Time Flies

Only a day away before we head to Florida, It’s going to take like 3 hours to get to the state.. after that. nearly 8 hours to get to Orlando. This is the first time I’ll be there, Hopefully we get to stop by the impact zone at Universal Studios. So many sights to see, so much to do.  only like 3 full days of fun.. I hope this all does us well..

I plan on taking Hundreds of pictures… yeah that’s basically it!.. and video too!. which reminds me, today i have to unleash all that footage for Johnny.  I’ll see about doing that so he can have it fast!.. I’ll see about getting that done b4 Wednesday.

Lets hope this trip goes without error… I’m taking the cameras! gotta charge’em up!.. it’s gonna be a Loooooooong Day today..lol

Grooveshark VIP Member! HA!

After All these years of using Grooveshark, I finally dud what i should have done along time ago… Well to be honest. I took enough Surveys to become a grooveshark VIP member. but now i can actually use the desktop app as well view the site with no Ads. I actually closed my Blip.fm account because i started using Grooveshark again.

My boy mike says he likes Grooveshark over Pandora…  That’s cool the services are completely different. Grooveshark being more of a playlist creator with a Radio.  Pandora being just a radio… They’re both great and i’ll use them both. but Now i guess i’ll be on Grooveshark more often! HA!

It’s time to start looking.

I’ve been “Searching” but it’s time to get up! for real. I think maybe if i go to Harrah’s i’ll land a job doing something!. it’s what i need to be doing. just SOMETHING that would make my day a whole lot better.  I got to make moves to get it all in order. It’s not happening fast enough because I’ve been Idle for so long.  I need something more..  I must make moves! .. ahhh man! lol It’s the only way to get it all done!.

I might just skip it all

there are a lot of events that i need to be at dealing with band, but I won’t be going simply because of the fact that I need dental work. This has been on my mind all week. I contacted a dental facility online to check up on that. I sent a message as well. I may have to walk over there Monday.

after seriously looking at my grill, I noticed many issues. the Dentist will likely notice more. I can feel it i know when they get to me, they’ll address them.   All and all. I need my whole top front Crowned.  I hope i’ll be able to have that done.  I really need a job so I can get that done real soon too.  if not I’ll be like 35 with no teeth. that’s not a good look.  Yet having Gold or silvers isn’t either.  If there was a way i can get porcelain crowns. that would do me well.

The Problem:  These places like to get their money up front. yet I don’t have any deltal /health Insurance, I don’t have a steady income. unless i resort to seriously start fixing pc’s on call. or daily.   I really need to do something about this before they all just rot out.. I need a Job!

Another Legend Gone: Gil Scott-Heron

subconsciously I’ve hearing this mans music & poetry all my life. \Whether it be through other artists or via Television ad or some other form of Media, I had heard his words and his voice. But It was After Katrina where I I was Formally Introduced to Gil Scott Heron’s music From a Militant Fellow who’s name I will not mention.  Gil Scott Heron’s Music  played a big roll in my Comfort while in  living Houston because of it.

Day by day, I found myself Listening to his music & His Poetry and it opened my mind to some stuff i had paid no attention coming up. it was almost like he was telling the story of the average youth of the ghetto. I liked his music His music made me think.. It gave me a piece of mind, it was funny. It was Relevant!   Seems like every time i played his music folks would ask? “What do you know about That music” … I’d tell them what i know and they’d be surprised.   I liked his music

Gil Scot Heron was suffering with HIV, An Alcoholic, A Drug addict, Domestic violence issues. basically had lots of trouble with the law. He survived all that for years, it finally caught up with him i guess.

Hearing of his death is shocking, but i knew he was in bad shape since i’ve known of him.

I Need some Dental Work

My Teeth are bad. one of my fronts has a cavity in the front. i think that’s beyond repair. I wish i could get it capped. I have 3 broken teeth in the back of my mouth 2 need to be removed now!. This sucks. I’m gonna be toothless in another 2 years because of it!  I really need to get this stuff checked now to save the front one..

It seems like when I brush. things break loose.. it’s just that weird. sometimes i feel it other times i dont. I really need to see an a dental surgeon or something. sux man… i just dont want to have a front tooth missing…  it may require my four fronts to all get capped or something.

