant  messengers such as Digsby and pidgin on both my XP and Vista. I've finally found something that works for me.and in this post are going to be the reasons I recommend them all. 

Digsby works greatly with every account i have. whether it be yahoo, Aim, Gtalk, MSN, MySpace Facebook, Twitter it does wonders.i like the fact that after a certain marks are peaked, Digsby  displays those "accomplishments"  via twitter and Facebook. i like it, I think it's cool to be logged in to all sites of that on one application. it also gives notifications for everything! I turned most of notifications ff due to my experience with it on XP. it works perfectly Fine on Windows 7. and of course that my windows 7 has a better processor & more ram than my XP

With digby you have to have a digsby account first. I have one of those, I've had it since  maybe 2007 but as digsby upgraded it got bad for my XP do i did away with it.

Pidgin works pretty well on the XP.and is a light weight program that works with your common messaging programs. my problem is that I didn't care for how the tabbed messenger box worked  Digsby is much easier.and well Pidgin didn't have facebook..

So I went OLD SCHOOL!.. I downloaded AIM I hadn't used it since AIM 6.0 but i downloaded it finally due to its facebook integration. and it works well. I can either use it as a stand alone facebook messenger. or log in to my Aim accounts with facebook included.  it works PERFECTLY as a stand alone facebook messenger..I love it! ..

 I found that i still have active Aim accounts i haven't used in years. so I logged in and deleted all contacts from the program. aside from that. I still use yahoo for yahoo. on the XP.I don't use Trillian at all. but I sure do recommend Digsby..

I'm not an AIM, MSN or Myspace IM User normally. but Digby gives me a reason to log on to them all. no doubt there are other online/web messengers i've used and i think are great too. but i guess when it comes to instant messaging  i perfer desktop notification rather than being in a window

The Misuse of the term "Ground Zero"

Every time I see a headline or hear someone on the news us "Ground Zero" as a description of the WTC Bomb site. I get angry because it's almost disrespectful to the families of those who died.  "Ground Zero" is a Military term saying "X marks the spot where the bomb has dropped / disaster struck) yet out of ignorance its used freely to describe The WTC Location. IMO  calling it sacred grounds is a Complete display of ignorance. There are other areas in the world where bombs have dropped and are called "ground zero" to this day 

as i mentioned in a past entry. Its all these arguments over  the Mosque.. and folks saying it shouldn't be there because its Sacred Ground. What if those Muslims feel the same way? you're already accusing them of being terrorist by not allowing them to have a place of worship..  The sad part is that There are srip clubs and sex shops in the area and apparently it's okay to have those things there.

I don't think people care about religion or religious beliefs, they only care about worldly goods and gain. I'm a Christian and I sure would feel played if I was denied my right to worship.

About time they upgraded!

Seesmic is a service that supports twitter through different apps its created. It's probably the best app for web/ desktop and for mobile devices. it's the only one i've used as compared to the official twitter app and ubertwitter which i have tried. 

Originially I started with seesmic via web. then desktop apps prior to the time i got my blackberry.. and well I'm glad they recently did an upgrade for my version of the curve. there were better versions for later BB models too so i just had to get it.

Speaking of my blackberry and upgrades. I tried to re-download the blackberry messenger and it once again slowed down my blackberry to the point where it didn't respond at all or was always busy. this time I managed to get the older model of BBM on. the sad part is that i had to remove and redownload the google app from the web. For some reason it tells me i've used up all the space .. but thats never the truth. smh.. BTW, BB Appworld sucks too.

Hero of Time

So I has come to my attention their is a Film in relation to the game. a while bag IGN managed to create a fake trailer as an April Fools joke and it was cool. Maybe even better than the movie that I’m looking into.

From what I know. this movie had no outside support and was released under the name “Hero Of Time”  publically Via Dailymotion.com in 2009 Here’s the Website and a Screenshots below of Ganon and what I'm guessing is a servant.

They’re working on other projects now, but hopefully somebody takes on the idea and brings it to the big screen.