Preparing for a Trip

I’m preparing take a Trip. 2 weeks from now I’m heading to Orlando. yesterday I went shopping in perpetration.as much as I hate to wear shorts, I had buy some. First I went to Academy, should have went to Sports Authority though because There was nothing there. the only thing that caught my attention were some Brazos Boots & Spats. I don’t wear Brazos, I like  Magnum Boots… Which has little to do with anything..lol

I went looking for Swimming Trunks, I went to Burlington Coat Factory got 2 pair. I also got a random pair of shorts to wear. All i need to do now is head to walmart to get some other things.  What’s crazy is I randomly went to Kmart and found some pants in my size The funny part is, The pants i bought, were the same ones my brother had on…   and then.. TACOS!!…

man.. I got alot to do when i get back too. but first i need o make money…. It’s about that time folks!

People Play too Much

I don't like when folks play on my phone because its stupid. But yesterday, I thought it was funny. Why? Because a Girl called me from an Unknown number .. I hate when people do that..… But Here’s How our conversation went… It had me laughing for a while.

I got a call from some random girl claiming to be a Mother of my Junior. I thought tramline put her up to this so i asked “Where’s tramline and who are u?" .. but i got nothing other than “i don’t know Tramaine but i do know where u used to say”  . She even mention people grew up with. The funny thing is she couldn't remember my last name. LOL  Anyway. She claimed that she had I got her pregnant b4 Katrina.. in the superdome LOL!!!!!!!!……   I was I like U GOT THE WROING JOSH CAUSE I HAVE NO KIDS! ..LOL   but the whole thing  was funny because she was like I know all ya people and them Papers are coming to ya… 

that whole episode was funny. all I'm trying to figure out is who it could be. because I don't talk to anybody from my old hood at all.  .. But because it was funny I stood on the phone till she hung up.

… Although It was funny to me.. I sure do hate it when folks just play on my phone… I’m glad that this time it wasn't a fruit.. the only other person that could have set all that up was my sister.. smh. …lol  I even wrote something like “on the phone with my baby mama” on Facebook just to see who responds. and it got 2 likes.. one probably thought it had something to do with the Bethany thing.. lol Noooo! lol

That Which Breaks Me

Unlike the many other entries I've posted in regard to the people around me. At this point I just want to reflect on myself. but unlike many other posts where I link my issues to other people are things I’m simply going to go in to detail about The things that keep me from achieving the things that I want to do.  All starting with Myself. Not necessarily Blaming myself. but Taking Ownership of the things I do and do not do. that eventually must make up for Really soon. or else I might go Crazy …lol j/k

At this Point In my life There are things that I have yet to accomplish, The Bad part is that I’m doing nothing about it. I rarely even talk directly about them unless I'm writing in here. Sad right? well hey/ When I was in Houston, I talked about what i wanted to do when I got home and why I want to do it… Part of that reason is because of the stereotypical aspect of the Black Man of New Orleans.

I wanted to be the man to defeat the odds. Yet when I got here. I was so Wrecked to the point that I just Gave up on the things I wanted to do.   Asde from that, Nothing was Here for me to do or get in to.. Now There are many things here to do. on my part I haven’t made the effort to get things done.  Why? well I always look at who i am and what I don't have or cant do and use it as the reason that i CANT do what i Need… Yet just like I've said before I always get to seem to do what I want to do…. and That’s the Crazy part about it. because doing what I want to do is keeping me Broke, Dependent and In my own World of Loneliness. And the reason nobody cares is because nobody knows how I really feel about being here.

My Recent Works  will come in due time. but I need to get things done to make it happen the way it SHOULD happen. … In My Opinion, I feel that I Owe my parents every dime they’ve offered me in the past 5 years. I’ve been Slightly looking for a Job to take care of my needs but it’s not working because I'm being picky about the things i do..  The reason as i mentioned before is because I don’t have a car, I can’t drive and I don't get up, get out and go.. But That’s all my fault.

The Things That Break me are the things I'm in somewhat of a denial of. I have to put this here to get it off my chest.. One of those things is Nostalgia. Although I always talk about people holding on to what was in the past or trying to Relive those moments now. I’m technically doing the same thing By Limiting myself to and staying within the boundaries of the bands. This is one of the reasons I've been slowly trying to step away from the front line of making myself available for those events.  

But It’s not Only Band, it’s Past time favorites, it Consciously effects me through my dreams and then waking up to the same thing over and over again. The Irony of this was talking about the Red Pill / Blue Pill Situation in the matrix (which i don't need to go in to detail on). But basically it’s about making choices in live that will effect my future for the better. I even saw a video about that on YouTube recently.

Another thing would be Doing what I Want to do. I rarely leave the house if i don’t feel like doing anything. But there are days where i just need to leave this place and I don't.. Such as today. a BEAUTIFUL DAY where i i could be out taking picture or filming.. Or a Monday where I could be out looking for a job. a way to make money to Support  my future ventures and hobbies.

I really hate that people think I make money doing what I’m doing. I am a popular dude but I don’t have much of an ego about. My self assurance level is very low. but when I’m encouraged, it feeds my ego. I like it, but everything seems to go wrong once its all built up.  It’s only a temporary thing. because I’d come back to my senses and realize that I am nothing, I am nobody, I am only a persona in which I’ve created for myself. In my opinion, in my mind I am a failure to my family. I am no better than the next man. yet I don’t like to see when others are down. It’s why I love helping folks out.. The Problem with that is.. Help doesn’t equal compensation.

Unlike many others, I don’t take credit for lots of the things i have done. or I'd blow it off as something minor. But at the end of the day other than a temporary happiness, I get nothing out of it. I’ve stated in the past that it’s all about Action. but My only actions or Inaction has kept me running in circles. The problem Re-Occurs because I allow it to happen. The Solution starts with me.

My goal is to defy all of these things , not by getting over them. but my doing what I NEED to do.. what I Must do to make myself a better man. or or to live up to that persona that was built upon myself. because if not. I’ll remain someone of Little Importance.

I’m tired of waiting for the opportunity, tired of being the man everybody goes to to fix their problems when i can’t fix my own. The few good friends, I to them about these things and they know. on my part i guess it may come off as wining or excuses. and that’s why i have to get beyond that.. Man I'm almost 27. I should be doing more with myself. every time I think of it. I think of dropping “The Book” so to speak.

I don’t like to ask for help, I don’t like to beg. but I need all the help i can get. Positive motivation. because negative reasons just keep me away from doing everything. everybody seems to have something negative to say about what i do or want to do. all i care about is making my situation work for me.  all it takes for me is to get up and go do something Productive and while limiting my time spent on something that I should consider being a pastime favorite.  It’s something hard to do but I’m slowly moving away from it..

Overall. I just want to take my talents and make it work for me, to get paid for it. and to get up and out of this household and Restart the process of education.  I plan to start small and finish Big, Hopefully it works for me.  But I just got to man up and Take the action to get there. This whole standing still doesn’t do me any good .. I’ll blog some time later. but I’m done for now. I’m about to get up here and try to figure out how to take over the world… while listening to Pandora and playing Cityville. LOL <—Shame right?! yep!.. I’m out.

All that Extraness aint cool…

I ran cross some Bad photography work from random photographers as of late. the sad part is, they make money doing it and I don’t. but in all fair criticism.  one of the guys take great pics, but his editing skills suck.  how could you try and manipulate somebody's waste line and get the whole body discombobulated.. yet you think its cool. i mean yeah. slight enhancements DO work and look good. but dang THAT was just overdone.

In another area, i saw another photographers work. it was Horrible, but because he’s on the Model mayhem site asking for Nude models, They’re giving him what he wants.. why? not because he’s a good photog.. because if that was the case he wouldn’t have so many requirements. LOL. other than that//  He takes PLAIN pictures of girls in the nude. i could have taken girls nude pics with an Iphone. i think this guy’s a fraud!!.

I’m a fan of people photography whether enhanced or not. but overdoing it takes away from the shot more than it adds to a persons appearance.  The irony is that i was just talking to someone about that. Photoshopping work is a great thing.. but I’d rather capture the naturalness and be on with it…when I edit its only because i want to make the shot look cool .. but manipulate body parts is too much..  It just doesn’t work all the time.

Walmart | Bonose’s most controversial Video to date

This video has taken the nation by storm. the Hits are by over 520,000 and  a load of mixed reviews The things got Just as many Likes as it does Dislikes. OVER 3000 each  That’s crazy to me. I think It’s a smart on part of Bonose though because in the end, it’ll make him look more popular as a film maker

Folks are saying that they’re ashamed and and the most popular is that it reverses the civil rights struggle…

IMO i think folks need to lighten up. it’s just a Bounce song.. That meanss it’s was created be danced too and its Humorous. I personally could care less about the video or song but it is way better any other bounce tunes out there right now or in the past 5 years for that matter.