Now all i need is a meal. I’ve been on Blip.fm and pandora listening to music for the past 48 hours just about. now i can go to sleep feeling GREAT!. other than that. I think things are going as planned!. I need to eat something because I’m getting Hungry. I’ll post later

So he didn't run away.

Aight Cheddar  was trapped in the closet, and apparenly my nephew did it. because he was the one that brought it to out attention that cheddar was missing. he was in my brothers room, stuck in the closet. both doors closed. for over 4 hours. thats crazy.

When I got him out I fed hm som roast beeef and watter so he's good.  that sucked for a moment because we all were looking for him

Cheddar ran away

Apparently he got out the gate and went somewhere far because he’s been gon for over 3 hours now to my knowledge. the gate has been locked the whole time, but thats what he does. Hopefully he’ll come back well off. The last time he left, he came back like 30 minutes later. My brother and niece went out to look for him. but he they got nothing out of it.  It’s likely that when it gets dark he’ll return.

I'm trying something new here with my blog, After recently signing on to Blip.fm and with my social feeds all in a bind, I decided to share them at the bottom of my blog. This currently only includes the blip feed and Facebook links. as well as the profile (for now at least).. Generally, this blog IMO is my home site. everything else is secondary to this.

I'm normally on Facebook hats why I decided to share that particular feed.. I may be removing the  a few things from my sidebar as well. such as ads, I haven't generated any incoming revenue for a hot minute. I think that's the one i may remove.the one in the side bar while leaving the ones between entries.


I may be  going lower on displayed blog posts too, I currently have 4 days of blogs on display. That may change to 3 days. or maybe 4 Entries on display. It's all to not only decrease the down-scrolling. but to not have so many entries on one page. all together. Because If I decide do blog 5 in a day, that will just stretch front page more. and to be honest. I'm trying to make this thing appeal more to my readers than myself. while using My way of thinking to figure this out.  I'll get it how i want it though. so I'm good.

As for Blogging.. 

Initially when I began this blog I was putting anything and everything on my blog. mainly about myself or to get things off of my head. but  generally I was really doing what a blogger should do, and that's blog.  But when I realized folks were paying attention. I started writing more about things that I care about on a local and global scale.


In a way, I was trying to get more "Blog readers" rather than a bunch of people who were nosy.. and I've managed to do both. there are people who say "I read your blog".. and its surprises me every time because none of them follow me publicly. and the whole time, that's what I aiming for. Since the beginning of this  I've learned that my opinion is powerful, and that once it's written, the impact more powerful than just saying it verbally..people you mention eventually find themselves reading your stuff. 

There were times where I tried to make my blog more "ME". and I've accomplished that. and  Now with Bloggers new features, It's made it much easier to customize without having to go through too much of coding. 

With the up-rise of social networks, people have jumped on somewhat of a timeline bandwagon, nobody wants to blog, or discuss anything with substance. they only want their voices heard. and that's not the reason I have a blog. I have a blog for social interactions and Truth is. My blog has had a positive impact on my life Over time I've learned to be a better blogger because of it..

To Finish this off, all I can say is.. Pardon my Sharing, because I'm making strides to make it live! ... and you can pronounce "live" it either way to get the point.

I’m in need of a new camera

I need to invest in a new photo camera, I don’t know if i mentioned this. but at that Battle with GHASB and N.O. I dropped my photo camera and now i can’t focus because the shutter button doesn’t work properly. I can still take pictures. but the button is stuff and I’m going to hate working with it. 

I can take pictures with the video cam, but that is hard. I don’t want to HAVE to do that. it’s a shame because I’ve only had that camera for  little over a full year. It seems like that’s happens all the time. In fact. I’ve had the cam for both parade season 09 and 10. in fact It was brand new in 2009 so yeah. only a little over a year and 1 drop made it dysfunctional. SMH

I’ve been with Fuji Film for so long, I think I want to get a Canon. that’s mainly because everyone is using Nikon, but other than that I don’t think I’m going to be using Fujifilm again. The quality of those cams are great. but folks doubt my work based on the cam i’m using.  Yet NOBODY uses them.. lol I think I’m good. Not good enough. but i do think i’m good.