I’m here in the house with my nephew. it’s like 85 degrees in here. I could have left but im waiting on the landlord to send someone over.. it seems as though Air is leaking through…. sad to say it that way LOL. but  its  just that hot LOL.. i think the dogs realize that because of how they’re roaming the place.. it’s cooler outside. thats crazy LOL..

Randy’s Brother Lanny “The Genius” Poffo, talked with TMZ.com Confirming That Macho Man had a heart attack while driving. His Vehicle hit a tree.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage one of the all time greats of the 80’s & 90's where he captured the goal and global fame during his time in WCW and WWF.

Everybody from the Superstars to the Fans are sharing the Links to the news, as well as their condolences  regarding his passing.

And then there are times when….

You Know, There are just things we cant control. sometimes you have to hope for the best. I’m saying this because of the situations in and around my family whether good or bad, Extended or close. I really don’t want to speak Directly of any of these situations, but I am acknowledging them in some form just to get it off my head.

Its almost like the family doesn’t get a break when things go right, other things go wrong. some things happen in due time.. others just randomly happen… Like i said, all is not always bad, yet the bad things seem to outweigh the good. 

Most Recently, Two of my relatives are in situations that they only can defend themselves on. One regarding a situation that happened earlier this year, the other is possibly a false claim altogether. Neither situation is related and I really don’t know much about one of them But I Hope the truth is comes out and things go right.

In light of all the things I’m supposed to be doing.

I Haven't gotten any sleep last night. I should have. But I was up Wasting time as usual. I almost forgot i had an event to to today. Hopefully i can take a power nap and get up at about 4 because I have to be ready to get up to film a middle school concert band event.

Speaking of film. I have yet to start my portfolio.. but i have many ideas. one of the reasons is due to the PC Repair services and generally trying to approach my audience which are New Orleans residents. I only plan on charging flat rates. between 25 and 75 dollars on average deepening on the service. Once i get that down pact. on to the photo portfolio.

I have yet to find a free host that’s worth trying. other than using a blog. I’ve even looked at tips on starting a portfolio site and i only got little info.  I may have to someday pay for those services. I just don't want to upload every photo I have to Facebook anymore. It’s what expected of me. 

Branching off into other areas of this media will be a slow but hopefully well off journey. I’m not the best at this but I’ll try to make it happen. I’ll try to get some rest and get ready. I have  less than 3 hours to get some good sleep.

1. Tested out the Camera Time after Time
2. Started A Web Page to Host the services I will be soon providing.  It took me Hours to try to come up with a subdomain name. 2 days actually. I just stuck with what I’ve been using.
3. Researching Information on Everything to make this site as informal as possible.
4. Looking for an Online Portfolio Host, I Found a Few, but wasn’t 100% Satisfied with how the services work. There was one or two that i loved, I may try them.
5. Excluded Facebook Pages from my Gallery
6. Looked up More Info.
7. Prior to all of the Above, I talked to 1st Sgt. about practicing, He told me about a Lens rental place.. I’ll look in to it.
8. Still learning the tricks of the trade.
9. Hadn’t been to sleep in 2 days.
10. Uploaded Two Sample Pics compete with a watermark (shown beneath this list)
11. Talked to my Cousin about getting a lighting kit…
12. spent time Contemplating on how this is all going to work out for me.

And All I can say to this is that.. It’s about to get REAL!

 

 

The T2i’s Great!…

The Challenge is on!

Today I tested the camera, It’s pretty nice. I love everything about it. All i need is a lense for wide shots and I’m good. otherwise I think i have all i need to make things happen right!

It’s going to be a Learning experience, I told Gerard today that it’s the first time i really had to use a camera where the viewfinder wasn’t the LCD screen.  All I need to do is learn how to focus manual. Autofocus is a beast though. The challenge is on!

I just got through talking to my Frat Nakia about what he was doing. even though he just started out he gave me a few pointers on getting things started. For now, I’m gonna take time to know the camera. and then make it happen!. 

LOL The Pressure is on and The World is Turning.. But It’s Time To Make It Happen!

That’s my cousin, He asked for my number there due to the fact that i ignore his calls and texts…  He sends me loads of Picture Texts and then write “put that on Facebook”  .. I just ignore them texts. he doesn’t realize that it’s easier if he does it himself.

With out me, He and a lot of other peoples lives would be miserable. 

Birds Gone Wild

Apparently 2 of the birds that are fairly common in my neighborhood has made their way in to my home. One was in the Bathroom The other in the Kitchen. It took about an hour to get them out. I didn’t want to hurt them so I just played loud music, one left, the other stayed.   As the other went into the curtains for a second time i took a broom and swept him out the door, he just flew off at that point.

I think they were in my home trying to get cool or something…. LOL  It’s like, i went to use the restroom and it just came out of nowhere! ..lol i turned off the air, opened the doors and went to Work trying to get it out of the house!  LOL

Wow, I just realized that blogger came back up … this is only after I had a slight power outage in N.O. Due to all of this Mississippi water Rising  Discussion.

Apparently there will be a power outage and if that’s the case, it’ll be out for a very long time  until the waters decrease. We experienced one of those power surges about 5 minutes ago. Now Im back at the PC. I have to see what posts i did after the  “Old Guard” entry so I can republish them.  Thanks to Live Writer These blog entries are saved on my PC prior to posting. .. I’ll  wait to see if they do the restoration before I do the Repost.

Rapture Party?! WOW!

Apparently we have a new date that the “End of the World” Begins to take place. May 21, 2011. and the hype about it is crazy. This is funny. I’m gonna take this time to just say I’m a Non-Believer in May 21st.. LOL The funny party is The Rapture party or the “Left Behind Party”. I first read about this on the American Zombie Blog when I heard about this party. With me putting all my Religious beliefs aside. … I think the whole thing is funny!.

What’s odd is that the the whole May 21st thing is the 2nd Time i heard about it this week. My Lil brother told me about how kids at the school were talking about the date. and now a “Left Behind Party”..That Takes the cake.

Silence 2011

I Started writing this when Blogger was down,  While so, I’ll make it my duty to write here now.I Was in the Midst of Publishing the entry about the rapture party  when I realized Blogger was down… It’s still down as I’m typing.  It’s 4:46. It was down originally on the 9th for Updates but is down officially as of YESTERDAY to roll back the issues faced with the recent updates. causing blogger to erase posts that were created prior to the update.

I was on Twitter and folks are talking about moving to wordpress…. I like word press myself, but not as much as blogger. maybe it’s due to brand loyalty or something. I actually have a word press account. I planned on using it in the past as Community blog. but nah. I’m good with that.. I think I’ll hit the sack right now because i have that cam coming in and i want to be up all day with it when it gets here ..LOL

The Old Guard Is Back At It Again

I’m About to do a new Line of Slaw Busters Inc. Recruits.
The Name of this line will likely be … Well That Cant Be Revealed Until They’re Official Members  of The Group.  The Selection Process is currently taking place and The name are there. It’s just a matter of when we inform them that they’re In line  as well as coming up with everything they have to do to make the it.

Generally, It’s all about Current activity on the site …. that’s about all.

Believe it or not, Last night I ordered a Camera Bundle from Amazon, So By the fall I’ll be good to go. After showing Gerard the camera model this morning, he insisted i ordered another build of the camera. but by then the camera had been ordered and shipped.  It will be here before the weekend. isn’t that great?!

It’s a  Canon EOS Rebel T21.

It’s a Consumer cam but of course the quality is great. I was watching some video  reviews and the camera looks wonderful. i may also have to use it to record. but i don’t think i it would be the in the best interest of myself. .. I might as well bring both cameras along.  That’s a lot of baggage but it’s a start.

As for the website. I’ve been looking at free easy setup hosting, like webs or weebly where i don’t really HAVE to set up a page.  Aside from that, I do have an old blog that i can use as a page until then. LOL At this point it’s time to get my information together.

After talking to more friends and trying to Rethink a new name. I decided to keep the one i already have It will come together in Due Time. as for now. its only about creating a decent subdomain name.

Until Then, I have to go back to the basics, Re-Evaluate my own work. and then put the good stuff out!.

It’s got me thinking… ACTION!

To Act Upon My Craft is Not Easy, I’ve only made Little effort to do as I do. otherwise, It’s nothing happening on my end.  I know this sounds confusing to you all but I’ll make sense when it happens.  

From the time i started doing computer repair, Pictures and Video. I’ve rarely gotten paid for anything I do. I don’t ask for compensation I just do it. Most recently I’ve been charging folks for PC repair. but It never works out as planned.  As for Photography and Filming. These are things I do on my own or with the Band site, for free. I don’t charge folks Nor do i claim to be a photographer due to all the situations that prevent me from getting clientele on my own.