I have to do better.  I think that it’s going to be my first goal. save up at least 1600 and get me a PC and Digital SLR. That goal will be reached b4 Next parade season.

Another Mission Semi Complete

All I need to do is make my way to The Ocean to get that done. I talked to one of the assistants and I was actually shown pictures of the New Uniforms recently. I was asked not to post the pictures until an hour before the LDC.  so I won’t be doing that until then.

I asked if I could come and take a picture in a suit. although It wasn’t direct answer. it was slightly okayed.  He’s going to let me know when I am able to do that. So I said. that I’ll get with him him next time I make my way around the school.  Once that happens I’ll call up J so she can show up to take a few pictures with me. hopefully that will happen soon. and then the Mission will be complete.

With that said, She’s my only real option from a friendship standpoint. There’s no current dancer that I would really want to take a picture with. Maybe P.Lowe because she’s cool. If i had to choose one from my era it would be Val or J. and because I’m close friends with J. she’s first preference by default.

Basics

Aight, for a while now my dad has been stressing and has made it clear many times that he thinks that i should start taking this computer basics course that they went through a while back. because i’m so good with these things.  He thinks that they’ll probably hire me if i were to go and show them that I’m already skilled. I honestly don’t think it’ll work that way.

In a way I wouldn’t mind because I’ll be out of the house. on the other end. I’ve thought people how to do this stuff. and I dont think there’s any real certification involved with this course.  yet that's what my dad assumes. 

My only question is, Why should i go and take up something i already know? in a way I don’t need approval. that may sound  big headed of me. but I’m serious. when it comes to the basics and common sense issues concerting PC's. I’m  well off.. I think it would bore me to death if I was taking a course learning how to do things i already know how to do.

As for me. there are things that I want to do that i can’t do but i really don’t appreciate being told that i should take a basics course by someone who took this course already and still needs my help when doing things.  I’m Tired of waiting to be honest. I’m tired of being here. I want to begin my life again to the aspect of making money and saving. during my time in Houston. I felt like i ran the show, here I'm just being somebody to lean on. and I don’t like it. at this point. when I make this move. It’s going to be a Shift in every bodies plate. and they’re gonna start blaming me for everything. but I won’t care. because at that point they’re all going to realize how they’ve been using me.

I will say something when it’s my time to say it. but it’s going to be after I do what i have to do to make an impact in my home.

I guess the weather is going to be just that bad

The School Systems here have cancelled class, yet my nephew’s first day is supposed to be tomorrow. I think they’ve cancelled classes too. Crazy huh? . makes me feel the need to prepare myself for the next big named storm to hit.I don’t know though, I don’t think the weather’s going to be that bad.

When I was in school we rarely just skipped out on a rainy day schedule. .. I’m just sayin’

That Other Music

Earlier today on my Facebook page a few of my friends got into a heated argument while giving their opinions  about a band playing the Bed Intruder song. I actually posted it as a blog but the video hasn’t uploaded yet .. and its likely when it finishes it will be posted at an earlier time frame so I’ll just link you to the video Here. 

Basically, after sharing it to my page. after 2 opinions opposing the song. saying that  a band playing it is glorifying ignorance on many levels.  some time after  Corey came in calling those who opposed “idiots”. that was very much uncalled for.

Now In My Opinion. I fell that the song is just a song. In fact. its more less a news report turned “how to catch a predator” tune. Its not even a parody. it’s just an auto tuned mix of the actual thing.  But folks have gotten mixed messages since it came out.  I just think its wild that a band is playing it. and it does sound good.

On bandhead,org members are jokingly insisting that that AAMU’s band should play it and have Antoine Dodson  along with his sister to sing it with the band. that would be funny.

Aside from that…

FANTASIA?.. C’mon Chick Live Your Life!
after seeing the reports and talking to Kandace about this situation earlier. All i can say to this is that. It’s messed up. She’s got too much going for her to try to end it that way. Maybe her personal life has gotten out of hand, but it’s nothing to attempt suicide over. in a way it was almost selfish to do…. That Is IF she was really trying to kill herself.  From the time she won Idol she’s been in to alot of stuff on the entertainment scene. but i guess her personal situations have stressed her out just that much.