Generally People love my work, folks love what I do, and They want me to do things, they even encourage me to take the steps to make it happen.  Folks even Ask me for advice. but my advice is only limited to what i know. 

At this point after holding a long convo with a friend of mine. I think it’s time to apply my knowledge and make situations work right for me so that I can start making money.  The Goal is to Do Now and prepare for Greater and bigger things.  It’s all on me.  All It takes Is to apply my knowledge. advertise and Just DO it.   It’s the only way it will work.

In My Case,  What’s stopping me is none other than Myself. My Assurance Level and Self Confidence is Low. So It makes me feel like Doing it won’t work.  But it won’t hurt me to try. I Have nothing to lose. The Hindrances for me are Things like transportation and equipment.  I know this for a fact. It’s time that I do something about it and stop waiting on a miracle because it won’t happen for me that way.

It’s Been a Year Since The Loss of B. Franklin

Brandon Franklin was a man with a plan to succeed in live and it was all taken away from him one year ago Today. And Not A Day Has gone by without him on the minds of those who knew him.  Brandon’s Legacy Lives Strong within The Band Community.

I Met Brandon back in 2005 one night on the Corner of Bourbon Street & Canal where he  performed with the TBC Brass Band. As they stopped to take a break, I went to greet them All. At that time, I had known most of the members of the TBC Brass Band so Brandon was a new face to me. and I was surprised because they finally had a Saxophone player…. and a good sax player at that!

After that Acquaintance I had only seen Brandon with With Walker’s Band or With TBC. I’ve only talked to him a few times briefly on occasion. Other than that, It was All Work and Music for him.  but when we did talk it always was something Band related or Video taping because that’s how we knew each other.

The Last time talked him was only 2 weeks before he was killed, Walker’s band was performing for Tipitina’s Instrument’s-A-Comin’ Benefit , I believe Brandon Himself had performed that night as well. The Last performance in Town before Walker’s band went off to Atlanta to perform. I had no clue would be the last time I'd ever get to see him.

I got the news of his death Via Facebook from his fellow band mate Bernard, TBC Tuba Player who  mentioned it in  his Facebook status.  Seems like The Very next day Everybody in the Band Community Knew of His Death. When The News got out. Everyone were Shocked and Angered by it.  Not only because he was Killed, But because it happened in front of his Child.

As Tragic as it was. It brought a large community of bandsmen together to perform in his honor. In both Marching Band as well as Brass Band “Second Line” Fashion. There’s even a Documentary which unknowingly captured what was to be the final 2 years of his life.  Not only that, The Brass band Community as well as his family and friends are still grieving in his memory.

If Only he could have lived to see what has been done in his honor. Much Respect to all who put those events together in his honor. hopefully someday his son can grow up and fulfill a dream that was taken away from his father.

Without My Rifle, I Am Nothing.

No I don’t have a Gun, I’ve been Watching Jarhead which had little to do with the Gulf War, But the lives of Soldiers going through Training and becoming a Marine as the Gulf War takes place. If you haven’t seen it. It’s one of the greatest movies of the decade Maybe because it’s based on a real life situation. that’s why i feel that way..

I’ve been watching that movie for the past few days.. I’ve even quoted it on Twitter and Facebook a few times. Another reason I love that movie is because it reminds me of The being in the band, especially in high school.  just surrounding the discipline it takes to perform your duties and the things you have to go through to make your band work.

Many Narrative lines make perfect sense to me. And Jaime Fox’s Character was The Most Awesome In fact, The first Staff Sgt. at the beginning of the movie was IMO equal to that of WWE Legend Sgt. Slaughter. The Movie’s Also Great from a Motivational Standpoint. I wonder if it has a soundtrack. I may have to look that up.

Saturday Love…

I Spend The Day Messing With  Sasquatch( as in My Facebook Friends). In fact, I Was up over night that’s how my day began.. sometime in mid day I went in to Hibernation. when I got up, 8 calls missed and Here’s The reason. This Morning at like 6am I Texted Bethany to see what she was up to. She just so happened to be going through some personal issues with her babies daddy. we talked about that for a while.. she says I brightened her day because of it …. 

After talking about some random stuff, she decided that she was going to change her relationship status on Facebook to “In A Relationship” with me. Since then, we both have been Joked out thinking of the old times as well as laughing at folks who are believing it.  No less than 5 minutes of the name change, I was getting “Likes” and Comments to that status change.

See, Before today, My relationship status hadn’t been visible I made it visible on purpose. We both have done this like 3 times in the but nobody would have know because our it wasn’t visible to the public.  The coolest part is, She changed her pic to an old one of us together, that was funny because it seems so believable.

Yall should see the status replies I’ve gotten. Only a few people Knew that me and Bethany were an actual couple. I even got a phone call from Kandace… She got a call from Brandy who doesn’t know Bethany or never knew of her, so when Brandy told Kandace about it. Kandace called like 3 times trying to figure out what was up… LOL I told her “ I’ll call u and let u know the details” ..LOL when she finds that it’s Bethany She’ll just Laugh at it all.

I didn’t even Mention it while talking to Qui because it’s likely she already knew it was a joke.  The funny thing is, the way we both were responding to these messages were all Giggles!  They’re not paying attention to detail. .. and the funny part about it.. my page views skyrocketed with folks being nosey… yeah there’s no page count on facebook  you can sure tell who’s  recently viewed your page by looking at your friends list when u log on to your page LOL

That’s if they know her personally….LOL

It’s been a Great day… We’re going to keep this going until she’s ready to drop the title … The Funny thing is. We were up her talking about putting it as a Civil Union because it would have made it even funnier. lol

Thursday XP

Today I found myself Fixing my cousins Windows XP computer. Everything was wrong with it. She bought the computer from someone, Not only did it have hundreds of viruses, There were way too many system errors.  All files on the PC were Hidden. It took a long time to get the machine up and running. I I had to unhide them to get all the programs and files in the start menu running.  I even had to manually stop malware from activating. Aside from that. my Cousin who now owns this PC, was only using it through the Guest profile setting.

Aside from the Computer being pretty much updated, there’s no way to update it now because  there are system files missing that prevent it from happening. I even had to download the rundll32 file.. Just imagine having to do a whole load of maintenance without being able to access these system files.  Good thing i have Harins Boot CD   With it I was able to use it to access the main admin account, scan for viruses & malware as well as fix the registry before actually un-hiding the files. oddly enough i couldn’t merge or delete older profiles on the PC.. But I was able to open them up.

 

After getting all of that straight, I tried to Install Microsoft Security Essentials, NO HOPE. I  thought I'd be able to get that done. NOPE…. I downloaded Avast For Boot Virus Scanning purposes only.  It got rid up  whole lot of Trojans & Worms. After The Scan, I Uninstalled it. Then Installed the New Version of Advance System Care. which, for this system Is the perfect all in one utility. for the system.  In addition to that. I installed a few other programs to the PC just for general usage purposes. such as Picasa, Live Essentials, Open Office  The Zune Theme, as well as a recent Codec Package.

There are still minor problems like shutdown times and even activation of the shutdown starter as well as Account and user switching. but to assure that the think gets shutdown properly, I added a Shutdown Shortcut to the desktop.

What was crazy about this whole thing is that after un-hiding everything, I looked through and deleted all of the Photo, Video and Data files within the “My Documents” section. there were 32GB of  Unused Media since 2007. it’s crazy because all my cousin was able to access was the internet from this PC.    Aside from those  documents being school work, about 12 of them were letters to her Military Man, or Ex Military man.. Yeah I skimmed through a few of them. they had titles like “I Hate Him” and “To My One and Only” that drew my attention LOL. Shame right? … Well yeah. I deleted all of it. The only thing i kept on it was the Music.   Now I can Return it to it's current owner  with no serious issues and more space to actually USE the PC.

The funny thing about it, No matter when I'm fixing a PC and i post something on Facebook about it, Folks are like “Get A Mac” or laugh at the posts …  thinking It’s my own PC,..they don’t realize I fix these things for compensation. I’m The Man when it comes to this stuff…  Also. I myself don’t use a Mac.but I do have a desire to just don’t have the money for it. at the same time just like anyone else, Brand loyalty speaks louder sometimes…

I’m about to check in to a few more things before i shut that bad boy down for good

Rising River

On May 3rd  levees on the on the Mississippi river were blown up to stop flooding in towns up north Places in Illinois, Missouri & Kentucky are flooding badly.  Every time i see news like that, i shake my head.  Now that they blew those levees It’s expected that Louisiana will be getting a whole lot of water especially  in places like Baton Rouge

I think there won’t be any flooding to the New Orleans area due to the fact that we’ve experienced high water levels many times in the river from floods in the recent past.… but in Baton Rouge it sure may have depending on how high the water gets.  because the way the River looks there is similar to how land meets water in Bayou St. John…  at least that’s how i saw it from where I was standing…

All in all, I hope the flood waters in the northern states drop fast and flow directly into the gulf with no problem. because they’re reporting that This could be as big as the great Mississippi River flood of 1927… sounds terrible..