I honestly hopes she gets well on her feet and rethinks everything she gets in. my heart goes out to her and I wish her even more success. because life is hard.. but at the same time. a Suicide attempt has got to be the dumbest thing ever.

Looks like I’m gonna be making somebody’s shirt design. I’m not really good at it. I just know how to do it effectively.
I’ve been working on a PC.. well not really, I just let it sit there because I can’t get anything done.
I realized that V. Mitchell is back on the sport. I’m about to unban his old name in a minute because If he’s gonna post. he might as well let it be known that it’s him.
I’ve been ineffectively burring movies. yep. No Sound. SMH.. i guess its the format of video as compared to audio codec’s. but i wouldn’t know.

Bandhead Critiquing: Some just cant take it.

Although this has been ongoing for years and years. I just had to state it one good time on the forum. and although it applies to every debate on the site. I specifically placed this in the recent Doll Vs J-Sette Thread on the site simply because This argument like many others in the past has gotten out of hand. This is simply because these folks can’t take the opinions of rival fans. They are also overlooking general standards of The Art. while making these comparisons.  with that said. Here’s what I had to say.

This forum was made specifically for the purpose of Comparison Contrasts.
We all state our opinions, majority is based on fact, therefore there will forever be a debate.

But Here's where we all fail. you all want to be 100% right when there is no answer.

If 2 dance teams do everything completely differently. the the General Argument should only be based on Common standards of Dance and how they apply those techniques. Aside from that Each team has their own standards that only team members know of.. You all may see the Visual but you don't Truly KNOW why they do it the way they do.

With that said. It's Not about a Doll Strut versus the Prance of a J-Sette. That's just how they decide to March.. .

To use Bands for an example: Musical & Marching Terminology is the same across the board. each band applies these things differently. and has their own styles and standards. So when you watch these bands do similar things, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're copying or doing something Wrong. They're just following Traditional standards of their program.

With that said.. You can either LIKE it or DISLIKE IT.. It's YOUR OPINION. There's no reason to Call somebody out just because they have an opinion.

we all should be Critiquing about the basics and standards across the board Not Bashing each other because our our opinions as it relates to these organizations.

That's all i have to say about that.

Started Something! “Who Dun It First”

I just posted some classic Texas Southern band pictures from the bands facebook album. and because I simply stated that The Ocean introduced the Circle drill to the SWAC, The debate has begun. Now There were some facts posted by RJ, but this caused another old schooler “Greyskull” to say that SU’s been doing the circle drill since before Doc was directing.  that would also mean that the it was pre jukebox &  show style at SU
It was discussed via Facebook last week between Myself Daniel and Dixon that these directors were well bent on out doing each other in the 60’s and 70’s because they were so close. along with the fact that they both were introduced to the drill styles by the bands up north.  
I want this thread on the sport to get Rowdy. because IMO its a healthy debate, worthy of the discussion of historical facts. LOL

so this dude hits me up today saying that I hurt the girl feelings.. NO NO NO BRUH!…  How could I hurt her feelings if i wasn’t the one who started this mess. she came to me because this dude.. talking about a Surprise. I don’t play them games man… that’s not what where this was headed anyway. I don’t get this dude. 

Why would you tell somebody that I like them, and turn it around at me as if I did something wrong.  That aint my problem.  I don’t get at all..

I’ve Heard of it before it was free, but I never used it because I rarely use hotmail. in fact my hotmail gets redirected to gmail and usually those are  Microsoft promotional letters anyway.

By the looks of it, this sit similar to google docs, which is another servicei don’t use. otherwise it’s equal to what box.net does with zoho.  you get 25 gigs of space too. good stuff.

Otherwise, at this point. I see that it’s mainly done to to enhance sharing through live.com profiles. good stuff though.

with that said. I actually have alot being shared through windows live, but it only goes to those I’m connected to. seems like every social media site connects to the next. It’s what I call The Internet on the Internet.