… The Irony of that is that here in N.O. The Katrina conspiracy is that “They” purposely destroyed the levee’s here. … I’ll leave it at that for now because it’s been talked about enough in my opinion.

Back in April 2005 I blogged about The Sniper Situation with Mark Essex some time after watching the movie "Phonebooth"  Soon After seeing the movie, I did a search for "Sniper In New Orleans" to see what I'd get. I talked to my parents about it as well as other folks who remember it happening..

Because of all of the talk and after blogging about it, I searched the web for info on Essex and found an entry  on BestofnewOrleans.com called "The Heroes of The Howard Johnson" which was written some time in 2003 I cut & pasted it to is blog for my readers to see proof of what I had recently blogged about who may not  have known what it was..Well. Gang Activity

Everybody Knows that in N.O. There are no REAL gangs, or so we thought.  Well, According to the news recent new as reports, there are gangs in this city. In the recent past there were few that have been caught & disbanded, yet there are others on the rise  Most of these gangs are only small groups of people within a neighborhood who are there just to bring  the “Criminal Element” to their area. 

Pre-Karina, There weren't Gangs, There may be gang-like Activity, but there weren’t gangs.  but the there was a criminal element within neighborhoods set around  Housing Projects, and just being familiar with your own neighborhood. We had Turf Wars which are dumb, but no real gangs. When it came to crime, it was individual, not gang operated.  Retaliation for these crimes may have ended in death. and the cycle continued.

The Projects and Ward beef  pre Katrina  was also  stupid, but it happened.  The Fights and murders over Drugs or stolen goods were senseless as well  but it wasn’t gang activity. Now I’m watching the news and reading about these Gangs with Fancy Cartoonish/Ghetto names causing trouble in Neighborhoods.

By Definition yes they are gangs. It Bothers Me that these are  Young Groups of Kids doing all the dirt.  That makes it look bad on their families and parent. which brings me to  ask Where are the parents of these kids? Some don’t even know that they’re Housing Criminals  .. That’s just how bad it is now .. I hate it all because doesn’t represent Me, nor My people, nor New Orleans.

The World Is Very Different Now.

9/11/01, The date America was Attacked & the Towers came down. I was In High School, At that point The world was changed forever. There were changes in National and Global Security and The War on Terror Begun. Since that time I’ve tuned in and tuned out of the things that associated with these wars simply because you get tired of hearing about people dying,

I’ve seen pictures and video of the madness from various news sources.  We’ve seen published online the works of Al-Qaeda and other Terrorist organizations, the capture and killing of innocent people such as reporters who were beheaded live online.  We’ve seen the Capture of Saddam.. We’ve seen more bloodshed… And Here, Now nearly 10 years later we’re looking the demise of the man We’ve blamed for it all, the man who’s taken responsibility for it all… Osama Bin Laden

After all the tapes and the threats on air., after all the conspiracies .. Today  we now know that Osama Bin Laden was Killed in a Mansion in a Regular Neighborhood.. Not in a Cave like they lead us to believe, but a Mansion.. He was Living it up.. Now He’s Dead and Buried at sea…

At This point, it’s like  “WOW… It’s About time!”  Many folks were giving up on His capture. it’s been used as the butt of many jokes for years and now that' it’s really happened. It’s shocked the world especially Obama confirming it.. that put the icing on the cake for many…

It’s almost like Justice being served for all that has been done by the terrorist who have followed his lead and for the families of victims of 9/11 and for the Troops killed in the war. It

Thanks to the Troops Many Operations over the have been Accomplished. but the the Mission is not complete. it’s also uncertain that the terrorism will continue by individuals or groups who were in support of Bin Laden, or if al-Qaeda will remain strong.  only Time Will tell.. But the Face of Terrorism has been taken down and that’s a great thing. 

Yeah, I’m happy to know this.. but I know it’s not over… Hopefully we can get the troops out of there…  The People are celebrating. History is being made. but the fight is still on..Thanks to the Troops, Thank you Obama, Thank you America, Thank God for Freedom.

We’ve seen Change 9 Year ago. and We’re seeing Change now…. It’s Amazing..