Ain’t Got time for all that playin

So earlier today I was talking to Tramaine via Facebook because he asked me about info from a school. afterwards he goes on to say some ole fruity stuff like “i got a surprise for you”… I ignored that post. Low and behold, I get a message from a girl named Angelle who we both attended high school with.  she asks “Did you talk to Tramaine?, he told me you asked about ne earlier”… I said No…  because I didn’t ..

That was the end of that conversation because I have no interest in her. Tramaine on the other hand is an Anus for putting me out like that. I never mentioned her name ever. in fact I didn’t know her name in high school.  The dude likes to be dumb. I just don’t understand it.  Seems like every time I'm having a good day. this dude just ruins the moment.

It’s one reason I don’t tell him anything now. The Last time he did me that some girl cussed me out in front of a crap load of negroes and they were all like “how u let her talk to u like that”..  cause apparently it made me “fake” . This is why I don’t play those games. but these fools steadily try to test me. but i don’t let it get to me. I never forget it. because they think its funny. but I don’t appreciate that at all. because in many ways it’s like being rejected.

With that said, I don’t understand why he would do me that, now this girl thinks I like her. I don’t play them kind of games man… I just don’t.

Eyes are Blue, But You Aint White

So I was looking at some pictures of a party Via Facebook, which included models, both male and female.  The females were getting painted up on many of the pictures. they were all beautiful females no doubt. but one of them was a darker woman with blue eyes.  she was in multiple pictures and is a beautiful. but why the blue contacts?  That looks just as crazy as anyone wearing red or white contacts.

As a Man, I can deal with things women do regarding how they groom themselves, But Colored contacts are not natural, and I can’t stand the fakeness. My Niece and sisters have tendencies to wear grayish contacts.  but that’s them. I really don’t care for it. it’s just what they do. I guess they think its cute.  I don’t think its cute at all. Cute is for babies, if you’re a grown BLACK woman, you should enjoy yourself in your natural state.

Every Morning we all have to wake up and get ourselves prepared for the day. or what ever it is that we’re going to do  for the moment. But when you have to put your eyes in your head everyday, it says that you don’t like what you see in your own self image. I could understand if you’re Modeling and it’s part of your “get-up” but if you really walk around daily thinking that every male will be interested in your false appearance, something is wrong with you.

As for me, I’m not a fan of things that don’t look natural, there are things that I don’t mind and as I said earlier that I have to deal with. but odd colored eyes will never be one of them. Maybe there are some blacks who were born with blue eyes. but if its in their genes that’s just who they are. we all aren’t pure black. but our traits stand out clearly amongst other races. I’m an advocate of being who an individual, but If you’re one of those people who spend time pretending to be someone that you’re not. nobody will take you seriously. I love my black people no mater how they decide to groom themselves. But you have dark skin, with blonde or bronzed up hair with blue eyes; you weren’t born that way. who are you?

11 Picture Texts? Why?

Yesterday My Cousin hit me up via Txt at 7am “You Up” .. I didn’t respond. Note: I know he was going to my kinfolks Repast or whatever but I didn’t bother to answer the phone; Mainly because I wasn’t going.  So I’m here chillin’ today, minding my own business and I get these 11 Picture Texts from him. Why? Because he wants me to upload them to facebook for him.  .. C’mon dude!! I Volunteered the first time because you needed help. That doesn’t mean to send me pics every time you take it. I won’t be uploading all of that.

Last week he did the same thing. Pics of random girls he had in his phone. I just cut my phone off that time.. Today I took my battery out  in hopes that the pics don’t come through. well, they came through alright. All 11 of them.  Why?.

What I don’t get is, He can go on facebook from his phone, but he doesn’t know how to upload them directly to facebook from his phone.. That’s dumb.  I’m not  here to do favors for you.

5 years ago I was doing the same thing for him on Blackplanet. Uploading pic’s and writing answering messages. FOR WHAT??? Those girls don't want him. I sit up here and shake my head at how he writes to them or on their walls.  I’m going to delete all 11 of these pictures from my phone. I he doesn't realize that i have to download the pics to my pc b4 i put them on his page. He should be able to do this directly from his phone.. smh
